When I realized I didn't have it, I retraced my steps with no luck. The awesome lady at the front, Kathy, offered to help. She flagged down the manager, Conrad who went above and beyond to help me. While a ran out to my truck to make sure I hadn't left it there, he went around the entire store with his personal cell phone calling me trying to help me find it, which he did! He even came outside to flag me down as he saw I was visibly upset. Both Kathy and Conrad could not have been kinder or more helpful. The store was organize, clean, and well kept. Its always nice to shop in a store like that. But when you have employees like Kathy and Conrad, it takes it to the next level. I will most definitely be back to this specific store with friends! I am so grateful to him.

Found one pair of shorts worth buying, rest of stock was picked over junk. Waiting in another line, I noticed that that cashier was starting up a new cashier-station, so I asked to confirm before I switched lines. "I'm going to help the woman standing in the other line," she said. I immediately set my basket down and left the store. Later, I tried to open the online comment form but it was blank, so I called Dollar Tree's customer-service number. There was no option for store feedback/complaints, and as I did not wish to place an order, the call ended because I did not indicate that I wanted to place an order. It is prudent to avoid retail companies in which non-supervisory employees can get away with treating customers so badly with no accountability available to annoyed customers. Better to shop at Walmart and Target.

Once the mistake was discovered, I immediately contacted the store, explained the situation, and asked to recover the item. This is an exceptionally rare suit with historical significance. The Country Music Hall of Fame has expressed interest in preserving it. My intent was never resale or profit -- only preservation. One of the owners initially agreed to sell the suit back to me for $1,000, which I was ready to pay. That agreement was later canceled after others affiliated with the store became involved. The price was raised to $4,000. After they learned I was trying to raise funds to recover the suit, the price was increased again -- this time to $20,000. Despite acknowledging the donation was a mistake, the situation was treated strictly as a revenue opportunity. There was no compassion, no effort to correct the error -- only escalating prices. If you donate or shop here, understand this is not a charitable organization in practice. Items are resold for maximum profit, including through affiliated resellers who split proceeds with the store. I'm sharing this so the public can make informed decisions about where they donate and who they support.

I was making hot & sour soup and needed to buy a couple of ingredients. I had seen that some recipes call for dried daylilies. After the owner described what I would need to do, I decided that ingredient wasn't for me. She laughed and agreed. Right then I knew this was a store I would be returning to often. Besides groceries and produce, there was a nice assortment of gifts, jewelry, chopsticks, etc. The store is very clean. Free on-site parking and it is easy in and out.
