I hate writing negative reviews, especially for a place I've enjoyed in the past, but this experience was very disappointing. The Pizzeria was actually my birthday dinner choice this year because I had been looking forward to it all week. We requested a table outside and were seated promptly. After about 15 minutes of waiting without seeing a server, we mentioned to an employee that no one had come to our table. We were told they would let Travis know. Unfortunately, Travis never came, and neither did anyone else. We ended up waiting approximately 30 minutes total without anyone taking a drink order, bringing water, or even acknowledging us. What made it even more frustrating was watching a party seated behind us receive service while we continued to be overlooked. After waiting half an hour, we finally decided to leave and went to The Fold down the street instead. I had been excited about this dinner all week, and it was disappointing for my birthday plans to end that way. I've always had good experiences at The Pizzeria before, which is why this was so surprising. The food and desserts have always been excellent, but on this visit the service was nonexistent. I understand that busy nights happen, but after bringing the issue to someone's attention and still receiving no service, we felt we had no choice but to leave. read more

Buckle up for this one. 2019 New Years Day: My wife and I stop in around 8:30 after being on the road all day. Traveling from Nashville to NWA. We were ignored while sitting at the bar top for 20 minutes. While sitting there, I start reading the restaurants Facebook reviews and noticed the owner's combative and dismissive responses. We finally ordered. Open kitchen concept where we watched the cook stop making our food to have a personal little chat with a server. We got our food and ate very quickly. Due to the small portions I was going to order another pizza. Alas, that didn't happen after a woman behind the bar abruptly notified the entire restaurant that they were out of cheese. We paid our tab and left shortly after. The food was ok, but overpriced IMO. The next morning, I awoke in a not so great mood and decided to leave a negative Facebook review. I was unaware that the woman behind the bar was Jacquelyn the owner. The gaslighting and excuses were on par from what I saw in her other responses. We had some back and forth in the comments where I noted that I worked in the service industry for ten years and would have handled the situation a bit differently. Late 2023: I was reminiscing on one of worst restaurant experiences with some friends and tried to find the pizzeria on Facebook. I couldn't find it and came to the conclusion that I had been blocked. With that, I decided to make a review on Google sharing that 2019 experience. I'll admit, maybe a bit petty on my end. April 2024: A coworker of mine asks if I ever look at my work's Google reviews. It never dawned on me to check those out. We're a large corporation, what good could come out of that? To my surprise, The Pizzeria left a 1 star review, see attached photo. I assume she searched me on LinkedIn after figured out where I worked. I decided to take the high road after seeing that. I deleted all of my reviews and emailed Jacquelyn directly asking her to remove her review so we can all move on with our lives. Her response is also attached. She apparently has no problem leaving reviews but can't figure out how to delete one. I call bullshit. I've followed up multiple times and attempted to call the restaurant, but can never get in touch with her. It is what is now. I'm hoping that anyone who reads this will consider taking their time and money elsewhere. I don't feel great writing this, I'd rather focus on my life and family. I also feel worse for her employees who are subjugated to her awful leadership and classless responses to criticism. I've been there, it sucks to be under the thumb of an owner who doesn't care about your livelihood. That said, I'm a reasonable person. If the bad review is deleted from my organization's page, I have no issues deleting this one. Ball is in your court Jacquelyn. read more

Wow! It's been a minute since we've been to The Pizzeria for pizza. We usually end up there for the homemade desserts. If you are ever wanting a European, fresh ingredients, Neapolitan type pizza, this place is it. I love a foldable, light, doughy pizza. The german chocolate pie....perfect! Unfortunately, it was my first and last time to visit the Pizzeria. I have been meaning to go for years and was drawn in finally, by the desserts... but we didn't even make it to the dessert, after 3 hours waiting and major gaslighting from the staff when we voiced our concerns over the time everything was taking. The owner really needs to train or retrain the staff on hospitality techniques. If there is an understaff issue, which we learned at the end, I would suggest informing guests upfront instead of projecting frustrations and attitudes to the unknowing patrons. The appetizer and entree were not that tasty and certainly not worth hanging out there from 5:30 to 8:30, with that price tag. We left begrudgingly to drive to another restaurant, barely making it before closing, to get the same desert we planned on ordering here. . This time we had excellent service, even though it was 15 minutes before close. Big thanks to the Root Cafe and crew, the strawberry shortcake was amazing! Service was mediocre, the food was not bad and the ambiance was nice. Compared to Delucas, I'd do Delucas, they have larger portions on pizza sizes for a similar price. Anticos in Atlanta is the best, price and portions for fresh Italian (pizza and fresh pasta). read more

I want to start by saying I don't enjoy leaving a poor review, but this one is well warranted. I was part of a party of 7 that ALL OF US contracted norovirus from this restaurant in late September. If you're unfamiliar with the virus, I recommend you looking it up and that would likely give you everything you need to know. I have called the manager 3 times and each time was told he would return my call, to no avail. I wanted an explanation of why we weren't given a full refund for the disaster that was being so sick, out of work, and in need of childcare for the days afterwards. Disappointed with the handling of the situation is an UNDERSTATEMENT. Not only will I never be returning but I encourage no one else to eat here either. Sad man. Used to love this place. Wouldn't recommend it to my enemy. Btw, Arkansas Department of Health was informed and inspected. But, it's the principal of the matter. Tough to find a better atmosphere for a drink with a date than The Pizzeria. They also feature one of the best dessert menus in town. Check the website for the full menu ahead of time but ask about the specials because they have great seasonal offerings. Service was terrific and super helpful on portion sizes for sharing. This was our second time visiting here. The food was good. The frustrating thing was that we ordered dessert (banana pudding), and were told they were sold out... yet we saw them bring several out even 10 minutes after we ordered. Such great service and such tasty food! We arrived maybe an hour before closing but never felt rushed or in the way. We also had a couple come in after us- even closer to closing- and they were still welcomed with open arms! Neapolitan style pizza AND calzones- you'd never guess how delicious and unique the flavor is. The restaurant is beautiful, with gorgeous tin ceiling on one side of the restaurant and wood graces the other. During the warmer months, I can't wait to try their porch seating! Though keeping with the Arkansas (southern) tradition of taxidermy, the animals are not weirdly placed or scary in the slightest- and during the holidays they even participate in the festivities with their own outfits! read more

Wanted to try this place but the service was a big miss. Walked in and stood around not sure if I needed to just grab a seat or be seated. Took a seat right where they make the pizza and sat for a good bit and tried to make eye contact with about 5-6 employee right nearby preparing or serving food. No one attempted to or even acknowledged until walked out and left. Had been recommended by a friend and the place looks really nice and was busy, but only so much feeling out of place and awkward just standing or sitting there I could take. I am writing this on behalf of a group of us that visited the restaurant about a week and a half ago. Let me start by saying my family and quite a few friends frequent this establishment no less than 3-4 times a month. When we picked The Pizzaria to celebrate our friend's final radiation treatment for breast cancer, we thought it would be a memorable time. It was memorable until our friend received her bill. To celebrate her last and final radiation treatment, we brought in a small 8 inch round cake that said "We are proud of you!" The friend bringing the cake in told the front that we had the cake and they said they didn't mind. We had our own paper plates and plastic silverware and needed nothing of the restaurants to eat the cake. Well lo and behold, the waitress told our friend that there would be a $3 charge for bringing in our own cake. We said ok... only to realize it was $3 PER PERSON! We had 11 people in our party which led to an extra fee of $33. No one at the restaurant said a word until after all of the tickets had been paid. When questioned, the staff stated the owner wants desserts to be purchased at the restaurant and that is why there is a fee. The manager said she couldn't refund it until she got permission from the owner. We were in shock. A $10 celebration cake for beating cancer ends up costing quadruple. I, along with many of our friends, will no longer be eating there because of the principal of the matter. We love the food, the cocktails and even the desserts. However, to charge for a cake being brought in and not tell you until it is time to pay is unethical and wrong. We will definitely miss the pizza and cocktails. read more

The Pizzeria was one of the very first dinners we ever had when visiting Little Rock before we moved here. We have been here a couple of times now and we love it just as much as before. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. Their outdoor seating area is so cute with the string lights. I absolutely love their pizzas. No matter the combination, its always a winner. They have really good cocktails to! I highly recommend this spot and will be bringing guests here when they visit. read more

I came in to sit at the bar and order dinner however some friends of the bartender obviously arrived about 18-20 minutes AFTER me yet they were about to order their 2nd drink and had already placed a dinner order before I even got my first drink and/or a menu!! He even took my pizza dish/plate from in front of me to give to them! Total disrespect... Such a shame as I had high expectations for this place as it was previously recommended to me. I came to The Pizzeria & sat on the outside patio on a cozy fall afternoon. Sitting outside having craft beer and wood fired pizza seemed like a picturesque evening. The pizzeria has lovely outdoor seating area for this as well as a kind, knowledgeable staff. Whoever bakes the cookies here comes up with the funnest flavors! I love them. They are always seasonally themed with whatever else is going on. The banana pudding cookie in particular was sooooooo yummy. Not to mention, the craft beer menu is extensive here. They have choices that change frequently and some consistent favorites that are always on the menu. I was excited to eat here because it's one of bae's favorite spots. This worked out well because the staff knew bae and treated us extra special. I absolutely adored the service and could come back for that alone. All the stars in this review are for the service, setting, drinks, and fresh baked cookies. But when it came to the actual pizza, this place just didn't hit for me. AT ALL! Honestly, I am still haunted by the cold, wet prosciutto mixed with the warm crispy crust of the prosciutto arugula pizza. I wish I had been warned that the prosciutto would have a nearly slimy texture from the thickness of the slices & the frigid temperature. From the listed ingredients on the menu, what arrived just wasn't what I had in mind. I thought the prosciutto would be very delicately thin-sliced with a bit of crispness. The menu never dictated that the prosciutto would be cold and just tossed on top in huge chunks like an afterthought. It ended up being a bit more like leftover cold ham from thanksgiving. I wasn't pleased at all and I would never order this again unless they modify it a bit. The low level execution of this pizza just didn't match the rest of the up leveled pizzeria vibe here. Very disappointing. Maybe paying a bit more attention to detail in the pizza menu would make this place somewhere I'd want to frequent for pizza. read more

I very rarely give 5 stars, but this was a fabulous experience. The food was amazing, the service was great, the decor was beautiful with the right amount of quirkiness. Just fabulous. My boyfriend and I shared the Baked Camberbert...perfect. Just perfect. Then we split The Ford pizza...I recommend NOT splitting it and each getting your own...it was so good, even though I wasn't hungry after all the cheese and bread, I just didn't want to share my pizza. The LePops shots are also an excellent idea! They serve a mini LePops popsicle in a shot of alcohol...brilliant and yummy! I had the Orange Creamsicle vodka shot and it was great! Second time here and it's better than before. The service is exceptional with everyone taking very good care of you. A beautifully decorated and very small restaurant that makes the most of its space. Started with the Caesar Salad and it's one of the few places you can request anchovies. The dressing is great. We then had 2 different pizzas, one being the Ford. It was spicy and very well seasoned. The prosciutto arugula was also very good. We also had the coconut cream pie and it was very good. Yesterday was my sons second birthday and we wanted to have a nice patio dinner. We have always made it a point to support locals during this time. The Pizzeria had tables available, but they wouldn't let us stay because "the customers have complained about kids being here." So, I verified today via FB messenger because I had hoped that I got the wrong information. Absolutely disappointed with how we were treated. Nice to know my 2 year old is "unwelcome" somewhere. Last night I got the Pop Supreme Pizza, with a perfectly charred crust and generous toppings. The hostess, manager or owner were inconsiderate. They initially told us we could wait to seat 7 people for a birthday, then told us to wait outside. They were told it was a birthday dinner for a young girl. They told us several times to wait outside instead of at the entry. When we attempted to wait outside, they blamed a tornado warning that wasn't even real, a heavy door and then lack of staff as reasons they wouldn't serve drinks while we waited. A man who we assumed was a manager was aggressive about moving two outside tables together because he said his tables would fall apart. After 30 -45 minutes of waiting, the manager blamed our delay on having only 1 cook. 3-4 groups of 4 people were seated and served while we waited. They later said it was a fire code violation as the reason he didn't seat us and wouldn't even give us an estimate of at seating us. Most restaurants would have moved two tables together, held the next two tables and seated us when able. They were not a only not helpful, it was apparent they wanted us to leave. We did and certainly won't be back. If I could give the service a negative 5 stars I would. read more

Had an awful experience with who I believe must have been the manager. My sister and I just finished a pedicure down the street and thought we'd step in for a drink while we had a sitter but were 9 minutes early to them opening. We saw a few guys walk in and my sister had to use the bathroom so I asked if we could come in early and was told the last 9 minutes is the most important and we could wait outside until he came and got us. I would have appreciated a slightly more friendly response especially considering the prices of this establishment. The guy's delivery was extremely rude. My husband and I loved this place before but I won't be coming back after this. I understand there are open times for a reason but customer service and polite attitudes aren't dead. I expected better and was embarrassed that I brought my sister here while she was in from out of town to be treated this way. read more

Very disappointed by the quality of pizza. We ordered the Margherita and Italian sausage pizzas. The crust was chewy and tough, the cheese was gummy and undercooked, toppings were underwhelming. We expected decent, Neapolitan style for this price. Based on their Instagram pictures, it looked like a higher quality of pizza. We will not be returning.
