What happened simultaneously was that the inventory, the quality and at this specific Levittown location the caliber and level of the employees went up 2500 percent imho. In this store on Hempstead Turnpike you get: 1) The wonderful Manager Sabrina who is the kindest dynamo; plus her great team of Monica who goes through that line with a smile in seconds and Lee who is just so kind and courteous. 2) A beautiful store that is always fully stocked. I have to mention the quality of the items - they have better greeting cards. They have Planters peanuts in multiple flavors; candies galore. A great freezer section. Really good quality and sturdy stationery that gets updated every few weeks. The balloons are cuter. Love the seasonal items - July 4, Memorial Day, Back to School, Labor Day, Halloween, Fall, Thanksgiving, Christmas, Valentine's Day. Love their $1.25 new year calendars that are beautiful. 3) They also have new items eg a five pack of really good sweat socks for $5. 6) This is a really big store where every single inch has been utilized and maximized. 7) The parking lot is huge. 8) This is the only Dollar Tree in the area that is open till 10 pm. You want to shop at 9:30 pm- you have Carte Blanche with every aisle open. 9) The team goes around picking up and straightening. 10) This is a great store. read more

The store is so organized - more so than almost every Dollar Tree that I have been to. They have a wide variety of planting items, toys and items for the home that all cost the standard price. Best of all, the employees were super friendly - smiling and saying hello, and there were multiple registers open, which moved quickly, despite the upcoming holiday. 10/10 will shop here again! read more

I visited this dollar tree in Levittown. I was actually impressed with this location. It's larger than the ones by me, but what really impressive me was the freight was not on the floor. Everything was stocked in place. I've been to many dollar trees and they are always a mess. Plus this one had more of a selection on they're shelves. I'll shop here again. read more

This is by far the best Dollar Tree around. It's a very large store and somehow they are able to keep the shelves stocked while others can't. They are also one of the few stores that keep multiple registers open. It's a very busy store so you can be sure that everything you're getting is fresh. There's plenty of parking and it's easy to get around inside. read more

Think again... as Dollar Tree gets you more bang for One U.S. Dollar for personal care, party supplies, home decor are all $1.00. Dollar Tree unlike other discount or $.99 retailers are much cleaner and organized. It is somewhat well stocked with ample lighting. I'm not sure if you would like to admit you shop at a dollar store.......but this is probably the only chain that you won't be embarrassed to be seen by your friends in. As you cart your way through the neat and organized aisles, it's almost certain you'll find something that suits your fancy. It's a great place to go if you have young children, they'll leave the store with loads of inexpensive (and sometimes disposable) toys that is very easy on your wallet. It's also good for seasonal items that can spruce up your back yard. And the best part of all........when you walk in, you're not met with the lingering stench of body odor and whatever other foul smells you seem to get at other discount/99 cent stores. How can anyone dislike Dollar Tree? I mean, really. EVERYTHING is a dollar! Dollar Tree offers items for $1 while elsewhere they would be $5. We are in a recession, people! Learn to love saving a few bucks here and there. I come to this location whenever I'm on the island. I have never walked out empty-handed, I have also never walked out broke. Even their food selection is decent. They have Texas Toast for a buck while in the supermarket you pray you have a coupon for it somewhere. Dollar tree comes to mind when you need some basic items for a fraction of the price. I usually stop here to grab greeting cards that run about 50 cents a pop or gift wrap that would normally cost several dollars in any other store. They have lots of wrapping paper, bows and bags of all sizes. There are also great glassware from cups to vases to make cute centerpieces for your next party. In addition they have basic party supplies from crate paper streamers, noise makers and small favors. You can also grab everyday items from household cleaners, kitchen items and toiletries. I was happy to see they now have travel items there as well that you can grab and go for your travel needs. Even though they do sell food, I wouldn't buy from the store just because I'm not sure how often the supply is bought or rotated within. I love all dollar trees. They help to feed and clothes with hats, scarves, socks, and booties, as well as baby clothing and beautiful items to decorate your home. The Levittown store is the absolute best I have ever ever step foot in. The Levitown store has the most incredible staff as unfortunately for them I do spend anywhere from three to $600 because I donate most of all of it to my charity. My charity is earth, angel, mother of God and I will be having a website open to anyone that needs love. I wanna shout out every staff member that has helped me bring up a large order. They are organized, they work so well together and they all have beautiful beautiful hearts. The most amazing staff and I am so proud of them. I am a very good customer of this store and I can not believe the fat manager on Thursday mornings was the rudest ever. They over charged me. When the cashier asked the manager to adjust the sale... he was upset and nasty because he only had 2 registers open and he told me I was apparently holding up the line mean while they made the mistake ... after canceling my sale and returning my money ... he refused to re-ring my items and basically told me the line is too long ... how does a manager allow a customer that wants to buy something in their store walk out and refuse to let them buy the items.... It's a typical dollar store, but it is spacious. I would never buy food from here, but it's great for party supplies. The kids will have a great time here and everything is a dollar so you can treat them to some toys or glowsticks and they'll feel like a million bucks. I also buy my gym shampoo and conditioner from here so I don't have to have $7 bottles for home and the gym. There are brand name items here, so you can probably trust those to hold up okay. No returns though they'll let you trade in one-for-one. read more

While this place does have a wide variety of cheap items to buy it really is all about the dollar here. I was very disappointed to see them freely selling multiple cartons of eggs to teenagers on Halloween when most of the other stores in the area would not. A man that seemed to be management said that there's "no law against teenagers buying eggs on Halloween" and that they were going to be selling them to anyone regardless of the teens' obvious plans to cause trouble in the local neighborhood. read more

This is a pretty nice dollar store with a great selection of birthday decorations, perfect place for stocking stuffers or gift bag fillers, and I love the $1 balloons. I have repurposed things that I have bought at the dollar tree, saving me so much money, and giving me a creative outlet as well! This is a large dollar tree compared to other locations. Their aisles are stocked pretty well and I was able to locate a few items I could not find at my local dollar tree. Unfortunately my great experience was cut short when I was looking the magnetic tin cans and my thumb was punctured by the metal by the edge of the lid. Apparently some of these are defective. It really dug into my skin and it bled more than a superficial paper cut. I informed a worker and the only thing he said to me was "How unfortunate." He didn't even offer a bandaid or anything; I asked to use the restroom to clean my wound. After that a worker on the floor said I should report my injury to the manager. After cleaning the cut, I collected the defective item and showed proceeded to ask for the manager who happened to be the same man I had no regard for my safety. He didn't have anything to say to me except "Do you want to fill out an incident report?". To his indifference I said "Yes, I do want to file a report". Only later did I realize the store was full of corporate surveyors reviewing the store. Dollar tree should be ashamed of how they treat their customers. At least my cashier had enough empathy to ask about my cut. Good thing I had my own bandaids. It seems like all dollar tree cares about are the sales. read more

I got a huge attitude from a worker who was asked to help me with my order after yelling at her manager saying that she wants to eat. This is ultimately, my all-time favorite dollar store. There is no guesswork here like when you go to all the other dollar stores. Everything is $1 or less. Parking is always plentiful. There are two entrances from N. Wantagh Avenue or Hempstead Turnpike at the traffic light. It's right across from Target and with these two stores combined in such a close vicinity, I am in heaven. These two stores overtake my life. While at Dollar Tree, it is what they boast everyday: new items every week! You never know what you'd find at the dollar tree and the item you wanted may not be in stock the next week. This store has a great selection of seasonal and regular items. I can push a shopping cart or use a basket, but as a lot of people say, they end up buying more than what they came here for. One thing about some of the shopping carts now is that they installed a long pole on some of them and I can't leave the store with the cart, causing me inconvenience to lug all my shopping bags out the door to my car. My husband is a fan of the $1 beef jerckys here. After the holidays, you would be sure to see many seasonal items at 1/2 price. On the downside, they tend to hire teenagers who are apathetic and complain openly about how they are treated here at Dollar Tree. It seems though Dollar Tree is pretty strict with their employees. Now, they introduced something new where you can order your Dollar Tree items online and have it either shipped to you or shipped to the Dollar Tree store for pick-up, but with a $4.95 handling charge whether you ship it to yourself or to the store. Even though I moved to Queens now, it causes me great stress that I cannot go to this Dollar Tree anymore. There isn't any Dollar Tree in Queens. The one in Levittown is simply the best one out there. I've tried the one in Massapequa and Garden City and it simply does not compare. I can tell business was going good since I've seen them open up many stores when I was still in Long Island over the years. Soon Dollar Tree will take over your life and you should give it a try. I hate all the other dollar stores for claiming things are 99 cents or a dollar, but when you go in you find more than 1/2 the store is over a dollar. Not only is everything a dollar at Dollar tree, but the items are not cheaply made as many people come to expect from a dollar store. I would say a lot of the items I buy are good quality, even the food and drinks. The great part of buying dollar items is the fact you can also charge them on your credit card. Dollar Tree accepted Discover cards, but now they are accepting Visa cards as well so shop away. You can never find what you're looking for, plus they carry the bare minimum. This location has everything in its place and carry a wide variety in each section. I was in Dollar tree tonight. Six teenage boys were at the cashier buying four half cartons of fresh eggs. I saw the manager floating around nearby watching. My dog got the gravy train dog food here. Let me tell you, the train chugged right on through my dogs intestines onto a wet pupu puddle on the floor. The non absorbent paper towels couldn't pick it up and the weak strawberry air fresheners infused the fecil smell with strawberry fields it was woeful.
