*This is a replica (some updates) review as there appears to be a "Gabe's" and "Gabriel Brothers"…read morefor Greensburg. Gabe's has changed a lot over the past years. I remember coming here as a child when it was Gabriel Brothers and they owned the space right next to it (at the time was the outlet section owned by them). I also remember sidewalk sales at the end of each season. I'm not sure of the ownership details, but Gabe's has become a lot like TJ Max and Marshall's in set up, reconstruction, the rewards program, and pricing in some aspects. Throughout all the changes over the years, this location has remained my favorite. I like the one in Monroeville, but I always thought this one had a better selection and organization iveralCaring and fun employees. Awesome prices. Always a wonderful selection of name brand items. Forever "shockingly low prices"; it's not just the motto people--IT'S TRUE! I got a thick Banana Republic sweater cardigan for $7.99!!! I also got navy over-the-knee boots for $16.99!!! Like you just can't beat it. In the past couple years, Gabe's started a rewards program. At first, I was like 'whatever'. But I've come to enjoy it and use. Why? Because it brings you coupons!!! Yesterday I received a coupon for $15 off $50+ purchase. So in conclusion, if you want great deals and you're willing to be patient enough to sometimes have to look for them, then Gabe's is the place for you. I will say that these clothes racks could use some organization as many items are just thrown on the racks based on category. For example, one rack may have various types dresses on it including work dresses, day dresses, and evening dresses all at different prices and no more than 5 of the same dress if that. But this also makes the hunt more fun!

4.5 stars. Ross Dress for Less is an off-price discount-store chain that sells clothing and shoes…read morefor adults and children, accessories such as handbags, home goods such as kitchenware and rugs, beauty and hygiene products, some pet supplies, and much more. This particular Ross is in the Greengate Centre shopping center. I occasionally shop at Ross to search their racks and shelves for bargains. During my visit here, I looked throughout the store but especially in the women's clothing and home goods. The shelves and racks appeared to be fully stocked and organized. The prices were reasonable. For example, I saw a pack of several pairs of Calvin Klein underwear for $22, a Henckels ceramic pan for about $25, a 6-pack of Skechers socks for several dollars, a nice sundress for $18, and a Michael Kors purse for $63. Those bargains were tough to pass up (I am still thinking about them!), but I did buy a cellphone cord and a dog toy. The cashier rang up my purchase properly.

I was actually surprised that this Ross does not look like others. By that I mean that there is…read moreactual product in here that you can look through. The store doesn't look half empty and they didn't do that thing where they rearranged everything in the store making it confusing to find things. I came in today looking for a few items and really didn't find anything to my liking. I browsed all the racks that I could to find some clothes and it's always hit or miss because you can't always find what you want when you want it here. The employees seemed rather happy to be working and helpful when they can can be. I find it odd that they have now moved the fitting rooms to the front of the store and there is no one really there to man them now. So if you are alright with waiting a bit then you can definitely spend some time in here.

Update! New owners…read morehave recently taken over this Plato's location. In the short time that they've been reestablished, there has already been a significant improvement! Better social presence, more helpful and believable employees, way better selection. In the process of changing owners, a lot of the old and less desirable clothing was deeply discounted and removed from the store (I actually got lucky and bought a sick pair of vintage leather cowgirl boots for $5 during this period). There are already so many better clothing, shoes, and accessory options. I really look forward to becoming a frequent customer here now! This location is now on par with Monroeville, Bridgeville, and McKnight. Definitely recommend!

I called ahead to ask if they were still taking buys as it was later on in the day. They confirmed that they were and I went over with my items. Mind you this is a thrift store. Not a designer brand store or marketing brand new items store. A THRIFT. STORE. I waited about 30 minutes to come back into the store and find that they weren't taking my items due to " wear" and that they were overstocked. Someone explain to me why they were still taking buys if they were overstocked??? And with clothing items you wear them obviously. On top of which if I never even wore the items they were going to give me 30% of the retail value. I didn't want to sell the clothes for profit as they are USED and HAVE WEAR. So obviously I wasn't expecting a ton of money. I just wanted to free up some closet space. Plato's closet will not be seeing me again that's for sure.
