We did the Marietas Islands snorkeling + Hidden Beach tour and it was a highlight of our trip. Booking was easy and Roberta provided lots of great info ahead. (One tip: if you're staying in Sayulita... listen when Roberta recommend getting cash ahead on the way to Sayulita! ATMs in town are often out of cash.) And while I can't remember his name, the guy who got us set up for our trip was also super helpful as was Oscar our driver. The trip itself was awesome! Palma & Edgar were a top-notch team. Palma, our guide, had so much knowledge and a real joy in sharing it. He also really knows how to connect with people, their individual needs, and help make the experience special. And because of this we saw so many different kinds of fish, birds, crabs, whales... and learned about the National Park, the area, etc. I'll have his joy-filled "Look, look... Mira, mira..." in my head for awhile as I explore the world, and that's a good thing. He guided us through Hidden Beach and it's caves and took pictures for us so we could just enjoy. On the ride back Edgar, our awesome captain, and Palma were set on finding whales, and we did! And Palma went around and filmed with everyone's cameras so that we could be in the moment and enjoy all the while keeping his energy and attention on the group experience. We saw the bigger boats out there, with water slides and such, and we were so glad to have this more intimate tour. And we met some great people on our small tour, so having beers and tacos afterward together (set up by the tour) was a great touch. read more

We had a great time on the Eco Snorkelling tour to Islas Marietas. Here are some details. You meet at the company office where you fill out forms and pick up swim mask/fins. Gear is in good shape. They then take the group in a air conditioned van to Punta Mita. This takes about a hour. It was a nice van and driver. From there you get on a boat with a Captain, Deck Hand, and Tour guide. Our guide was Reggie who was knowledgeable and well spoken. The boat ride is about a half hour with some stops along the way to see whales and dolphins. You then enter the marine reserve and tour around the Marietes Islands and see a ton of very cool birds and geological features. This is followed by snorkeling where the guide and deck hand join in the water and point out the various fish. This is ends with a beach visit where guide points out various coral. We did not opt for the more expensive "hidden beach" option and do not feel like we missed out as we saw other arches and beaches. But, knock yourself out. Trip back is not rushed, stopping for more whales and birds. In general, it was a well thought out tour. Suggest booking direct with them as expedia/ travelocity etc is $10 more per person. read more

I have been on their tour to Murietas Islands and Hidden Beach twice now and I can honestly say they are the only ones I will ever book with. They provide the smallest and most intimate tours. The island's daily capacity by federal law is 116. We had 4 on our tour and because of our amazing tour guide Palma we actually had the island to ourselves for about 10 mins. Palma is friendly, super knowledgeable and hilarious! He clearly loves his work and loves the ocean and life surrounding it even more. He is passionate and answered every question we had enthusiastically. He took photos of us and gave us a private tour on the island and even showed us the heart of the island. He made sure we got the experience we all hoped for. We finished off the day with a yummy dinner at a local restaurant in Sayulita. read more

I am sorry to say that I had booked a trip with this company. The night before the trip I was hospitalized for a very bad case of food poisoning. They will not return my money for a medical emergency. Nor would they reschedule to another day. I myself run a small business and know how hard it can be. I would never keep someone's money for something if they had a documented medical emergency. People need to do better. read more

Porque su hospitalización nos valio dos dias sin poder hacer los planes que teníamos programados. Si muy bien sabemos que el enfermarse no está en nuestras manos, ni en las de nadie, si espere que me dieran alguna opción como moverla para otro día o que me dieran parte del reembolso. Entendemos su lado de "es un negocio" "hay un contrato que se firmó" pero tratándose de la salud, la cosa cambia, y no hicieron ni una pequeña acción por intentar ayudarnos y darnos alguna otra opción. Si, el envío un correo días después, cuando ya se sentía mejor, claramente le comenté lo que me habían dicho y quizá por eso el personalmente decidió enviar un correo. Mi llamada la hice el jueves a las 10:18 am. Ahí le dejo la foto para su conocimiento. No a las 12. Y si fue 4 horas antes vuelvo y le digo que se enfermó, estábamos en el hospital y tristemente es muy difícil saber si uno se va a enfermar 24, 10, 8, 4, o 1 hora antes de un servicio que hayamos tomado. I have been diving for over 10 years in various places around the world and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. Don't let the other positive reviews deceive you but this is truly an amateur diving company combined with rude and disrespectful business practices. Let me elaborate: - I was told to be at the dive shop ready to go at 8:30am and nothing was ready. The crew was still trying to figure the equipment for the day, throwing into dry bags random gear sizes for the various divers. We did not leave for the port until an hour later. - The boat that you get is a little small motorized dinghy boat, once again the equipment is thrown on the ground under benches or on the back/front of the boat. The tanks were rolling around as the boat cruised along. - there is no fresh water to rinse gear/cameras - there is no snacks in between dives but they did provide some water... - there was some confusion about whose gear was whose on the boat - for divers who hadn't dove in the last 5 years there was a brief 4 minute refresher right before getting into the water about what the equipment was - in the water it was complete chaos. Everyone had too much weight and sank to the bottom, the visibility was poor and a few divers almost got lost a few times, and a tank that had not been secured properly to their BCD and was floating up. Then all the sudden after 35mn of diving, we are told to do a safety stop and to go back up to the surface, this happened with both dives. When it was time to get back to the boat once again all the gear was thrown on the floor as a free for all. So all in all two short 40mn dives. - on the return trip, the "captain" made a pit stop to another boat to grab his sandwich and eat it while operating the boat - now turning to their appalling customer service, Roberta who handles the logistics was the most rude and disrespectful individual. I was told I had to pay $25 for a lost fin strap that went missing after I had handed my fins to the boat crew. I was told that I was incompetent and should have known how to remove fins properly, I was told that I should have brought my own gear if I was so incompetent and disrespectful to other's gear. I was insulted numerous time and I was told to pay or they would just charge my credit card regardless without my consent which they ended up doing without my knowledge anyways (luckily i was able to report it to my CC company)! I was then sent various harassing emails by Roberta about it as you can see below. Here are some positives: - we saw lots of whales getting to the island - we got a decent included lunch once we got back to town - I got to dive twice for a brief 40mn hoping everyone would make it back to the boat safely In summary - not a safe company to dive with - unprofessional, rude, and even unlawful management practices charging your credit card without your consent or knowledge - do yourself a favor, take your business elsewhere and dive with another company read more

Went diving today with Sayulita Entourage. The staff are awesome. Our dive instructor Jamie and the dive crew are fun to dive with. During our last dive, my wife's lost her dive boot that goes into the flipper. Jamie immediately dove down and searched for it twice. With no lock we headed back in. Jamie informed us that there would be an extra charge and we told her that it won't be a problem. When we arrived back into town, we had some fish tacos provided as part of the package. As we were eating the tacos, Stephan the owner comes up and tells us we owe him 1000 pesos for losing the booty. My wife could not believe he was charging us that much for a worn out piece of dive gear. Stephan got upset when my wife questioned him about the price and stormed off saying we were not going to pay for it. On top of that, Roberta wis wife comes running over saying how terrible we are for not paying. I tried to tell them a dozen times that I never said we were not going to pay. I assured them that we are going to pay, but felt like we were being overcharged. I don't know if there was a language barrier since they sound French, but they were extremely rude and unprofessional business owners. I absolutely do not recommend or support this company. I will never be back to dive with them and will make sure to tell my friends to choose someone else. Jamie and the crew are fantastic and should find another dive place to work for. As you can see from their response below, they are very dramatic and over the top. There are many other places to dive at and you should look elsewhere. All this over a worn out booty. I was very nervous to go scuba diving for the first time but once I met the team, I was completely reassured by their professionalism, care for safety, and friendly, easy-going attitudes. Thanks to Roberta for a fantastic booking process, Stephan for giving me the scuba run-down in the pool, taking time to explain everything, and Paul for being such a great guide who reassured me every step of the way in my open water experience. These guys did a great job! We did a 3 hour whale watching/snorkeling tour with Manuel and Edgar and they surpassed all expectations. Not only were they fun and enjoyable to spend the time with, they were thoughtful and conscientious about the whales and protecting the islands. We saw a ton of whales, snorkeled with beautiful fish (including a puffer fish) and walked on a private beach that Manuel knew about. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. They do not care about their customers at all. They only care about your money. They make you pay half as a deposit (ok) and then they make you pay the rest 24 hours before you go on the trip (kinda weird but ok). My boyfriend and I drove down from further north along the coast near San Blas for 2 hours to get there in the morning. We had no idea that Sayulita would be an hour ahead of San Blas. For this reason we ended up being almost an hour late. They left without us which was fine and then after I called the owner crying, she refused to refund me the 65 dollars I had just paid and was extraordinarily rude. No compassion at all. So essentially I paid these people 140 dollars for absolutely nothing besides the worst customer service I've ever seen. In short they have horrible customer service and only care about the money. read more

First time scuba diving, so I chose discover scuba. I was very intimidated at first, but the staff was extremely friendly, especially Stephane and Roberta. Stephane acquainted me very well with all the scuba equipment, and I felt extremely safe and comfortable in the ocean 30 feet deep with him. The visibility was amazing as well as all of the marine life we were able to see. I recommend this place 100%, since its much more reputable than all the other scuba shops in town. I'm not entirely sure what people look for when booking Scuba Dive shops but I look for PADI certification and small groups. When you book you never know what you're getting into but we weren't disappointed. We were met by Stephane who was instantly a nice, welcoming guy. We got onto the boat where all the equipment was ready for us, and we went off to the diving destination. As a guy with only 27 dives under my belt, at the time, I appreciated the fact that he could joke around and have fun but when it was time to get serious he did, such as doing a dive safety overview. He told us planned depths, duration's, safety considerations (such as Sea Urchins - which I wouldn't have thought about, etc.). Also, we did two days of diving with him and on my second day, after the first dive, I got sick (turns out later to be a little Montezuma's Revenge). But when I was hurling over the boat he didn't give me a hard time, nor did he give me a hard time when I decided to sit out the last dive. It was a great time, all the way, and I would happily recommend his shop to anyone looking for a good dive shop! read more
