Waldmann's fits right in on Main St in Jefferson which bills itself as the "gemütlichkeit city". (I can attest that it's true - peeps here are really nice!) Waldmann's sells shoes, but only "sensible" ones. Things like work boots, moccasins, Hush Puppies - no sandals or skanky heels here! As you might guess, there is a large supply of shoe polishes, replacement laces, etc - stuff you don't often find anymore. Thanks to Ron R, we knew they had a few racks of genuine German tracht on consignment - dirndls, boiled wool coats, lederhosen, etc. There were some very high quality pieces here at extremely reasonable prices (especially if you know the prices of genuine tracht!). Hubs missed out on the deal of century - $50 lederhosen. Tragically, they just weren't his size. I scored a spotless dirndl blouse for $15 though. The lady that runs this store is just the sweetest older lady - a fitting representative for the gemütlichkeit city.

There's the occasional one that falls above or below the average, but they are more or less all pretty reliable. The most notable thing about this Kwik Trip is that instead of having a single-use bathroom there are two stalls, but they are more private than average - actual walls for separation and heavy doors that go almost from floor to ceiling. If you've liked other Kwik Trips, you'll like this one too.

I ordered an iced coffee with caramel flavor. You cab choose a Lindt chocolate flavor to put in your drink. The iced coffee was horrible. I couldn't even taste the coffee. Tasted like water mixed with chocolate powder. Two ladies tendering at the beverage bar were bickering about who knows what. The older lady cashier wasn't very pleasant. Maybe she needed more chocolate in her life. I would go back for chocolate, who doesn't love the cocoa?! Skipping a drink next time!

Excellent service here - we wanted to buy the peanut butter truffles (Lindt, you've got to start…read moreselling them in the UK again!) but not too many as we've got a luggage allowance to stick to. But the staff managed to work out the cheapest price point per truffle for the volume we wanted (whether it was in a pre-sealed bag, or loose etc). I'm a little bit up in the air about them keeping the peanut butter truffles behind the counter due to potential issues with allergies - but I think that's because they're so delicious that they want to keep them for themselves!! The staff were super friendly and helpful, which is all you really want in a store which is mostly self service anyway. The goods taste (already started eating the peanut butter truffles, so perhaps I'll have more room in my bags flying back than expected!) like they always have, so there's nothing to differentiate those from the chocolates in any other Lindts stores elsewhere).
