What an amazing find for my NYE shimmer gown!! These are ridiculously cute!! And the last pair!!!

What an adorable little shop! I love all the vintage style dresses from rockabilly to classy fringe dresses. And let's talk about the cute cute shoes!! They have vintage-style wraps, jewelry, purses, parasols, tulle petticoats...and so much more! I only stopped in to see if by chance they had a nicer necklace that I originally brought with me from home. Spending NYE in NOLA was a little last minute. I walked out with not only a new necklace, but i ended up with matching earrings, bracelet, these adorable shoes and one of the girls suggested a head piece and I just got caught up in everything so shiny! I had to have it all!! LOL!! Great customer service and overall I had fun picking out my new shoes. If I have time I want to go back and try on some dresses and get a matching parasol!!

Dolls& Dames will take you back to the look and feel of the 1050's, but at 2050 ( yep, I wrote 2050) prices. First off, let me say I absolutely adore the store. They have two locations in the United States. One in Seattle Washington, and the other in New Orleans Louisiana. The store in New Orleans is slightly bigger, but they both carry pretty identical inventory. I've been in the store twice, and both times left with exactly the same feeling. The customer service is absolutely deplorable. I do not mind a quality snooty store, but I do mind a snooty store that overcharges just because of the location, and not because of the quality of merchandise they carry. I had my eyes on a pair of shoes, and went to take a picture, unlike many stores in the area apparently, pictures are not permitted. I get it. I really do. However, the way I was told was rather rude, and frankly unprofessional for sales environment. Regardless, I was interested enough in the pair of shoes that I still wanted to ask questions. At one point, apparently the shoes were custom ordered. They no longer are and haven't been for quite some time. The sales girl said something about the heels no longer being made and the inventory they had is what they had. She also said that they had more coming in. Totally confusing. The shoes are reasonably price for boutique items that allegedly are all handmade in Spain. Having said that, they are also more than what the average woman would probably feel comfortable spending on a pair of shoes that would not be worn on a regular basis. The shoes are approximately $250 plus. Again, unless you dress like you are in the 1950s on a daily basis, the price tag is rather high. I took a quick look around the store and they definitely have some very unique and interesting items. The four stars are for the items that they carry, and not for the service and treatment of customers. The sales people just made us feel rather uncomfortable, and I have a policy of not spending money in a place that does not make me happy. If you don't love it in the store, and you don't love the experience, you aren't going to love it anywhere else.

If I was to open a shop & create my dream closet, it couldn't be more perfect than this boutique. Hands down. Every shoe. Every hat. Every parasol. All the jewelry and accessories annnnd ALLLLL. THE. DRESSES!!! I had the most exceptional service from Erin, a fiercely fabulous redhead slung up in a swanky retro dress and hair of her own, with zero pressure. I'm a professional jazz vocalist specializing in Sinatra era swing. So, needless to say, I LIVED FOR THIS PLACE!!! If you're looking for ultra glam retro clothes in New Orleans or the gulf coast region of the United States, you have found your spot!!! A fully curated vintage/swing era diva Mecca!!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!

Same dress from the real maker for 73.76 US dollars.

I wish negative stars was an option. They do not have the right to removing tags and putting theirs on the dresses. Below is a screenshot from one of the companies that I reached out to. Do not do business here!!

My absolute favorite clothing/accessory store in Seattle http://www.yelp.com/biz/diva-dollz-seattle#hrid:y7274nP98IktmyF1LUhg3w has now opened in New Orleans! I'm rather beside myself with excitement over this so you'll have to let me have a moment... *fans self* Recovered. After all, I have to get back to my FTR! Oh, the shoes. Oh, the super cute, flattering dresses. Oh, the lovely lingerie. Oh, the lush, baroque decor that makes you feel like you're shopping in Paris. Oh oh oh oh!!!! But there's more. Walk in clueless or even thinking you have an ounce of fashion know-how and these ladies will set you straight (in an ultra kind way). They will make you look hotter than you could have ever imagined. I witnessed them turning one Miss Emily A in a divalicious pin-up girl from H to T. She picked the dress. They did everything else: shoes, hair, a touch of blush to the cheeks. Seriously, you'd think you were at some ultra high end shop that would be kicking Pretty Woman out the door, but it's not the case. Figure on price points ranging around 120-150 bucks for a really pretty dress (they have casual to dressy). Accessories are at very affordable price points (I purchased gorgeous red gloves and a studded belt for a total of 60 bucks). Shoes are of good quality and will run you around 150 (note: they have the kind of heels that are so comfy you'd never know you were wearing heels). They will alter any dress to flatter your figure, ladies. That's kinda priceless, especially in a town where it's not the easiest thing in the world to find a good tailor. Just sayin'. I'll be updating this review on the regular. Look out for the attached lingerie shop that is going to open soon. I know I will be perusing it on the regular.

    Dress on Amazon for 26.99

BUYER BE WARNED THIS STORE HAS EXTREME MARKUPS. If I could post negative stars, I would. I purchased what I thought was a very cute, and very unique. The dress was not cheap at $148, but it seemed worth it at the time. Turns out, I was incorrect, as the EXACT same dress that I bought I saw a few days later on Amazon for $26.99. That is OVER a 500% mark up. I have never been so appalled. Stay away at all costs. The dresses are cute, but they are not worth the prices they are listed at.

This is an amazing boutique where you can get beautiful Swarovski crystal jewelry, pin up style dresses and under garments, amazing custom designed shoes and personal one on one service with a smile! The ladies were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable, listening to what you did and didn't like about a garment and suggesting something that for your wants. If they don't have your size you can custom order to be made especially for you! A bit on the high end of price but you get the beautiful quality you pay for! I purchased some stunning earrings, vintage flare necklace and beautiful hand made shoes! So in love, can not wait to visit again but in the meantime will enjoy their online shopping!

The vintage style is so appealing, and they do a great job presenting it in this quaint French Quarter shop.

The tracking never moved, and when I contacted the company they couldn't even confirm whether the package was actually shipped or ever picked up by the carrier. Instead of taking responsibility, they immediately blamed the post office and said the package was lost. However, the post office advised me to verify if the seller had physically mailed the item at all -- something the company was unable to prove. It seems like a shipping label may have been created without the item ever being handed over. No clear answers, no proof of shipment, and no real effort to resolve the issue. However, none of that matters if the selection of product doesn't pan out but here it does: they have a great selection of recent sneaker releases and clothing, too. I bought a pair of camo mesh shorts by their own Politics label which are well-made and hype. Their location in the French Quarter is also superb. I highly recommend checking them out.

They had a great assortment from Good American and Madewell, with a good range of sizes and styles to choose from. So yay because I needed a pair of jeans because the weather was much cooler than I'd packed for. The dress section, however, felt a bit repetitive. Lots of the same styles, so not a ton of variety there. One thing that really stood out was the shoe section, especially if you're a size 10. There was a very large selection, which isn't always easy to find. We got pulled in by the window set ups and sleek looking interior...and the promise of cool athletic gear was a bonus. The store is a boutique style spot with a focus on athletic goods from shoes, shirts, bottoms, hats and accessories. They have several name brands, but also feature a few smaller brands specific to the style of clothing. Pricing ranged. As someone who not only spends a considerable amount of money at local businesses but also takes pride in supporting establishments within our community, I walked into this place expecting even the most basic level of respect. What I received was the complete opposite. Upon entering the establishment, I approached the owner directly and greeted him, trying to initiate a respectful, face-to-face interaction. To my surprise, and honestly my disbelief, he never looked up, never responded, and never acknowledged me at all -- as if I wasn't even standing there. There was no excuse, no distraction, no crowd, no reason not to extend a simple courtesy like eye contact or a greeting. This wasn't just bad customer service -- it was flat-out disrespect. What made the situation even more unsettling is that his own staff, who were standing nearby, were the only ones who showed any kind of professionalism. One of them looked over and said, "Good evening." That moment spoke volumes. If your team has to pick up the slack for your lack of basic human decency, something is seriously wrong with how your business is being run. I've come here before and spent real money -- not just once, but many times -- because I believed in putting my dollars into businesses that represent our city, our people, and our culture. But it's hard to continue supporting a place when the owner himself can't even show an ounce of gratitude or humility to the very customers who keep his doors open. Being a community-based business means something. It means showing love back to the people who show love to you. It means engaging, being present, and understanding that your energy and attitude affect every single person who walks through your doors. When you show your true colors -- especially to someone who's supported you without asking for anything in return -- people take notice. To anyone considering doing business here, I strongly advise you to think twice. It's one thing to have an off day, but it's another to make someone feel unseen, unappreciated, and unwelcome -- especially when they come with respect. I won't be back, and I won't recommend this place to anyone in my network until the ownership learns what true customer service -- and community care -- really looks like.
