I love this location, they have great cheap party supplies, stocking stuffers, gifts and things for your home! Why pay more, when you can buy everything for just $1 each, what I've purchased is pretty decent quality from them as well! Still kicking! Amid all of the closures and consolidation among dollar stores (99 cents too) this location of dollar tree is open for business. The inventory is not as full as it may have been, but even with fewer employees and some disheveled inventory, the aisles are still easy to navigate and they have what I frequent these discount outlets for and was not disappointed. I guess you'll have to check for yourself to see if they still stock what you're looking for in the Carmichael area. I was satisfied and recommended this store. read more

Was finished shopping and patiently waited in line for the Cashier named "C***L to turn around from stocking nearby kitchen items so she can ring me up. As I was just waiting for her, the line was getting more backed up. An employee who was leaving passed by and kindly told her that she had a line (she had to tell her at least twice). She turns around and says "well, if they went right up to counter I can see them". (No Ma'am, you're supposed to look around you from time to time so you can see if you have customers you need to be helping). I was one step away from the counter so I don't know where that snarky remark came from. She proceeded to talk down on me like some child and sarcastically pointed to some squeaking toy hanging on the counter that I was magically supposed to know to press to get her attention. Mind you I didn't even say a thing to her and just patiently waited for her to see us. Her very bad attitude needs some attention. Don't be upset at the customer(s) because your co-worker gently reminded you to turn around because you had people in line. read more

Went to get some balloons that we purchased elsewhere inflated with helium, which the corporate website says Dollar Tree stores will do for a fee. An employee began inflating balloons. A manager came out and stopped the employee from inflating balloons, midway through inflating one, and said they won't inflate balloons purchased elsewhere. The one star is for the employee who tried to be helpful. The manager is a complete Zero. read more

DYLAN IS A GREAT EMPLOYEE. THE OLD LADY COWORKER IS A NASTY PERSON. Went into this dollar tree today and left feeling disgusted. The lady who I assume was the manager was making the nastiest remarks to the poor boy on the register. The manager was a older lady with lighter hair. The boys name was Dylan and he was wonderful at his job. The store was busy and she was on break. The boy at the register asked her one simple question and she made a nasty remark along the lines of " can I go one minute with out you asking me a question god I can't even take a break around here". The man in front of me and I made a look at each other not believing the nasty remark she just said. The man in front of me asked the boy how his day is and he said good but could be better. That's when the manager exclaimed. "Could be worst you could be unemployed!" I audibly gasped and said out loud how insane that statement is. The whole time she was making these nasty remarks to Dylan he remained calm and smiley. He had amazing customer service and knows how to do his job efficiently. I have come to this location many times and he is the first person I've seen with such a smiley personality. I hope Dylan finds a better job who appreciates him more! I don't know where to even start.... Well the Dollar Tree is the largest single-price point retailer in the nation and as a result gets some pretty good stuff. You can buy greeting cards, mailing supplies, glassware, paper products, teachers' supplies, toys and so much more. While some of the items can be iffy (using their batteries in your smoke detector - yikes!), after shopping here a while you'll begin to figure out what you like and what you don't. Sure not everything is of great quality, but so much of the stuff you're going to buy is most likely only going to be used once (gift wrapping, kids toys until they break, party decoration/supplies) and that's probably why you stopped here. But on the flip side the DT carries numerous name brands - Comet cleaners, AJAX, Dawn & Palmolive dish washing soap, Colgate & Crest toothpaste, Coca-Cola branded glassware, Campbell's and sometimes Progressive soup, bean-o, Hefty plastic bags, candy and more. The closest one is next door at Petco - They get shipments of new/replenished merchandise on Thursday mornings. - If you need a large quantity of something, it doesn't hurt to check out their website and order bulk quantities online with free shipping if picked up in the store. - DT corporate policy states that they do not accept returns - only exchanges. Seasonal (Xmas, Easter, graduation, Luau) items technically cannot be exchanged, but if the store still has the items in stock they might allow you to exchange the items. I just called to ask if they had a product. The phone was answered, I asked if they had the item, the guy says, "we're closed." I say , "can you just tell me if you have it? " Again he says, "we're closed", again I say "can you just tell me?"He says "we're closed, call back tomorrow." I didn't know they were closed or I would not have called to begin with. As far as Dollar Trees go, this one's the one of the best. They always have plenty of stock, great selection, and friendly employees. I have the sense of smell of a pregnant woman, so the fact that this one doesn't smell gross means the world to me. Even two days before Christmas they were clean, well stocked, and patient. This is my favorite dollar tree to shop at. They have a nice big selection and the store is organized and clean. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful. I have been there so many times and not once have I had a staff member be unfriendly. I was in there today and when I walked out there were two items that I did not put in my basket on my receipt. I walked back in to return them and I was told that they had a no refund policy. Daniel, the manager was extremely rude while stating that he didn't care how the pins got there, that the conversation was over and that he wasn't going to go on a staring contest with me. I was looking at him to see what he was going to do about this because although it was just 2 dollars, it could have been 5 or more yet he rudely responded this way. It's not about the $2. It's about the fact that those items must've been in the basket already so check your baskets in the future because this seems like a conniving way to get a dollar here and a dollar there with the only choice to exchange crap you didn't want for crap you don't need as they do not refund. read more

Dollar tree is a must sometimes! Whether it be to wrap a last minute gift, throw together the final touches for a party, or grab some essentials on my way out of town (like travel toiletries), I always find myself dashing in during times when I really just need something random ASAP. They carry tons of name brands and the variety at this particular Dollar Tree location has always been impressive. The employees are always really friendly and sweet, and the store seems to be well organized and I'm constantly seeing employees stocking and straightening the goods. Especially for things like holiday and party decorating, the prices and variety can't be beat! read more

I come here often for various things. The manager has been there a long time and is always calm and friendly. They have a variety of itmes. I have onyl had to deal with one rude employee. He still works there and I do try to avoid him. If I could change anytihng, they would call a second cashier when needed. The lines tend to get long. The good outweighs the bad. read more

I stopped by this location because it's on the way to my daughters school and I was picking her up. I filled my basket and got in line. There were 3 people in front of me. The cashier was extremely slow. It took about 5 minutes to get through the first two customers. Then as he was ringing out the customer in front of me the phone rang. Apparently he is the only person working because he had to go to another register to answer the phone. He then took another 5 minutes of trying to page someone, who wasn't there. Then the customer in front of my wanted balloons. Once again he must have been the only employee there because he started filling balloons. If there were more people working he did not bother to call for help after I stood there 15 minutes. And if he was the only employee that is just ridiculous management. God forbid there might be customers with multiple needs. I ended up setting my basket down a leaving because I had to pick my daughter up. I even said I can't wait this long and the cashier made no attempt to keep my business. I stood in line 16 minutes prior to leaving. read more
