Yesterday was my 1st time so I called in advance informing that my nail beds are really thin so asked if they could pair me with a tech who can be gentle and not file down too much. The man said "no worries, we'll take care of you." I was unfortunately matched with Lisa. She was so rough even after explaining about my nail beds. She also used her nails to aggressively push my cuticle lining back which was so painful. She was very irritated every time I said "ouch" and kept making comments under her breath. Every time I tried asking a question about the shape, she would talk over me saying "wait for finish, wait for finish". I honestly really thought of asking her to completely stop. I also requested natural looking, short and not thick, and this is what I ended up with! Chiclets. A friend who goes here recommended that I call and ask for Lily to explain the issue. I called in the morning and left my number for a callback, but no one called me back. Now I have to go elsewhere to fix my nails and spend more money. Michelle who did my pedicure was great. She listened to me and even corrected the application on 2 toes when I pointed out some issues. Tipped her and was pleased. But even with Michelle being great, Lisa & the results I got, made it a horrible experience.

I am always sort of hesitant to buy Groupons for services like these because I feel like maybe you aren't getting the best possible treatment (whether it be a hair cut, lashes, wax...etc). I purchased the Groupon and called immediately as I had been waiting to get lashes for FOREVER!!! The woman was super nice when I made the appointment and asked me to come in a few minutes early to fill out some paperwork. I showed up and the place is like a salon with a few private rooms for lash extensions. I filled out the paperwork and was quickly escorted to a back room by a eyelash tech. She never asked me what kind of lashes I wanted, or how long I wanted them or anything -- I know now those should have been asked. I was totally new at this, so I didn't know what to expect (shame on me for not researching!). I laid down on a waxing bed for almost two hours, stiff paper under my eyes, closed with tweezers poking around (kind of nerve wracking!). After about the hour and a half mark, I got incredibly uncomfortable. I think that goes for anyplace you go....two hours is a long time to lay still on a table. Anylashes, she did ok....pricked me only a few times (which is amazing, do you see how small those tweezers are!??). When it was done, my lashes looked good, but they didn't look real. They totally looked fake - really long and too many lashes. She gave me some tips to keep them up, which would have been nice if the lashes held up like she said they would. My lashes constantly got tangled, pricked my eyes, sometimes when I closed my eyes, they would tangle and I would have to get in front of a mirror to untangle. I called about a week after dealing with this to see if this was normal, they said no and to come and they would fix. The woman who fixed them was really nice and did a great job fixing them, however, they were still incredibly long and just to much! I really wanted these to work, but after my second fill and my eye lids now starting to swell from all the constant untangling and brushing, I went to another lash place and had them taken off. I never got any complements on my lashes either, if anything sometimes I got funny looks like "who is this girl kidding with those lashes!". I dunno what to tell you, there were lots of people getting lashes done the times I was there, but maybe they were Groupon-ers too?! After getting my lashes fixed twice, I just couldn't pony up the $65 (every 3 weeks) for a mediocre fill any longer....part of me thinks I might have had a better experience had I been asked what kind of lashes I wanted in the beginning....

Don't go here at all in general. Upon completion I could tell there was a lot of glue straggling as a lot of my upper lashes were glued to my bottom ones when I tried to open my eyes. I was worried that I had gone to one of those places that would make you blind from the glue application!!! The worst part of all however, are my lashes. My lashes are in all sorts of directions, some are curled up, some are pointing down, some are just curly. They are not in the natural lash growing path. She is a professional and pleasant young lady. I had just taken off my extensions so my natural lashes were looking rough but she was able to give me a lash perm that was beautiful and recommended a nice product for ongoing growth and conditioning. I made a follow up appointment with her so I look forward to working with her again. The spot is clean, staff are nice, it's a little pricey but the service was good.
