The location is a short walk away from the main stretch of the town, within the Cavendish Arcade, I did find it quite hard to find and did have to call the restaurant to ask for walking directions. The interior is typical of old Pizza Express, I don't find it as attractive or comfortable as their newly refurbished restaurants. The tables mainly had wooden chairs and there were few booths. PRO TIP: Be sure to take advantage of their Pizza Express Club loyalty scheme on their app, after just a couple of visits you can get a bunch of freebies to make your trip more affordable. Without these offers, it can be a little pricey however once you unlock the gold tier you're able to get bonuses such as a free soft drink, bottled water, dough balls, coffee and Dolcetti and the list continues. The overall speed and friendliness of the service were good, and the staff member was able to make my usual Pizza Express pizza, even though it's no longer on the main menu. The manager also helped manually apply a discount as I had technical issues with the Pizza Express app, where offers I should have had were not working. I ordered a gluten-free Pollo Pancetta pizza, with a portion of dough balls to go with it, my pizza looked good and was good, and the quantity of the toppings was generous. The only issue would be the thickness of the peppers, the mixed peppers were in thick chunks which made them almost inedible, this is a change I've noticed at various Pizza Express locations within the past 2-3 months, so it looks like it could be a minor change to supplier or preparation. Connecting to the WiFi is a must, I found my mobile data signal here to be non-existent, and even then the WiFi was slow. 4* - Good standards of food and service, at excellent value only when combined with the Pizza Express Club offers, the interior could be more comfortable.

They have recently refurbished this location lately with the "Pizzeria" branding, I think the new look for the restaurant is so much fresher, and although the lighting could be better (It is a little dark inside), they have made this location look so much better. I would suggest booking at peak times, there aren't a lot of tables as this is a rather small branch and can get full quickly, many tables are designed to fit larger groups of at least four, and there is limited availability for smaller groups, so booking via the Pizza Express app would be a good idea to avoid disappointment. The staff here seem rather friendly, especially an Italian male (The manager?), who even began chatting to me regarding my Fantasy Football team. I ordered my usual pizza which is a GF Pollo Pancetta, it had really good flavours and was cooked well, especially the meat. Pancetta can burn and become a little chewy rather quickly, however, the meat was cooked perfectly and was a great combination for my pizza. I'd usually go for pepperoni but this wasn't an option - there was chorizo and 'Nduja (a spicy, spreadable pork sausage) but I wasn't in the mood for anything too 'hot'. The tomato, mozzarella and basil was decent enough, with the base far less soggy on the bottom than nearby Honest Crust's (http://www.yelp.co.uk/biz/honest-crust-altrincham) but I must admit I preferred the latter's. Pix's crust was a tad dry and crunchy, though to be fair it came with a small pot of dipping sauce which was a nice touch. And an unexpected small packet of Love Hearts. Random, but appreciated. They're up against tough competition in Honest Crust, especially as you can sit down and enjoy their pizza in Market House - at Pix there are no seats apart from the two small tables out front. The owner was incredibly welcoming and we got to chatting, they've been open 10 months and business has been good. Whilst I was in there a steady stream of customers came in, some ordered and stayed, some ordered and took out. At first I was only feeling like a hot brew, so opted for an Earl Grey which was from Stash Tea Company - it tasted delicious, not had a tea hit me in such a satisfying way in a long time. Anyway, after that I decided to grab a light bite as well so went for their scrambled eggs on brown toast. It was absolutely delicious.
