Like everyone else, this review is for the new Breeze Thru and their incompetent rude staff. If I could give them zero stars, I would....I had been a postal customer of the former Dolphin's for 8-9 years and have always received efficient (& usually friendly since they knew me) service. I came in with a large stack of business mail that needed to be weighed and stamped. The first gentleman behind the counter did not seem to understand how US addresses were written and had a very difficult time navigating the postal Computer system. It took a long time for him to process just 3 out of my 20 envelopes while a long line was starting to form at the other register. It became apparent that he was the only one there behind the counter at this time. People were getting impatient & I was getting frustrated with the incompetence. After another 10 mins, another employee walked back in after her cigarette break...(She was crouched outside when I walked into the store. It should've been apparent that help would be needed with all the customers walking in.) She told the first guy to go take care of the cash register while she took over the post office transactions. She glared at me and snapped "ya know that you could've done all this on the internet" to me. Uh....YOU are being paid to do a job so DO IT!! I DON'T need to explain myself to you. She continued with her obvious attitude and slapped each envelope down on the scale while furiously jabbing the keys on the key board. Wow!! What a gem this one is!! ....so...customer beware. If you want service, come in here with low expectations. read more

I may be the only review that thinks this place is great. A mini post office to mail all my small business packages that is better than the usual post office!!! Literally never a line! My package ships quicker than the regular post office. I think the staff is hilarious! The ladies remind me of my fun aunts!! I rarely get gas here just because it's always packed or sometimes out of gas in my past experiences..... but the post office is a gem! read more

I have went by this place many times and never knew it existed. It is easy to miss, you can see it from 55 but it is in a low area so you do not really see it. I am a fan just because they have a 350 gallon Salt Water Aquarium. They have many different species of fish, including a brown spotted Eel. How cool is that. The aquarium is in front of the bathrooms and can be viewed from both long sides. They also have a Post Office here where you can send packages and buy postage. I was surprised. Very well kept , clean and neat. BP gas with 8 plus pumps. read more

This store is a gas station and mini post office. The post office elements are limited but for simple actions - they can get the job done. I didn't have a good experience with the post office element. I went to ship a package. Now, this part is on me - I put the address where it should have gone to in the from section; instead of the to section. However, the woman working the counter did not confirm with me (I learned later this was action that should have taken place) what the to address was to be. When I received the package back, I went back to the location to see why it was returned to me. The woman told me I would have to paid $16 AGAIN to have it mailed due to the error. I was taken back, why would I pay AGAIN for a mistake that could have been caught if she had confirmed with me the correct address. The other manager stepped in and told me that I would need to go to the main post office - about 15 mins away and have them refund me and reship it to the correct address. Again, I take responsibility for my part - but the way the woman came off when she didn't do her part wasn't great customer service at ALL. I just left and went to the main office as the male manager stated. There they refunded the amount and posted it to the cost of shipping it again. Lesson was learned on my part - check your labels and make sure THEY confirm where it is going. read more

Eh... I came here because it is one of the few Post Office locations around (if I'm mistaken, please let me know). I'm not used to post offices being in gas stations... this seems so foreign/odd/unusual to me. Nonetheless, I mailed a package and picked up some stamps here. The worker was somewhat friendly... well, kind of friendly... well, he wasn't the most social. Ah well... not sure if he is an actual USPS worker or a gas station employee. Gas was more expensive here than down the road at Sheetz. This place was hopping though (around lunch time). read more

This review is for the new breeze thru. I find the folks working there friendly. I came in a bit late to mail a package and walked right up to the counter not noticing the post office portion was closed. The guy behind the counter opened up and helped me since USPS pick up truck was still there. He explained they had already closed but he'd be happy to help since the post office truck was still there and would be able to take my package. This may not seem like a lot but I really was the rude one in the way I just walked up and assumed they would help me (which they did). The guy was really nice even though he could clearly have turned me away. read more

Rude and unattentive - Similar to a few of the others, this is in regards to the BreezeThru. As I waited my turn as second in line for postal services, the employee behind the counter silently points to the weight scale. Once the person ahead of me leaves, I step up, but their is no greeting, eye contact, or anything from the employee. He brings up one option for shipping and slaps a sticker on the envelope before I can say a word. I mention that I am in no rush to get the envelope to its destination quickly, and he mumbles something under his breath about knowing that people do not want to spend a lot on shipping. I give him a $5 and wait for my change, which never materializes. I have to ask for the change back after he closes the register. read more

Their car wash isn't the best, by far. Gotten one twice there, won't do it again, car not clean nor dry enough compared to others in that class. And their gas prices, the highest, by far. According to the NewsObserver, the avg price in the metro area today is $3.34, and Dolphin's is still at $3.59, I know, for I looked as I drove by on my way to pay $3.43 at a different station. Sure, Dolphin's is a nice, clean place, but they use their lack of competition to charge way too much. I go out of my way not to go there for that very reason. read more

A nice clean gas station just off of Highway 55 as you enter Cary... and a direct access exit from it onto HWY 55? Yep. I think it's the only one with access this easy on HWY 55 between Durham and Apex. Oh... then there the fact that it's also got a convenience store, a post office, a huge as well as nice aquarium, and ample pumps to make sure you never have to wait even at 6PM on a weekday. It's hard to see it from 55, but once you use this station, you'll make it your regular spot for gas on your commute. read more

Yes, the gas is consistently more expensive than the Han-Dee-Hugo Crown about 1.25 miles south of here. BUT... this is one of the few gas stations in town that offers ethanol-free gas. Most of the Dolphin pumps say "up to 10% ethanol", but pumps #11 and #12 (closest to the car wash and air pumps) have "Amoco Silver" 89 octane without ethanol. For lawn mowers, this ethanol-free fuel is better than blends, because the ethanol can wear out the carburetor gaskets in small 2-stroke engines. read more

The new owners "Breeze Thru" is a complete disaster. Avoid. Extortionary pricing and basically an empty store. We miss you, Dolphins!

This review is for the new Breeze-Thru operation which took over the Dolphin operation. I don't even see the Breeze-Thru listed on the online rating sites like YELP. I sense a collapse in customer service developing in the new operation. I tried mailing a 1 lb. package here, and the person behind the counter rung it up for $27+, because she did not understand the term "Media Mail", and didn't bother to ask me when I told her. She assumed Express Mail! Her supervisor took over and corrected it, but not very smoothly. I don't think she is used to dealing with customers, either....While there, I had to ask the store manager what the huge unit (about 12 feet x 5 feet x 3 feet) was occupying the floor space in front of the deli. His answer, "I don't know, but I sure hope they tell me....",,while staring out the window--no eye contact. That was it.......(I'm not expecting much out of this crew!) read more

Gas prices are outrageously above others. They exploit the fact that they are somewhat isolated. The car wash is awful, I tried it twice and my vehicle seems worse after the car wash - I don't know how that is possible but it it the truth. It is convenient as a post office and I use it for that purpose somewhat regularly. I will say the condition of this gas station/post office has deteriorated significantly in the past couple of years. I understand that plain ol' use will create wear and tear - but it could at least be clean (which it is not). With the exception of the post office, I feel like the place is overpriced and dirty. read more

The cost of gas here is always 10-20 cents more than most stations in the area. The Marathon just north is just as bad. I pass by here twice a day for my commute but never stop in. read more

What a worst car wash they have. It's a pure waste of money. I spent $10 and it didn't wash my car at all and I can still see the dirt. I went inside and talked to the clerk and he said he cannot refund the money back. It is a total scam and I noticed other people also experienced the same thing. Now, I know I have to read reviews even for a freakin car wash. read more

WORST GAS STATION EVER UNLESS YOU WANT A FIGHT i tried to buy a sweet tea (i just turned 19, 145 pounds.) all of the sudden this giant of a man says i owed him .49 cents form before i moved to boone. (back on xmas break). i still do not understand this but he refused my purchase and i said **** you after he THREW my card back at me. at this point i was very confused as to why he was being so rude. after i began to leave he ran out and CHOKE SLAMMED ME. i have several pictures and plan to press charges against this "tough guy". called the cops but all they did was say they didnt see what happened, even though i have MASSIVE bruises all over my neck. in addition the man said i swung on him first. yeah, right, im gonna try to pick a fight with a guy 140 pounds heaver than me and 6' 5" tall. seriously CARY PD?? SEROIUSLY? now i am going through the magistrate and hopefully putting this roidhead out of business. BE WARNED if you are ever buying gas from this dolphins on highway avoid it at all costs unless you want to get in a confrontation. This guy is nuts.
