I use Ollies to shop dog toys and rugs and some other specialty items when they have them in if…read moreit's something I really really want like a really cheap blender or steamer. You really gotta go the day the advertise the price because I have gone many times and they tell me that either didn't get the item or they only had six and they left in the morning so that's the downfall of Ollies. The good thing about Ollies is that you can usually get snacks half price then you can at the store that goes for nuts and specialty items too which is really great if you need that sort of stuff I couldn't cut your grocery bill in half. I found once in a blue moon a pair of shoes that fit they have a very small area of clothing I have found a really nice piece or two over the years by far not everything as fantastic. The Store itself has a funky odor, most all of them do. They have toys that are not normally this season's but you can find some interesting toys. The hygiene product are the best prices: soaps, hairbrush, the hair care items they seem to be really reasonable, priced, as the deodorant, toothpaste, Band-Aids, that sort of thing. Some of the big items we have bought in the past were some flooring, some rugs (the rugs seem very cheap and didn't last that long at all,-so that was cheap but didn't last long). Don't think it's really worth getting the rugs there unless you can get them on sale the prices are not bad but when you get them on sale, it's even better. (Since they didn't hold up to cleaning .) I have gotten a few small appliances there that have been really good. I've had some really good employees and I'd have some employees that help you one of them was the manager at the Ollies in Sevierville store near the holidays. The male manager at Morristown was not very nice. The manager and Sevierville one day even took me in the back room to help me find a sleeping bag that they had on sale and we found all the sleeping bags in the back that had not been put out, but we could not find a large man sleeping bag they had advertised so that was sad as I drove all the way there to buy that particular item so Ollies is a hit or miss store. I can always find something . Coffee is a good buy sometimes , trash bag ,sometimes sometimes they'll have saran wrap and baggies and freezer bags sometimes not so Ollie is a hit and miss store. What they advertise is not necessary of what they have in stock different stores in different areas and different states have different items. My ad was showing a recliner and I was so excited to go see this recliner and I found out that my phone it changed my setting to a store in Massachusetts not Tennessee so they didn't have any recliners. They do have a bathroom most all of them. I visited in Tennessee or some family member have they are not that clean bathrooms, but they did function .which is all we can ask for is functioning. Bathroom doesn't have to be solid gold. Just ask to function and be clean so I'm gonna give Ollie's bargain outlet a four star store rating They have a ways to go to get to a five star but then again you are shopping at an outlet they could do better, but it would take some extra effort and they're not going to ever put that extra effort in cause it's an outlet store and it is ok stuff cheap, Good stuff cheap they'd have to have good stuff. If the store gets good stuff it's only ever a few items.

They are a discounted chain (regional chain I believe), and they are all so fun to shop in! Unlike Bargain Hunt which may sell well used or cosmetically damaged goods, Ollie's do not. I have bought several refurbished vacuums and steam cleaners from them years ago and they all still work perfectly. Oh wait I take back the damaged goods part regarding their paints. They sell paints that were mixed and purchaser ended up returning so lids may be bent or have paint splatter. No biggie. They have a TON of random stuff. I think their strengths are in their books selections, definitely TOYS make the list, and lastly their flooring. They always have in stock laminate flooring for much cheaper than the home improvement superstores. They have a warehouse feel to them so don't expect amazing service from all staff, and don't expect fancy restrooms and everything being neatly organized. If you haven't been, GO!

If you aren't familiar with Family Dollar, it's basically Dollar General. Good prices with some brand names as well as some off brand options. A little bit of everything from food to toiletries to medicine for common cold/flu and some seasonal items. If you need a place to run in and grab a couple things this would be a good option.

I love this store but I've literally had to leave my cart full of things a couple of times now…read morebecause of people bringing their big dogs into the store. From what I've heard this is a service dog only store, but these are not service dogs I'm seeing. It's hard enough for my mom and I being afraid of dogs, but we have always felt safe to go into a store or restaurant and relax. Not anymore! No one enforces rules anymore and it's affecting the lives of people who have a true fear of animals. A big pit bull headed towards my mom while she was shopping and she was terrified. The family didn't even try to keep him away from her. It's just not fair.

He wanted tarps, and picked up a few items, I was in search of books, they have a huge collection. We got lost in the book area and hubby and I had lots of fun showing each other what we found! Way fun!!! I found hubby's favorite gummy bears. SCORED The check out was smooth, and the cashier was really sweet, nice folks working. The place was ravished in areas, very busy. It was my first time to Ollies and I was super excited. Started to fill my cart up, feeling the Christmas shopping bug and holiday spirit. Then I get to the rug section to look at a few rugs. A lady a few feet away from me kindly asked the young employee if he could help her look at a rug because it was under a pile. He looked at her like she asked him to dig to China on his day off, then he marched over and said, which one? I'll jut let you imagine his tone of voice. She showed him the rug and this is when I couldn't look away. He said, and I will quote almost exactly, " That is an ugly rug. You want that one, you actually like it? She said, "Well, I like the rug. He said, Whatever you want, but that's an extremely ugly rug. I couldn't help myself, so I had to ask if they knew each other. She said no. Shocked, I said, "If you were my son, I would give you a piece of my mind, you should never speak to a customer that way. A few men that were walking near me popped up and agreed with me. What a bitter miserable human being to want to speak to another person that way. He just smirked at us. I had to walk away because it was too crazy to confront any further. I said my piece. I was told there were no managers to speak with, so I am here. It's a shame, because I believe in giving businesses a chance to resolve issues on their own before going to the internet, but they don't care. I was super nice on the phone and told them I just need to make Ollies aware of the situation so that they could speak with the employee about his behavior or maybe he need to go home and sleep his anger off. Someone needs to have an adult conversation with that kid. Either that or he is trying to get fired or in a confrontation. I was born and raised in East Tennessee. People don't treat each other that way around here. That is what makes Knoxville so special. If you have never been to an Ollies, its kind of like a oversize Grocery Outlet. Some of their…read moreprices are pretty decent, but a lot of items are very overpriced. You will find items that you won't see at other stores. There was about 12 people in line and the girl requested backup. The line wasn't moving at all, so I dont know what the deal was. Then after about 8 minutes she called for someone to come to a price check... more waiting... about 10 minutes or so still wasn't moving. Someone else finally came to open another register, no move with a purpose.
