Orange and almond cake GF at Domain Ayr. Yum

WOW this cafe is underrated. Domain Ayr, you made my day. Fabulous and creative healthy food. I'm gluten intolerant (not a celiac), and there are lots of choices for me. Cute friendly cafe, and my vegetable frittata is so colorful, like edible art, and I love that it's not salty at all, you can taste the true flavors of the veggies. Mild flavor. Gorgeous. The orange pistachio muffin/cake is tasty with a much better texture than you find in most gluten free muffins. Nice strong flat white. And hey I think I will eat here tomorrow as well! Lots of vegan choices as well. Something for everyone.

Love this place. I've driven pass this place so many times, and finally got a chance to come in. Friendly and relaxing atmosphere. Clean and natural feel. Lots of wooden furnitures. Has a mixture seatings for different group sizes. Serves mostly branch foods. Uses pretty much all organic products. Flavour is a bit on the lighter side, but it is refreshing. Not known for their speed, but definitely worth the wait. Do try their famous pancake! No dedicated parking, but there are plenty of street parking around. The space down the back is only for tenants and not for restaurant customers.

Every time I'm sat at the traffic lights on my way out of the Domain at the top of Parnell Road, I always look at this little café and tell myself to go and try it. Today I did just that; I popped in there with my partner for coffee and cake at lunchtime. The café was full of a young, trendy crowd enjoying a lazy Sunday lunch. The café is only small and pretty much all of the tables, inside and out, were full. The service was really good, the guys behind the counter were so friendly and I was really impressed by their white chocolate and raspberry cake and my partner loved his banana loaf. These cost $4.50, as did the coffees, so no complaints there. I only wish I'd have gone in there for brunch instead of just a snack as the poached eggs on toast looked absolutely amazing. They pride themselves on serving great quality organic food and everything is either vegetarian or vegan. I'll definitely be returning for my own lazy Sunday brunch next weekend.

    Simple but plenty!

Quaint cafe with excellent fresh food, smoothies, and gluten free options. Service was quick.

The ambiance was vibey and loved that I was sitting outside, but still covered from the sun. The waiters were so nice and were able to answer any questions I had. I ordered an iced hazelnut oatmilk latte and a fried chicken benedict and they were delicious! The latte was the perfect drink to wake me up for a busy day ahead! They definitely do eggs benedict different but it was still so tasty. Instead of the usual english muffin, they used an herb rostis, which is a crispy hash brown round. The fried chicken was juicy and crispy. The herb rostis was also crispy and paired well with the creamy poached eggs! I miss this meal so much and dreaming of having this again the next time I go back to Auckland!

Cute little place and good coffee, but the service was off and the food was just mediocre…read more For starters, the eggs were overdone for their requested temp (over easy was done like over medium and over medium was done like over hard), the smoothie was pulpy, and the french toast was just alright. The toast was a little overcooked too but it didnt ruin the flavor The service wasny terrible but at some points it felt like it was servers first day on earth. When they brought out my latte, i asked if it was the hazelnut latte (as that was what i ordered) just to verify because she only said it was a latte. She acted really confused then said that she didnt know. Later when bringing out the eggs, as they were auctioning off the two egg dishes and we all pointed to the one at our table who ordered it and all said it was his, and they acted really confused until we repeated ourselves like 3 times. At one point someone at out table asked for raw sugar for their coffee (once again the server acting confused until we repeated ourselves a bunch) and brought out brown sugar instead. Its weird because it was not that loud in there to where they wouldnt be able to hear us Overall it was alright. Id go back got coffee and thats about it

The place is very aesthetically pleasing with lots of light coming in through the floor to ceiling windows all around. The menu isn't long but still has enough variance to please everyone. We had a full brunch feast with two savory plates and a sweet one. The pork belly benedict had the eggs made to perfection and the pork belly was perfectly juicy without feeling like it was all fat. The french toast was super tasty and not overwhelmingly sweet, of course the variety of colors made it such a fun plate. The bowl had the most amazing mushrooms I've ever had along with the freshest vegetables! I dream of the day I'll be able to go back and eat here.

We were in and out of there is about 40 minutes. The service was fast, which is understandable given the amount of people they must get through every morning. Coffee, pastry, breakfast, everything was on point. Food was very instagram-able but tasted like what you'd expect. Standard fair, in a good way. I.e A lot of flowers for garnish, but its an omelette and tasted like a normal omelette. If I had any feedback it would be to pull back on the garnishes and focus on things that add flavor, it'll look just as tasty with a more rustic no fuss aesthetic. Suitable for a brisk sit down brunch. It was so loud and busy in there that you wouldn't want to stay hangout anyway.

Our server was super sweet and attentive until we placed our orders. We never saw her again, no mention she was leaving for the day (I could see her inside on her cell phone and changed with a backpack). Our food was delivered and the other server didn't seem to notice (or care) that our water glasses were empty, as I found out that she too were on her way out of work. We didn't get water refills until the check came, in which is was a third server and then it took probably 2mins for her to run our card because she was busy setting tables and chatting with coworkers. The food here was amazing and filling- large portions, but the Mac n cheese was disappointing. I would give this 4 stars, but due to the fact that the servers are more interested in going home and chatting with coworkers than taking care of their guests (at one point we were the only table in the whole place and still couldn't get a water refill), this place is getting only 2 stars. It's got potential if it gets new staff.

As you can see with the photos, Dirty Laundry does not follow its namesake; it has a clean, crisp and hip interior and a pretty nice patio area. We had an awesome waitress that was more than obliging when we asked to charge our phones and requested a wifi code. We decided to go with the Smashed Avo. Stellar choice; eggs were cooked perfectly, chilli oil and hummus were both a nice and subtle touch. We also had the breakfast tacos. The salsa that was on the side was so tasty; we were bummed when it was all gone! For drinks, we had an espresso and mimosa and there were no complaints there. Both drinks were fresh. We got away from Dirty Laundry with 3 entrees, an espresso and mimosa for close to $40 USD. Not too shabby! Please, if you are on a cruise stop and don't want to travel far from the pier, check this place out. Overall: 5 Venue: 5 Service: 5 Food: 5 Drinks: 5 Price: $$
