I stopped in here to get some bath products and their selection was good and plentiful....I guess with any dollar store, it all depends on when you visit and if the truck had just delivered the day before...that is usually the best bet for selection. I usually ask the staff what day of the week do they get deliveries and most of the time, they tell me (usually twice a week)...sometimes....they just don't know... Stopped in on a Sunday morning two weeks before Easter (first time here) and there was merchandise EVERYWHERE. Literally, it was as if a shipment arrived, boxes were opened and items were just dropped on the floor. It was around 11am, so either a wild party took place the night before or early that morning, but people were actually stepping on things while walking down the aisles. There was only 1 cashier. She was extremely slow. She asked if I needed my glassware wrapped up. I had at least 20 pieces. I had to help her wrap them. The other employee was slowly walking around and I suppose she was cleaning . This place was the messiest store I have ever been to. Ever. They did have what I needed. Thankful for that. read more

People like to make fun of me for my love of dollar stores, but they just don't know any better. The Dollar Tree is a place of wonder and excitement, where untold treasures await! Three-pack of microfiber wash cloths? Check. Dinner plates and decorative wicker baskets? Yep, got those too. Hair ties, shower caps, and claw clips? Yes, yes, and yes. I'm an especially big fan of their range of food -- they sell the most delicious, crispity-crunchity sugar-free cookies ever. I've never seen them anywhere else, so I buy bags of them five at a time. Makes me feel like a snack-food kingpin. ...I can sense your fear and confusion. You seem to have taken a few steps away from me and towards the exit. That's perfectly fine. Just means more cheap snacklets for me. The staff here is usually friendly and helpful. Depending on the day, it can get a little hectic and disorganized though. I always find something unexpectedly awesome when I take the time to look -- if you randomly need an extra martini glass or something, this is a great place to go. Wow, this Dollar Tree totally came through for us! A few of us went shopping here this weekend to get ready for the annual Pride Parade - YES we will be celebrating queer diversity decked out in tacky wonderfulness thanks to the Dollar Tree! We spent $75 in here on 75 various items including bamboo sticks, swimming pool noodles (to make banners), streamers, bubbles, rainbow leis (x25), grass skirts & bras (for the boys), rainbow hanging decorations & wind spinners, noise makers, pom poms, little tote bags (to hold while passing out candy and condoms), and hula hoops. I was blown away by all the stuff they had in here. The only idea we had coming in was an orange theme, but browsing was inspirational and we got most of what we needed here (we got the candy from BJ's and a few things from Home Depot). Amazing. I can't really say if they are queer-friendly, but I'm adding this to my Queer Boston list. Definitely a good place to come if you're throwing any kind of party. read more

I know it is a dollar store, so I really should not set my expectations too high - but this place is sort of crazy. It is a GREAT place to pick up party favors, cheap one-and-done items for large holiday cooking events, platters you intend to leave at an event, and misc items of that nature. This is how I discovered the Dollar Tree in Boulder, CO - tail gate item central! Unfortunately, this location is always a mess, I mean stuff is everywhere! The lines are long and all the staff is up front so good luck getting a question answered. The pure chaos is like that of someone trying to herd cats. I will go back, because they have the disposable items I need, but each time I go I need to psych myself up for it - like I am going into battle. Side note: We got some Good & Plenty's there and they were freshest he had had in a while - a very pleasant surprise. As mentioned, everything here really does cost a dollar! Not like those other dollar stores that claim to be a dollar store and the only things that are a dollar there costs 79 cents everywhere else. Stuff I've bought for a dollar include: -pre-cut aluminum foil (like they use in restaurants) -yellow rubber gloves -good sponges for washing dishes -glowsticks Yes, one of those things are not like the others. If I need crafting supplies I go here first. They also have decent plastic-ware and drinking glasses. If you enjoy decorating for different holidays, they always seem to have an abundance of stuff themed around whatever holiday is closest. Where this store really shines is they have an awesome selection of gift wrap, including all the supplies you need to make your own gift baskets dirt cheap. I use this stuff for charity fundraisers (creative begging), but you could also use the stuff sold here to make your gifts look more expensive than than they are. But also I realized that there's products that's near to expiration date. This the Dollar Tree superstore on route 60 in Revere near Uncle Petes and the Showcase Cinema. This is a fact: Everything in this huge place is ONE dollar. "So what, it must be all crap and only worth a nickle if they sell it for a dollar." Man are you jaded or what? This is Nirvana for bargain hunters and all humans too for that matter. Here's a partial list: Ipod cases, cell phone accessories, party supplies, candy out the ass and I mean the good stuff like jelly bellies toffefays and snickers as well as movie theatre boxes of candy. (God i love candy) Pasta, soda, drinks, nuts (seriously, you can make dinner tonight for a crowd for a few bucks) housewares, pots, pans, cards, car stuff, ok I'm getting bored but you see what I mean. Melissa dragged me in here and I planned on sitting in a corner and playing Texas Holdem on my cell phone until she was done until I saw how big it was and all the candy and watches, toys, food, candy, and I always love people watching in Revere especially. But it was like a playground for me. I kept telling strangers, "look what I found." " I never knew I needed a pack of bungee cords." but hey it was a buck. In 2001 I bought a 6 ft tall standee of the Black Power Ranger for less than $6 dollars and for that this place gets 5 stars.

Big store, good selection. There are never enough cashiers. Always have to wait in line for a long time. There cashiers do not have a sense of urgency on top of the fact that there are really long lines all the time. read more

I have been to the Dollar Tree's in Quincy,Brighton and the new one in Roslindale and I must say, THIS Dollar Tree is stocked very well compared to the others. I think this store has most of whats on the website also (not quite sure). No freezer in this one but everything in the store makes up for that. Dollar Tree is a teacher's dream. I am in here about once a month to restock my classroom store, and my students love the stuff I find here - gumball machines, noise putty, footballs, purses, animals that multiply in size when put in water, decorative pencils, wi accessories, reading lights, stickers...the list goes on and on, and it's all $1!! They also have a huge supply of plastic baskets and caddies, which are great for the classroom as well. The lines here are always insanely long, but listening to the staff's loud and colorful banter with the customers and with one another is entertaining and helps to pass the time. read more

The dollar store is what it is-- theres some awesome staples here for only $1 and then there's some random things they come by that you wouldn't expect-- like one time they had the brand of soy milk that we normally buy there.
