The dolphin experience was fantastic. I can't remember the names of the trainers we worked with but they were very friendly and put on a great show with the dolphins and sea lions. I immediately was concerned about bacteria in the water so I told my daughters to keep their mouths closed the entire time. As for the water park, I wouldn't go on any of the slides. A friend of ours (who works construction), was walking up the steps and could see through some of the support beams of the slides. If I was this park, I would close them down immediately because they are just asking for someone to get hurt. read more

Our kids loved it. There were no lines to speak of for the water slides, so the kids loved going again and again and again. There is a play area in the middle for smaller kids that my younger one spent quite a bit of time in. We did the dolphin experience, in which we stood on the edge of a pool and got to "interact" with the dolphins. The price was reasonable, especially if you skip the package. The staff were for the most part friendly and helpful. The downsides: the place is really, really run down and in need of a major facelift. There is lot of rusty metal, the patio tables and chairs are really, really worn out. One of the slides seemed to be made of concrete covered in plastic and went insanely fast. We wouldn't let our kids go on it for fear they would hit their head on the sides, or worse. We had to hurry our lunch because we were being over run with bees (but in fairness, I'm not sure how they could control for that). I needed to buy new sandals for my son, the price ($500 MXD) felt exorbitant. The food was really, really bad. We paid for a package that came with lunch and even the adults had a choice of hot dog, nuggets or pizza on a paper plate with fries. I tend to think liability-fearing over the top safety precautions in the states have taken the fun out of some children's activities (hello LEGOLAND), but this was the other end of the spectrum. read more

The park was decent, kind of small but could access every slide quickly. Do not ride the toilet bowl slide because when you come out of the enclosed part you hit your back . You should go on the two slides at the top. And there are only 10 slides but the one that goes straight down was closed all day . They open and close different slides at different times. read more

As I read the reviews, I realized those with good reviews mainly did the dolphin/animal excursions. I was here 20 years ago when it was a newer park. NOT ANYMORE. I brought my nephew and daughter here for a day, and we left after 30 minutes. The lazy river was so dirty with yellow water and dead bugs that my 7-year-old and 12-year-old nephew went in for one exit and got out; they were grossed out, and I was worried about eye infections and such. We then went to the kid's area, which had "cleaner" water where you could see the bottom, but everything was run down around us. This place needs a lot of TLC. If you have ever been to any of the waterparks in the US (Knotts Berry Farm's Soak City or Las Vegas Lazy River), expect something other than that standard. In this place, the water was warm, not fresh, and my 7-year-old asked me if bacteria would grow in such warm water, with no chlorine and guests urinating in the water. All I can tell her is that they may have a different standard at this park. If I were you, I would say spend your money elsewhere! read more

Tourist, inexpensive water park. Lockers $5 because they ask for a deposit for the key. Upon return, the deposit is given back. We were in line to pay for admission when the tour staff was offering dolphin encounters with four meals (hot dogs, fries, drin k), zip line. They lie about the dolphin encounter they tell you , including you touching them for like 40 min. All it is is a priority row to seat, the front row. Any seat in the stadium is perfectly fine. It's was a few more pesos, supposed special. I agreed. They then bring you to another room, air conditioned, so you dont mind the wait, i was in line for over 20 min trying to pay for it until I left. Went back to the ticket booth & and purchased regular admission. This includes the dolphins & sea lion show. Do not go down slides without tube or instant regret, and your back will thank you. My 16 yr daughter & my self, also enjoyed the kid zone water slides with my 5 yr old. We ended up eating at the restaurant since the snack bar was long. We preferred an actual meal. The bubble & foam pool party was unexpected and a huge hit for the kids. If you're comparing the theme park with a USA park clearly, forgetting your in MX. Overall, our family enjoyed the day. If you are a tourist please read this before you enter. I am somewhat a local since we have owned property here since the 90s. This place is just awful on many levels. For one it's very rundown , and it looks like they haven't kept up with maintenance. My kids ages 8 and 12 were not allowed on the pirate boat because they are too big. My son age 2 is. But how the heck is he going to be in a water park on his own? There is nowhere to buy drinks other than a waiter since every single stand is closed. Save your money the beach is the best option in puerto Vallarta. It's super cheap to get in too. I think we paid $57 for 4 of us. We ordered a beer and a soda and we are literally about to walk about. Been here a whole 45 minutes. For context we are actually super patient easy going people. And check this out. There's this adult lady on the boat RIGHT NOW. If they find out you're a tourist they treat you like crqp. BEWARE read more

We got a deal through our taxi cab driver for a reduced entry fee rate. It was a bit awkward, as it seems like the deal was being done under the table, but we got a pretty good discount from published rates. I think the disconnect here was that the park was hoping we end up signing up for their dolphin activities, but we were clear that we only wanted partake on the water and slide activities. We were told to pay by cash versus card, again it seemed odd. The park is very run down and not very well maintained. Slides are definitely showing their age. Rust everywhere, the walking paths have been repainted numerous times and you can see a lot of the paint peeling off. I will say that the tubes you use for some of the slides were pretty decent relative to the state of the park. Water was very warm in all of the slides, pools, etc., but this is a given due to the climate. I will call out that the lazy river was pretty bad, very green and you can see the algae growing everywhere (see pictures I have posted). A ton of people still used it, but not us. Food was so so. Definitely overpriced relative to what you can get outside, but not so much compared to other water parks that we have been to. You order your food at one of their establishments and the waiter brings it out to you. This was a plus since we didn't want to be walking back and forth in the hot sun. An added service here would be is if the waiter actually walked around and checked on people of they wanted food/service. There is a challenge course on the left hand side of the park (upon entering) that my kid tried out. Definitely very challenging and a change of pace from the water activities. Even though the rules said no flip flops, but shoes were mandatory, many kids got on the course with just flip flops. At first we were told the course was extra, but then the guy manning the course allowed us to get on anyways. I tipped him 50 MXN just to be nice. The bathrooms/showers were so so. Definitely no ventilation, so it was a bit musty. The toilet doors were very close to the toilet and when you sat down, your knees actually hit the door. Overall the park is on a downward trend, many slides and activities not very well maintained. We definitely got a sense that they have a heavy push towards selling the dolphin activities, but we are against these types of activities, so we didn't partake. Don't set your standards high, and it might be an okay experience for you. read more

Took the family here so the girls could swim with the dolphins. This place was fantastic. The pool where you swim is shaded from the sun, which was good on such a warm day. The pool is a perfect temperature, the handlers are knowledgeable and great with the kids. Included in our price we got lunch afterwards, which was great food cooked to perfection and served with a smile. After this, included in the price, we had feee run of the water park and water slides. The kids had a great time, and there were some good slides for us adults too! My wife and I did the Royal Swim with the dolphins today. Our dolphin trainer - Alejando - was just so awesome, friendly, and giving that it's not even funny. He was hilarious and made us feel welcome and special. As for the dolphin experience, I can go ahead and knock off an item from my bucket list. It was everything I could have wanted and more. The animals seemed white happy and well taken care of (which was important to us), and the actual experience was great. We called ahead to make sure the park was open in October because our family was in Puerto Vallarta. they were courteous and gaffe is a price quote. Outs better deal oud you booked thru your resort/ hotel. We we're so disappointed with the condition of the park. NOTHING at all like the brochure. The swim area had so much green algae and the staff were so rude, blowing whistle at all the kids to get out of the kids pool even tho they qualified the requirement AND have an adult with them! There wasn't enough water to even make the water slide comfortable! I'm embarrassed to recommend this place to my family. Don't come during low season u need you was b to spend over $25 adult and $25 per kids (regardless how old they are! ). Btw-1 star is pretty high for the poor service, quality, and price. read more

Although the park was pretty much a ghosttown my daughter and I had fun. We purchased the dolphin excursion since she's only 2 1/2 and the only thing she's able to do. The price was $79 for myself and my daughter was free (I purchased beforehand from Puerto Aventuras). If you want to just have entry to the park I believe it was $490 pesos ($27 USD). We were given a life jacket for my child and a locker (with a $50 pesos deposit which you will get back. We played in the lazy river first and then in the kids area. It seemed to be geared towards older kids and not little kids. When it was time to go to the dolphin excursion there was more people that showed up and we were taken to another area to listen to instructions on how to approach the animals and basic hand commands. Then they divide you into smaller groups (maybe 7) and have you go into the pool. There they have you see the dolphins do tricks and swim by in front of you to caress them which is a great experience. They tell you a little background on the dolphins. Each person has a few one and one with a dolphin and an opportunity to take professional photographs. Which by the way was not expensive at all $1,000 pesos ($53 USD) for all of the pictures and 3 printed ones and instantly downloaded to your phone. I almost forgot, we were also given a coupon for a free burger/fries with a drink which was nice once you work up an appetite in the pool. Overall for the price, this is an excellent place and a nice way to get memories. read more

We were here today. We are from USA, we are also globetrotter and use multiple taxi type of services. Today the security guard at this facility called the taxi company and they surrounded our PRIVATE vehicle, that we have been using since Saturday. There were 7 different taxis that blocked us, then continued to follow our private driver after he called the police, then also baby sat us after we had walked out of the venue. They also started following us from the bus stop because they wouldn't let us use our own private service. This is 2017. We don't carry over a certain amount and the area is big enough (meaning many tourist) to use visas!!! Wasted 3.5 hours of our day in a tourist area. read more

This place is a scam. If you have kids you will be tempted to visit. Ten Cuidado! Most kids cannot go on the ZipLine (need to weigh more than 44kg), they won't let you in the Adventure course without closed toed shoes (which they conveniently sell for a gouging price at their shop) and when we went the slides were "under maintenance". We came to this water park to do the swimming with dolphins activity as part of my husband's company trip. It was amazing! It really was a once in a lifetime experience to be able to interact with the dolphins. The staff member with us was Pati, and she was paired with the most charming dolphin named Simba, and they were both great. We were able to pet, dance with, swim with, and even high five Simba. Pati was really funny, and she seemed to have a close, caring relationship with Simba. I cannot say much to the price of admission though, as my husband's company paid for it. read more

Came here as part of an excursion package for Dolphin Encounter booked through our Costco representative at Villa La Estancia. The Dolphin Encounter ticket included admission to Aquaventuras, a few "meal tickets" for cafe style dining, and of course, the equipment and instruction to get into the pools with the dolphins. Everything was pretty organized. We were instructed to go to a meeting spot and then were walked over to the pools which are off away from the main water park. There are lockers available to store valuables. You are fitted for the appropriate life vest by one of the people working there, and then you get a brief orientation about where to go and what to do. We were all instructed to line up in the pool and when our dolphin trainer came out, he gave us the go ahead to get in. Just a heads up, the drop is pretty big! There is a ledge that you are supposed to drop to and then past the ledge is the drop off into the pool where the dolphins actually swim. The drop was quite the shock for me especially since I'm not that tall to begin with, and I don't swim very well. The trainer goes down the line to allow each person time with the dolphin. The experience is pretty amazing, and you get lots of adorable pictures out of it. A great excursion option for families and kids at heart. read more
