Grateful they opened this up. Even though it's not in the best of neighborhoods, I have never had a problem.

This store is filthy! There's stuff on the floor, it's a mess! I only go here if it's my only option! I prefer the Hartsel location!

A big bunch of cheap stuff. Great for gag gifts. I buy all my greeting cards here and save big.

Pretty good dollar store. The people there are pretty sweet as well. Also clean bathrooms when you need to whiz quickly.

A woman at my church introduced me to Life Network and their mission, I was stoked to hear that I finally found a place that I knew would appreciate my items and was excited to donate today (May 31, 2025). However I was met with an assistant at the donation door that made me wish I would have just given it all to Goodwill (I am not typically a Yelper and I always try to give the benefit of the doubt, and it's only once in a blue moon that I have an experience so bad that I have to share it.) The assistant who was working the donations (kind of a young kid that looked to be in his early 20's with blonde-ish hair) greeted me with the WORST attitude I have ever experienced from a human being, let alone an employee who is supposed to be there to assist! I first had to get his attention by ringing the bell on the donation door which was ajar, this was apparently a huge no-no because he almost plowed into me when rushing out the building (I must've interrupted something.) The back door to my car often sticks and sometimes takes a second to get open, when I couldn't get it open right away he expressed his agitation very obviously by throwing his hands up in the air with a "PSSH!!" that was loud enough for me to notice, (I promise this really happened and my review is not exaggerated.) I politely told him that I can come back another time, so he saw that I noticed his attitude but it was not enough to fix it. He informed me that it was fine. After I finally got my car door open he then proceeded to yank things out of my car that were not for donating and threw everything on a mountain pile in a very aggravated manner, certainly breaking some things in the process. More than once did I have to inform him that not everything in my car is for donating and that there were fragile items in most of the boxes. I was bothering him, it was perfectly clear. So I took the obvious hint and ended up cutting the donations short and took the rest of my items to a different thrift store. I I guess it was a wise decision because he promptly slammed the donation door behind me. I for the life of me can't figure out what I said or did wrong, I didn't even look at him funny. It was a very strange and surprising encounter indeed. He was a young kid that obviously couldn't keep from acting out his frustration (or whatever it was that was bothering him today.) I definitely want to support Life Network's cause and will say that this kid was simply having a bad day and definitely (and quite obviously) did not want to be at work or deal with people, he expressed it VERY clearly. I hope he was able to go home early and calm down a bit, because he was definitely on edge about something. I pray everything is okay. I will try again another day and hopefully will be at least met with a smile and a "thanks, have a good day", even if the assistant has to pretend.
