I kindly say thank you and leave. Why would a business advertise hours of operation and not fulfill its commitments to their customers? Why keep the lights on with sign displaying your open to turn customers away? I work for a big company that orders for our employees all the time. American Pie hosted a dinner I had for a non-profit I help run and it could not have gone smoother. I gave them a number of people and menu selections and Chrystal, our waitress took care of absolutely everything else! Instead of worrying about micromanaging, I was able to be present for our celebrated guests. I would not hesitate to have my next event there. What made it even more frustrating was watching a party seated behind us receive service while we continued to be overlooked. After waiting half an hour, we finally decided to leave and went to The Fold down the street instead. I had been excited about this dinner all week, and it was disappointing for my birthday plans to end that way. I've always had good experiences at The Pizzeria before, which is why this was so surprising. The food and desserts have always been excellent, but on this visit the service was nonexistent. I understand that busy nights happen, but after bringing the issue to someone's attention and still receiving no service, we felt we had no choice but to leave.
