The prices are decent for brand name items…read more We visited the story yesterday - myself, my daughter, and her friend that accompanied us on a short vacation to the Destin/Ft. Walton Beach area. My experience yesterday was something out of the ordinary. I have never experienced anything like it in South Florida when I've shopped at TJ Maxx. I won't put details here but I can tell you that it was very disappointing. I definitely took the opportunity to write about it in the survey that they sent me via email with my receipt. The experience upset me so much that I contemplated making my daughter and her friend return the purchases that we made yesterday but I opted not to do so. The girls were oblivious to the experience, two giddy teenage girls that were just happy to be out shopping for the day while on vacation. I picked out a few items, but the purpose of our trip was for them to shop and while I was trailing and waiting on them. While waiting, I had time to observe what was happening while we were in the store and it was not a comfortable experience.

I used the gift card once and purchased $4.01 worth of items (before price change from $1) and there was a $5.99 balance left on card. I stuck the card in my wallet and forgot about it, and then stumbled across it one day! I was really excited (silly, I know). So I went and tried to use the balance, and they had updated the register system and it would not recognize the card. I tried 3 different store. There is no expiration on the card. So I called customer service, was given a "Ticket number" for my case, and was told it would be reviewed and a new card with the balance would be mailed. It never happened. Soooo, my review is to never buy Gift Cards from Dollar Tree. I Still like the store.
