This store is next to Bulk Barn, near the standalone A&W. Last month, after having picked up dinner, I decided to check out this Dollarama at long last. There was plenty of parking in front of the store. I parked my car and entered. There were Christmas items for sale in August. I'm no longer shocked. I simply ignore them. When I'm still wearing shorts and a t-shirt, I am not in holly, jolly Christmas shopping mode. I live in the candy section. I spent perhaps more time than I should have in this aisle. I was pleased to see some sugar-free items. In the past, you rarely saw any. It's a good step. Instead, I saw the Hershey's dessert bars and got one of each flavour. Too bad they don't come in sugar-free versions. The sacrifices that I make... lol I love the snacks here. From Harvest Snaps, to lots of beef jerky, this store caters to my snacking needs. The gardening section is great. You can get everything from potting soil to flower pots. Excellent! I went to pay for my chocolate bars. I got a nice man at the checkout. I paid with a debit card. I tapped. Easy peasy. I thanked him, grabbed my chocolate bars, and headed to my car. I'm so glad that I finally visited this Dollarama. I dig it. Unfortunately I lost the FTR opportunity in 2022. The largest vendors are: Walmart Supercentre, Canadian Tire, Winners, Staples, Sport Chek, Marks, and Ren's Pets. Some of the food vendors are Tim Hortons, McDonald's, A&W, Boston Pizza, Plates & Bowls, LAON Korean Restaurant, Hong Cha, Bulk Barn, and Arena Grill & Bar. I've been coming here to shop for well over a decade. I used to frequent Walmart and Canadian Tire more back then. My shopping habits changed over the years. These days, I have a main set of stores and eateries that I love: - Winners - Staples - Plates and Bowls I love that Winners and Staples are next to each other. I tend to hit both of them. I often find something cool at Winners, be it snacks or a pair of sneakers. At Staples, I still have a love for stationery and office supplies. I especially love the discount section at the back of the store by the office chairs. Plates and Bowls offers a hybrid of Indian and Middle Eastern dishes. The chicken shawarma is incredible. I am highly addicted to the butter chicken bowl. It's the perfect, comforting combination of rice, sauce, and morsels of chicken that make me come back for more. The apple slaw salad is incredible! I have probably visited A&W the most. Before Markham got an A&W, I'd get my root beer and burger fix at this eatery. There's a drive-thru, too. I have also dined at Thai Villa. Back then, it offered cheap meal specials. I don't know if they still do. The family who owns it was friendly and the food was decent when I was last there. For food and drinks, you have Boston Pizza, Tim Horton's with a drive-thru (yep, there are two drive-thru places here), Subway, and Sgt. Pepper's Pub. The pub always intrigues me, as it's next to Plates and Bowls. There's a nice selection of stores to shop till you drop. Dollarama. Bulk Barn. Rogers. SportChek. Reitmans. Tip: There's a ton of parking at this plaza…read more Last Saturday, I visited Brooklin Town Centre after a late lunch. It had a Dollarama that I wanted to visit. I then ended up at Tim Hortons, The Beer Store, and Scotiabank. I am not great at knowing the exact name of any plaza or shopping area. I am there for specific stores. As long as I get there in one piece, I'm happy. This plaza looks fairly new. I'd say that it's less than a decade old. The plaza's sign is interesting. It has Brooklin Towne Centre -- Towne with an e. When you look at Google Maps, the e is dropped. My guess is that the property owner registered the name with the e to conjure up cozy historical vibes. Brooklin has a charming downtown area that I frequented a while back when it had a Copper Branch. My guess is that over time, the e got dropped from Town. It is an archaic spelling of the word that no one uses regularly. This plaza's got a FreshCo, BarBURRITO, Great Clips, A&W, and Shoppers Drug Mart that piqued my interest. I didn't need to visit any of them on Saturday. It was nice to know that they exist and I'll visit them eventually. I liked all the businesses that I had visited. They had everything that I needed. What stands out this that this plaza has three drive-thrus. It is the first time that I've witnessed it. Most plazas that I visit have a maximum of two. The three drive-thrus here are at: - Scotiabank - A&W - Tim Hortons What's cool is that they are all close to one another. Scotiabank and A&W has entrances next to each other. You do need to pay attention to which entrance you want. A&W and Timmy's have parallel drive-thru lanes, but they run in opposite directions. I looked at photos that a Yelper had uploaded for this business listing. It's odd that this person grabbed them off Google, as I can see the watermarks on most of them and they are fuzzy. Weird. However, I'm not going to knock this person for not taking photos. On the contrary, this person did a screen grab of Shoeless Joe's. I didn't see it when I was here. It looks like Piper Arms has taken over from where Shoeless Joe's used to be. I like this plaza a lot. There's April's Nail and Spa that seems to have decent ratings. Maybe when I feel like getting a manicure, I'll be here. I look forward to returning. I like how spacious it is. Folks were friendly at every business that I had human interaction with. (334)

Little items are not to be found though so got to go to another Best Shop. Prices aren't cheap but the convenience factor is there. There seems to be a lot of elements on sale. Staff were friendly and helpful but I didn't need anything that day. Store was well arranged and clean. They even sell batteries! There is an entrance inside the mall and outside the mall. Parking is a little bit hard to find so park further and walk over.

I don't frequent it as much as I should. I first came here with a friend roughly two decades ago to eat at All Star Wings. It's still alive and kicking. I will always have a soft spot for this eatery and ordering way too many wing flavours. We often boxed everything we couldn't finish up. There have been many Hong Kong-style eateries next to this wing place that have come and gone over the years. Sadly, one of these eateries had silver needle noodles that you don't see often on the menu. They were so good! I don't frequent the T&T Supermarket these days. It was a madhouse the few times that I did. It's the perfect storm of crazy shoppers who can't park for beans. The supermarket itself is decent. I live closer to the two T&T stores on Warden and Kennedy. This one is the third-closest one to my home. There is a Wellwise Home Health & Wellness store. It used to be under the Shoppers Drug Mart brand, but it got acquired by Verillium Health Care. It has served my family well over the years. I have got everything from washable bed pads to a wrist brace. Staff are helpful, especially when I didn't know much about these products! I like the Chatime-Bakecode store. I get my bubble tea and croissant fixes all under one roof. It's probably my favourite store at this plaza. I just noticed a Mr Sub. I will need to check it out someday. Same goes with the original Hana Don. I have been to the one at CF Fairview Mall. I need to drop by this one. Yesterday, I visited SportChek for the first time. I liked the merchandise. Customer service was excellent. There's a Tim Hortons here, too. It's got a drive-thru. It's another reason why this plaza gets busy. I like Cachet Centre, minus the craziness in front of T&T. Yesterday, I was at Starbucks, in line at the drive-thru. I looked at the plaza's sign that said Midland Square. I have been going to this Starbucks for eons. I didn't know the name of this plaza until now. Midland Square is on the northwest corner of Midland and McNicoll Avenues. Rona anchors this plaza. I frankly haven't been in this store in eons. I should revisit it, as the garden centre always looks amazing. The Starbucks that I frequent the most in this plaza in a part of a three-business building. Jeon Ju Hyang is a Korean eatery that's between Starbucks and Popeyes. My dad frequents the latter a lot more than I do. Further south from Rona is a medical centre and a bunch of eateries. It's a mix of high turnovers and businesses that have endured the test of time. Chako and Pizza Hut have been around for many years. I have yet to visit Chako. I frequent Pizza Hut often for my pizza cravings. There are a bunch of decent noodle joints in this plaza: - Magic Noodle - Ajisen Ramen - Dear Saigon - Nicoca Ramen - Jim Chai Kee Wonton Noodle I have yet to try Midori Ramen, which is a fairly new addition to this plaza. I have avoided going to Hey Noodles ever since staff forgot the noodles in my takeout order, which is funny when Noodles is in its name. There are a few sushi eateries and Gyubee Japanese Grill that I have been meaning to visit. One of these days, I'll be proud to say that I've been to all of them. Sadly, this plaza no longer has a bubble tea joint. You can get bubble tea at many of the noodle joints, or go across the street to Asia Mall that has a Chatime.
