Fajitas were average, chips, salsa and queso were terrible. Service was average and the ambiance was very dated.

When you click on chili rellano via Door Dash it says it comes with rice and beans. I did a pick up order one evening and when I got home no rice or beans. Called the restaurant and gentleman over the phone told me that it was Door Dash fault because they create the menu. I advised that is not the case, and would like my 2 side items. Instead of making things right he just kept saying over and over it was not their mistake. This was the better of all Mexican restaurants in town. Bad customer service is not something I'll tolerate. The fact you can't take ownership as a business is disappointing! I'll take my money elsewhere from now on. Chili relleno was also flavorless. Overall a bad experience. read more

Most of the reviews that are five stars are bot accounts, the other people giving it high reviews are confusing it for the one in seminole. Concerning our experience, the food was extremely bland and when returning one of the orders they still charged us after the complaint, will never return to this place again, and for readers I highly recommend not wasting your money. read more

We were in the area for a softball tournament and came across this restaurant. The service was quick, the staff is friendly, and the food was delicious and authentic. Not Good. Something is not right. The restaurant has very good reviews. We had dined at the Don Ciro's in Seminole and had an excellent meal there. I expected the same at the Don Ciro's in Shawnee. It was not. This Don Ciro's was all zeros. The salsas were weak. The cilantro in the salsa picante was so old that had turned dark. The chili sauce on my burrito and my wife's enchilada was watery. The enchilada was to have chicken in it; none there, just cheese. The taco nothing special. Bland beans and bland watery ground beef in the burrito. I gave up on my meal. Not recommended at all. Usually, I can find something good to say. Well, the service is fast. Bad food served fast. As a result of today's meal failure, I have been placed on temporary probation for selecting restaurants. I went in search of Menudo and they have it. It was about a 20 min wait but I will say Very worth it. They gave us a bag of chips a salsa a small queso and condiments for soup with warm tortillas. They are Very Reasonable price wise and parking is plentiful. I know we will go back to try other menu items. read more

When we walked into Don Cairo's, it has the feel of a well cared for, clean, modern cafe; we were greeted warmly and seated immediately. Tortilla chips with queso and two different salsas were brought to the table, along with nice, warm, fresh tasting tortillas -- the queso was very bland, but the salsas were nicely seasoned and when mixed with the cheese, made for a nice dip that we finished in whole. My partner ordered the fajita lunch special and I ordered carnitas; both dishes were well made and tasted nice, but what made it for me was the refried beans side dish. I am not the biggest fan of rf beans, but these had an extra flavor similar to having been boiled in an artisan beer...it was delicious! My partner was impressed with the pico de gallo having fresh cilantro and firm diced tomatoes. We felt a bit rushed, but it was the beginning of the lunch hour and the place filled up quickly. We would both recommend Don Cairo's for a quick, inexpensive, good lunch. read more

Mexican food authentic and done right. I tried their $2 street tacos, average in size with mostly cilantro on top. All three meats they offer were not greasy and while flavor wasn't mind-blowing, they were good. Al pastor was the most flavorful. Asada was finely chopped and seasoned right. Chicken was pulled and a little wet, but went very good with the salsa verde. Hard pass on the red salsa, too watery and cheap. Being a proper restaurant, you get a setup with the same watery red salsa plus queso with tortilla chips, even with takeout. Chips were pretty good, extra crunchy. Queso was just okay, a little bland. Their service was friendly. I definitely need to try more of their menu, but so far so good. read more

I first found this restaurant location in Seminole Ok, so when I was staying in Shawnee area I was happy that they had a location there as well! Food was yummy like the other location I called in an order and I was surprised when we pulled up that they have a drive thru window! Perfect for when it's cold and your lazy like me and don't want to get out lol! The staff was really friendly! The number 22 which is a torta and 2 tacos is enough to split with 2 so that's what we usually eat with a side of rice and beans! We thought we try this restaurant, I don't know how long it's been here but we've never been before. It was after the lunch rush around 2 o'clock in the afternoon, the food was really good, but was interesting that they didn't serve beer. My husband and I both were going to get a tecate with salt and lime, but they don't sell beer!! That was a deal breaker for me and I was prepared to leave but my husband wanted to stay. He probably just didn't wanna be rude to the server. However the food was really good. And if they ever serve beer I will definitely go back. The chips seemed fresh, two different kinds of salsa, plenty of queso. Tortillas and relish ! Had a wonderful lunch here yesterday. They started out slow, but within 10-minutes, the place was packed. The restaurant was quint and clean with little decor. Wewe're promptly served complimentary chips, queso, and (2) toes of salsa; standard red salsa amd a cooked (warm) salsa...all which were pretty good. Accordingly, we were offered tortillas, corn and flour. The waitstaff was attentive to drink and edible refills. For the main course, I ordered Pollo Con Chile Verde which was accompanied by rice and beans. The dish was amazing, albeit not as heavily doused in Verde sauce as I am used to. However, the Monterey Jack cheese was bountiful, the chicken perfectly cooked; moist and we'll seasoned. The Chilies were well cooked, but still had a bite of crispiness to them. I loathed the need of eating the entire platter, so I vouched for a to-go box. It was a personal love/hate/love thing.
