I've been in here several times this year. On this particular occasion I popped in for some breakfast with my mum. The outside seating area at the front was full, so we sat in the outside area at the back. I opted for poached egg, mushroom, beans and sour dough. Simple meal but perfectly executed. I really like the atmosphere and decor in here. I was once given a free cake :) 100% recommend

You can tell this shop is owned by someone who lives and breathes quality food (in this case trained chef Ben Hayes). He chooses great items that have clearly been tested for taste, but he also makes sure that his products have as few artificial colours and preservatives as possible. The best bit about Thyme Out Deli is eating in though. It might not be the cheapest place to go for cafe fare, but the best ingredients are guaranteed, and any menu with Eggs Benedict is an instant reason to sit down for breakfast. In fact, if there's Eggs Benedict on the menu, I find it difficult to choose anything else. Luckily, it's the best I've had in ages. A wonderful outside catering menu (which you can find on their website) and a free delivery for anything over £20 is what really makes this Deli a winner though. Love it.

Great location, great atmosphere, great back and rear gardens. Very very busy but the service was still great. The food, tea and smoothies were all excellent. Would definitely come back again.

Thyme out used to be my favourite café for breakfast on the weekend. So we had to go there for our first breakfast of our weekend in Manchester. It's as great and crowded as ever. We were lucky that a small take freed up very quickly. The poached eggs with salmon were fantastic and so was the burger. My boyfriend even preferred it over the Almost Famous burger he had. That's high praise. Great coffee and super yummy cakes too. Plus friendly and attentive staff. A must go every time.

Revisited, not disappointed. I stuck to the omelet and salad, but decided to add the Spanish Churrus con Chocolat. Best life decision!

I really enjoyed the place and the food was so delicious. The service was fast and they were very polite and helpful. I liked the cupcake it was like melting in your mouth. I definitely recommend this place and I look forward to visit it very soon.

We arrived at Thyme having read in timeout magazine that this was one of the 10 most recommended go-to places to brunch in Manchester. At 1.30pm on a Sunday we were told it would be a not so outrageous 5 minute wait, however, there was a little mix up and the patrons who came in after us were seated before us. Reasoning that sometimes mistakes happen and additionally with it being a lazy Sunday we didn't mind waiting. However, the staff at the restaurant realized their mistake and apologized profusely. They offered us drinks while we waited, menus to peruse and kept us informed of when we would be seated. 20 minutes later we were seated and we had ordered. I went for the build your own option with bacon, beans, fried egg cooked over hard and gluten free toast, whilst my partner went for the breakfast burrito which was filled with scrabbled egg, pancetta, sausage, avocado and with a smidge of hollandaise sauce. The food was pretty good, everything was cooked well. It would have been nice to have some butter on the side to spread on my toast but overall it was more than decent. My partners burrito was similar, it was well presented, well cooked but it needed a little something else flavour wise to make it great. For their earlier mistake the staff kindly waived the fee for the drinks and brought us over complimentary cake. This was very generous. The vibe of this place is very modern contemporary and if it had been less damp outside then I almost certainly would have loved to sit outside in their covered and heated patio area which also has blankets for those who need added warmth. What I loved about this place wasn't necessarily the food, it was the hospitality and service. The staff were all attentive, regardless of whether they were waiting your table and they all looked like they enjoyed working at the deli and actually got along. It was nice to watch. I can't wait to come back. Thank you for making our bank holiday Sunday a great one :) Also a big thank you to the lovely waiter who found my hat and returned it!

Another lovely breakfast here. The weather was great so wr sat in the secret garden. They have huge comfy sofas and blankets for the chill. I ordered my own pick and mix breakfast snf my friend had breakfast burrito which was awesome-. The service was quick and very friendly and the prices once again really reasonable. I simply love this place every time i order i am shocked my how good the food is they just got it right here.

I came for brunch with my sister, who I haven't seen for the past 3 years and everything was amazing. Staff was super friendly and the food was outstanding! I'm definitely coming back soon to try some other dishes!

We had a really nice brunch here. Very good portions and good quality food. Worth noting they only have tables for up to 4 inside. There are 4 bigger tables (seat 8) in the covered area outside. This is where we sat and it was nice. There are radiant heaters if it's cool. Pleasant service.

The staff are extremely friendly, I've seen the same young guy on shift every time I've been in and he makes you feel welcome every time, although I bit sorry for him having to be at work, early doors on the weekends. They have a good staple selection of traditional breakfasts, no fancy bagels or Benedict's of any sort to be found, which is not a bad thing when they use quality local sourced ingredients. As Raam pointed out in his review they use meat from Axons of Didsbury which is only a few doors further down the road. The coffee is very good and warrants a second cup with your breakfast and they've even served my friend an ultra big size each time he's asked even though it's technically not on the menu to provide him with his caffeine fix. Although I'm not a tea drinker I have it on good authority the tea selection top notch and they provide you with all the sundries which appear necessary, a separate milk pot and extra hot water provided with your loose leaf tea. There are newspapers provided and free wi-fi for those more technological media addicts. They promote local artists work on the walls as well which is a nice touch and most of the work is for sale if anythnig takes your fancy. It's something I've seen more and more in independent cafes and it's a practice of which I thoroughly approve. The only criticism which is more about the location. The tables are on the small side and wouldn't really accommodate a large group of people, this however adds to cosy cafe feel, as long as you a friendly enough with those you are eating with. It can however be a bit of a squeeze past if people are ordering or paying at the counter as you are trying to enter or leave. All in all a solid independent cafe just of the Didsbury high street, with great staff and a pleasant community feel.

In fact it's the bakery here that I'm particulary taken by; you can get local organic breads, flavoured ciabatta, Polish rye, cheesecakes, french fruit tarts, fudge cakes, mousse cakes...the list goes on and on! This is a generously-sized store (owner-managed, I would think) full of lovingly sourced speciality produce, lush sandwiches, mezze boxes, speciality breads and cakes - see Angela B's review for more - a huge display fridge runs the length of the store. As with near neighbours Inman's and West Didsbury in general, the vibe and customer service is super-nice and helpful in an unpressured way, with plenty of space for your average free-range human being to move around. Not tried them, but I take this as a barometer of where Fusion Deli want to be - they sell Garcia's corn chips, which come in blue and white corn varieties. That's a premium organic brand, and probably as good a bag of tortilla chips as you can buy in Manchester if you are trying to raise your Mexican cooking to the next level. I'm not local to the 'burb, and I'm not a big deli shopper as I have other more convenient places to buy my dry goods and get them home, such as the Suma truck. But if you are a foodie living in West Didsbury, I would suggest popping in from time-to-time for some goodies, and especially the senior staff here are bound to have some useful foodie advice on how to pull meals together. West Didsbury is great as there is so much on offer within the crossing roads of Lapwing Lane and Burton Road. For example, you could pick up a magazine at Inman's, deli shop at Fusion, enjoy a soup-sandwich-chips lunch deal at Greens. (See my photos of Greens deal boards under their entry.) All on foot, and still be done within an hour and a half. Or any of a hundred and one other fab permutations.

I've walked past here on numerous occasions and it's always been busy so I can't believe that I'd never thought of giving it a try. We had to wait a few minutes for a table, but it was obvious that the staff were trying their hardest to clear tables and get people seated as quickly as possibly. Due to the cafe being so busy we expected to wait a while to be served but after a few minutes someone came over to take our order. We also didn't have to wait very long for our food to arrive either - the kitchen staff were clearly running around like headless chickens, but the food came out looking like a piece of art on the plate. I ordered eggs Benedict royal which has salmon in place the of the ham and my friend had normal eggs Benedict. All of the eggs were runny in the middle and the sauce was to die for. The portion sizes were great as well, we were both happily full afterwards. After sitting and chatting for a while whilst drinking tea, we saw a few people ordering slices of cake, the cake looked delicious so we headed over to the counter to have a look at the options. There was a good selection of around 6 different cakes. I opted for the banoffee pie and I'm so glad I did. Each mouthful was a little taste of heaven - crunchy base, creamy topping and a flavoursome banoffee filling with little chunks of banana. Yum. The only fault I can give is the name of this place - its not really a 'deli' more of an italian themed coffee shop, apart from that, it was absolutely amazing.
