I have been in many Dollar Tree stores throughout California. This may be the worst managed store in the entire state. The manager there has a bad attitude towards patrons. We were waiting in a check out line that was nearly 40 ft long. When I asked the manager (who was the checker at the time) if he could call another checker, he announced that they have no other checkers even though there were several employees stocking shelves and one using his cell phone. It wasn't even the fact that the other employees were available but the particular tone that the so called manager exibited when telling myself and the customers in line this blatant lie. Two stars for halfway decent items that are sold but the customer service is absolutely terrible, especially lately. The checker with the glasses that ALWAYS wears plastic gloves needs to learn what appropriate comments are. He is always making snarky remarks and is very rude to customers on most days. Very slow checkers with almost always unnecessary lines. Hope this is just rumor but have been told certain employees let their friends steal. Went in there yesterday and bought Halloween light up decor got home none of the items I bought lite up spent $6 and $7 for each item spent $30 and nothing lite up very upset waste of money read more

AVOID THIS BUSINESS! I can see why this store had 1-star after my altercation with the cashier. I was returning an item (a cake) I bought the day prior because it didn't taste good. I also shopped for a few food items, knowing that you can exchange unopened stuff back. The checker ("Magy") scanned my items, and I handed her my exchange. Imediately, this checker copped an attitude with me: "This isn't how we do this - you have to bring these items up first so we can see them." Understandable, however, both checkers were busy when I walked in, and no one paid attention to me. So, I did my shopping. I really didn't appreciate her accusatory tone and statement, but she continued "I guess I'll do your transaction because you're grumpy." ...Yup. Followed by, "someone needs his sugar," I happened to be buying junk, but she's not allowed to judge my transaction. Under her breath, the entire time, she's saying things to gaslight me. I respond "can we just finish the transaction without your comments?" We get into a screaming match, of which I don't remember, but it gained an audience from other shoppers. She noticed, at which point she said "It's just like a MAN to act like this!" And then the customer watching said "I'm going to call the police on you." I'm calling the manager as soon as this sexist twit is off duty. She's currently claiming to be the manager, but that's not likely. read more

This establishment is very unprofessional. They always close the store at random times for no reason and don't advertise it. I recently went there for something and it was 9:20pm on Saturday, they close at 10pm. You can find that information online, and also when you call and ask them. When I arrived, the automatic doors would not open, so I waited a moment and a worker inside rudely looked at me, shooed me away and walked into the back of the store. I waited several more moments before I decided to call and they told me they had to close early for "system malfunctions" and then rudely hung up the phone. Not only that, the employees are very disrespectful, always giving people mean looks and saying rude things. The Dollar General is right down the street, and I will now go there every time I need something from the Dollar Tree. I highly recommend you DO NOT waste your time going to the Dollar Tree. read more

Since the bag law passed, I have had two bad experiences with employees at this store. Yesterday I got in line and when I finally got up the counter a big tall buy asks me if I need bags. I tell him no and put my bags on the counter. He proceeds to check my items piling them up on the counter never bagging one single item. I waited for him to start bagging and never did. My son and I started to bag. When he handed me my receipt I asked him where in the new bag law does it say your not supposed to bag my items. Cashiers now think that because there is a new bag law they don't have to bag. He turned it on me and said I put the bags in the wrong place. He then ignored me and still did not help to bag the rest of the items. I called the and spoke with the manager about 5 minutes later which was a woman. I think she was cashiering behind me when this happened. She said she would talk to him. Of course she won't. She never even apologized to me for the bad experience. The customer service in there is horrible and the lines are always long. Not enough cashiers every time I go in there. If you don't like your job get a new one. You don't have to treat customers badly because your unhappy at your job. read more

Great store and items very clean compare to other dollar stores ive been too also more organized. Need more registeres opened. sometimes ive gone in for 1 or 2 items and have to wait 15 min in line. night shift employees seem to be more friendly been there during day got a few bad attitudes from some employees two who have stood out the most as very rude a young man name jorge? and a younger women as well who i was not able to see her name on her name tag. read more
