It's a very unassuming location so I wasn't sure what to expect when I walked in. The produce is the first section you walk into as you enter so that was good because I didn't have to go searching for the deals. Everything I wanted was still in stock and I found a few extra treats that weren't on the list at great prices(ex. 7.5oz Wholly Guacamole bowls for $1 each-a steal!) I ended up buying blackberries, raspberries, Vidalia onions, zucchini, squash, Cincinnati Reds peanuts, spring mix and arugula and my total was less than $16. The deal is that everything is probably close to their "best by" date but for such a low price I can afford to "use em or lose em". I browsed around the store to see what else they had and I may have to check out some of their clothing next time because it looked like some good deals to be had in that area as well. Per what I could find out, it's an all-volunteer effort and this is one of three locations. I will also note that this location relocated from a spot further south. There are also spots in Taylorsville and Beech Grove. I was in the area having some care work done nearby, and I decided to make a quick visit on my way from visiting some spots in the area. What can I say? This is true thrift. There are occasional community giveaway days. Prices are pretty amazing, and the selection is quite varied. There's a strong element of faith throughout, of course, and that includes attitude, decor, and to a certain degree even selection. After a quick visit, I was pleased to see a friend of mine on one of their social media posts. The entry is pretty accessible. The layout leans toward comfortable chaos, but I had no issues with getting around for the most part. I would enter with, well, humble expectations. There's really nothing fancy to be found here, but I found friendly volunteers with affordable items supporting a good cause. So, while this may not be the best thrift store in town it's a meaningful one worth the support.

They have women's shoes in the front, beauty products, bags and accessories, dresses (formal and causal), and home goods along with the girls, boys, and men's departments. It's not a huge store, but they carry a lot. I I like Ross because It's a little bit of everything, and the prices are reasonable. I needed new jeans, so I found 3 pairs that I wanted to try on. They generally are known to have nice jeans/denim for good pricing. My husband found some gym shorts at reasonable prices. They have a fitting room in the back, but a man was there working and said they were closing it down. He directed me to the fitting room upfront. There was only one fitting room open up front (one was closed down), and a line started forming. I waited about 15 minutes for the fitting room, which was inconvenient. I decided to purchase 1 out of the 3 I tried on, and they were $15 which is cheap. The line to check out was fairly long too. One of the workers checking people out said she was taking her break, so it only left one lady at the register. Eventually someone else came to help her out and the line started to move a little faster. We stood in the checkout line about 20 minutes, definitely need to have patience when shopping. This location is connected to other business with shared parking, which can get crowded when busy.

This is a really large store with two floors. Upstairs is all clothing and accessories. Do yourself a favor and grab a basket when you go in. I walked past so many things because I didn't want to carry them around the store, but then forgot where I saw everything. The layout is slightly confusing, but there are tape arrows on the floor and "you are here" maps posted around. The prices do vary by booth. A few of the things I wanted seemed on the expensive side but a quick google search confirmed they were indeed accurate prices. Sometimes the cute stuff is expensive!
