I received my bill with only the total amount listed. I asked for an itemized bill. That bill listed the items I was being charged for but not the amount for each charge. I immediately noticed I was being charged for services they did not perform. They did take off a small amount from my bill but not what I believe they billed me for on the original bill. They also charged me for more equipment than what they used at my home and was told false information by their estimator. The reason they gave me for my bill being so inaccurate was because they had so many jobs going on. Really?? After many phone conversations I was told no further adjustments would be made to my bill. I was made to believe we reached a price as I had another company willing to do my roof and siding for less and this company offered to match the price. I paid that price IN FULL. Then received texts telling me I owed more money. Repeatedly getting told materials are on order but would take time only to find out they are not available. Then given another quite to which my insurance used the words "extreme" To describe his pricing towards me and even with 300k in insurance coverage they said they refused to allow that price to be covered and suggested I go elsewhere. 9 months later my siding still has holes in it. I was refunded money but still have yet to find out if its enough for the siding. I was pregnant throughout this experience and going through a divorce and being transparent, then told I was an act of charity when asked why he agreed to a price then wanted to change it when paid. He left samples and materials muddy outside my house in the rain instead of handing them to me while I was home. Continued to harrass me about payment just to ultimately give me a quote the was way over any price my insurance had seen for the area. This company is a con and I plan to report them to the better business bureau and anyone else who will listen so others will not be mistreated as I was. In my 30 years of living in the FM area I have yet to experience something like this. Despicable behavior.

They had fixed some water damage to my place but it took them over 4 weeks to finish and they had…read moremissed several little things. Like not putting the cover over the sprinkler back on, putting door stops back, cleaning up, etc. The project was too big so they had to hire contractors that they never monitored and broke rules consistently (using bathrooms they weren't supposed to for example). When the project started and they were tearing out the walls, they never covered anything so all my things got covered in dust and debris. Which they never apologized for in person, just left a sticky note (that was mine and not one of theirs) saying "sorry". They had damaged my trash can and left dents in the walls, missed several spots of paint, left small holes in the walls or even entire scratches. Not to mention after everything, they did a horrible job of cleaning everything up; barely touched a thing after it was all said and done. Overall they were unprofessional, way above their heads, had horrible communication, and did very little to make up for it. If you have another choice, I would highly suggest it.

IN A TIME WHEN IT IS INCREDIBLY HARD TO…read moreFIND AND TRUST A CONTRACTOR TO DO A JOB RIGHT, ON BUDGET, AND TO BE THERE WHEN YOU NEED THEM, RICK HALVORSON CONSTRUCTION IS THE ONLY ONE TO CALL!! Recently, my family and I decided to renovate our basement instead of moving to a new home. This is something we've never been a part of and were frankly pretty nervous about. After being in our home for 11 years, we'd built enough equity to get a loan, and remodel, but we had a very specific limit on how much we could spend. So when it came time to find a contractor we wanted to make sure we picked someone who was trustworthy first and foremost, reputable, and knowledgeable. We had worked with Rick before on some improvements to windows, doors, siding, etc, through the City of Fargo Renaissance program, and so naturally he was on our short list of contractors to obtain bids from. Rick's bid was the best of the 3 that we received, and given our history with him and his business, we felt best going with him. I CANNOT STRESS ENOUGH HOW GOOD THIS DECISION WAS! The work done by Rick's crew, most notably Ryan Schuette, was so much better than we could have hoped it would be. Anytime a decision needed to be made on how to best do a particular job, it was always done the right way and not the cheapest way. There was never a concern about keeping it cheap, only doing what was best for the house, and for the client. And I can't thank them enough. Add to them their subcontractors, JDP Electric, and Magnell Plumbing. Scott from JDP was awesome, and listened to all my request for power outlet positioning, light switches, smurf tube, data lines, phone lines, everything down to the color temperature in the ceiling lights, and he made sure it was done just right. Mike Magnell from Magnell plumbing went so far above and beyond that I don't even know what to say. Example: he recognized the fact that at some point in the future we might get a fridge with water, and ice maker etc... and noticed that once the bathroom ceiling was in we'd never get a water line in, so he just ran a water line, even though it wasn't part of the bid, and that's just one of the many extra value's he provided. Rick and his team of workers, and subs are thoughtful, courteous, thorough, accurate, and precise with the work they do. Their is no notch higher than them, they are THE TOP NOTCH when it comes to this work! DO NOT hesitate to call them!
