Dolphin Discovery Vallarta is inside the Water Park. You can buy the ticket online or at resorts. After doing some homework, buying the ticket on site was the best price. We did the Dolphin Encounter and they were really good at accommodating my disability to get into the pool, I also have to thank my partner who helped me into the pool together. They have lockers next to the dolphin discovery area for you to put your phone and anything that can not going into the pool. They take picture for you and before you leave the park you can check the picture and have one to be printed. They will give you instructions on how to download other pictures at home. Our package also come with zip lining but due to my disability I can not do that so we get free food instead. I definitely recommend this place for people who wants a dolphin experience of a life time. read more

I REALLY had to think hard about what score to give this tour...The boat trip to Majahuitas Beach was good and the snorkeling and beach hammocks after that were wonderful. The trip back was very rough - Mother Nature's fault, not theirs.. As for the Dolphin adventure (We booked the most expensive experience, the Dolphin Extreme) - It was the things dreams are made of!! We were able to swim with the dolphins, get towed above and below the water, dance with them and be propelled along the pool by them while you are on a boogie board. We got to hug them, kiss (and be kissed) by them. At the end the Dolphins put on a private show!! After all of that you get to meet the sea lions and hug and kiss them too plus another private show!! FOR ALL OF THE ABOVE - 10+ STARS!!! Now for the HORRIBLE part... You are not allowed to bring a camera anywhere near the dolphins. Why? So they can sell you their photos of course...Only, they don't sell them, they extort the photos from you!!! The prices for their photos is not only OUTRAGEOUS, it's damn near criminal!! ONE picture is $40 (US)!!!!! They take dozens of pictures and videos. If you want them all - No problem - Just cough up $179 (US) - NON NEGOTIABLE!!!! This is damn near 1/2 the price we paid for the whole adventure!! And to top it off, they use hard sell techniques to get you to buy... Then, just to add insult to injury, I purchased a towel for $15, Literally SECONDS after I got the receipt, I realized that I had grabbed the "Vallarta Adventures" towel and not the "Dolphin Adventures" towel. Guess what - No exchange, no refund. Wouldn't budge even when I asked for a manager. I told her I had just spent hundreds of dollars and she was going to argue with me over a $0 exchange and I was told I would have to buy the other towel if that is what I wanted - tough luck. After a magical experience, the ending left us exiting the park feeling abused, angry, and unhappy.... Everyone I talked to from our tour agreed that they were leaving with seriously negative feelings after a great day. Way to blow it Dolphin Adventures and Vallarta Adventures.... :( :( :( read more

The Dolphin Discovery was excellent for my 8 year old daughter. Hiram the dolphin trainer was excellent - 5 stars. The facility is unimpressive but still fun for kids. Unfortunately, many of the add-on activities were only open for short windows - like the zipline and the climbing wall. read more

Water park: Food in the water at the water park and they don't filter constantly. 48" to ride the slides without vest. Zip line in cool. Food line takes an hour, but food is decent. Picture prices are a joke. Don't pay the absurd quote-they'll take lower. They quote $1300 pesos for the family picture. Sea World doesn't charge that high. Absurd. read more

Dolphin Discovery is in the AquaVenture Park, just a few minutes by taxi from Vindanta! We booked the swim adventure online and got our photos included! This adventure was exceptional. The trainers worked to make sure everyone has a wonderful time! Our 15 year old with ASD enjoyed every minute. The trainers worked to find the perfect interactions for him, as well as each of us. We were here today. We are from USA, we are also globetrotter and use multiple taxi type of services. Today the security guard at this facility called the taxi company and they surrounded our PRIVATE vehicle, that we have been using since Saturday. There were 7 different taxis that blocked us, then continued to follow our private driver after he called the police, then also baby sat us after we had walked out of the venue. They also started following us from the bus stop because they wouldn't let us use our own private service. This is 2017. We don't carry over a certain amount and the area is big enough (meaning many tourist) to use visas!!! Wasted 3.5 hours of our day in a tourist area. read more

We actually enjoyed the experience, so much so we bought the very expensive photos on CD. Once we got back to the US and viewed the CD we realized we got the wrong pictures. We sent them an email about the mistake. They asked us to send proof of the credit card purchase, which I did and guess what, NO RESPONSE. We have emailed them 3 more times, no response. I was hoping this company would do the right thing and either find my pictures and send them to me or refund my $80.00. This review would have been a 4 star if the issue had been rectified. We were here in January and it was fantastic. It's about 20-25 by taxi from our resort in Puerto Vallarta. It was 210 pesos. The dolphin discovery is located inside the Aquaventuras Park. When you buy the dolphins it gains you entrance into the entire park. The dolphin trainers were amazing and made sure everyone had a great time. The photos are amazing but pricey. We got a CD of 118 photos of 4 of us for $100. We only talked them down $10. I had purchased this through groupon but I believe if you do the royal swim you always get lunch tickets. There were only 4 choices for lunch but they do the job when your hungry at the park. After the dolphins we went down a few of the water slides and there was absolutely no lines. They also have a zip line that has 3 platforms (so you essentially get to go 3 times). Again, this is all included in the price of the dolphin swim (I paid $100 per person on Groupon). Overall, amazing experience and would definitely go back!!! read more

My son was able to fulfill a years' long dream of swimming with dolphins at Aquaventuras Park in February. We are most thankful to all the staff who took our experience so far beyond expectation. I had let the office know in advance that my son is developmentally disabled and could require a bit of extra help, and that I would be there with him as well. When we arrived, they made extra sure he was comfortable and drew in additional staff to help him when it came to actually swimming with the dolphins. They were all so patient and caring, and the dolphins were too! It's almost as if these creatures that had been rescued from life-threatening circumstances knew of my son's struggles in his early life. And his excitement at being able to interact with these wonderful animals in turn made us all tearful by the end. It was truly an experience that will be treasured for a lifetime. Special mention and thanks go to dolphin trainer, Kevin, who made time and space enough for us to have extensive interaction; and to Yessi the photographer, who captured my son's emotions so well.
