As soon as you walk in you realize this isn't your average thrift store. The store is well laid out, organized and has that fantastic smell of used gear (but in a good way); it all brings back good memories of the past. They have a good assortment of records (yes vinyl is making a comeback). And they are dirt cheap; mostly costing less than a buck! I picked up two records and it cost me a toonie. How great is that!! The store shelves are organized in a great way, great friendly and inviting owners, wonderful jazz music was playing in the background, housewares, books, clothing, toys, electronics and even furniture were available to snap up. Hanging plants of all kinds in fantastic shape for $14.99 and up. Potting plants, trees of all sizes, with a great selection. I ended up getting 4 hanging plants for under $60.00. One of the great options for the older people of the community is the ability to have your groceries delivered to your house. You phone in your order and then at a time that you are available, a delivery boy will bring everything you need to your home. Also a great way to save money on groceries is Customer Appreciation Day (I know it's at most grocery stores now) where you save 15% on your groceries! This happens on the first Tuesday of every month, so make sure you get in to grab some groceries. There will be a ton of people in the store, but all of the tills will probably be putting people through, so it shouldn't take too long. My appointment was booked for 12:30 p.m. I arrived before my scheduled time and asked how long the service would take. I was told approximately 1.5 hours. The guy named Doug who booked me in was fully aware that I had to be at work by 3:00 p.m. and assured me that the vehicle should be ready by 2:30 p.m. at the latest. Based on that information, I decided to keep the appointment. As 3:00 p.m. approached, I checked in again to ask about the status of my vehicle. Another employee informed me that there was still a car on the hoist ahead of mine and that they would let me know when it was my car's turn. Around 3:20 p.m., I noticed my vehicle was still sitting untouched in the corner of the service bay. After waiting nearly three hours without any work being started on my vehicle, I decided to take my car back and leave because I was already late for work. I understand that delays can happen, but what frustrated me most was the lack of communication and the fact that I was given unrealistic expectations about the wait time. Had I been told there would be a significant delay, I could have made other arrangements. Unfortunately, this experience wasted a large part of my day, and I would not choose Canadian Tire Auto Service again.

We were able to determine when we got home that the work done at Canadian tire was at fault for the repair failing over and over. We were obviously not able to take advantage of their warranty at that point, being back in the US. I spoke with management, was even told we would be getting refunded for the repair at a certain point. This has not happened and I'm tired of calling and talking about it.
