Helped me out of a bind. I was out of town for a week. I returned home to realize I didn't have a key. Called and left a message, within a few minutes Larry called me back. He arrived at my house 10 minutes later and was able to get be inside. He was friendly through the whole experience even though it was after 8pm. Thank you so much!! read more

My Cousin went to The Lockshop. Had a great time with the staff. They were fun and just the right kind of sassy. He offered up the key and they started the work. Couple false starts and the machine was sawing away on my blank. After the key was started to get cut he asked for the cost. Turns out it was DOUBLE the other places he had called. He did protest a bit and the woman had confirmed with the supervisor that it was in fact the price. As he protested the supervisor just smiled. So, if you want to have fun at twice the price, this is your place. read more

Fast and knowledgeable. They suggested using heat shrink to color code my new spare keys and broke up a package so I only had to pay for the few heat shrinks that I needed. I never would have thought to ask about heat shrink. read more

Lost purse with driver's license and house keys in it, panicked thinking of all the locks on the house to change and how expensive it would be. One call to "The Lockshop" and panic turned into peace of mind. Larry was not only very professional but very courteous; he was able to come over that afternoon and within minutes had all our locks changed. Arrived at the business a little after 4pm to get 4 keys cut for my 2016 F150. I was promptly helped by one of the friendly locksmiths. Rich checked the keys to be sure they fit the locks in my F150 etc. I am programming the keys myself and he ran the procedure by my in case I had any questions about it. Good parking area and easy access. I will continue to do business there because it works for me. It would be nice if they are open until 5:30 pm. That is my only down side. read more

I was told he had a guy out and about just finishing a job, so he could get to me in about 20 to 25 minutes. After I decided I would call the police instead of pay 60 dollars, this guy tried to convince me that the chances of the police damaging my car was high with the make of vehicle I have, but if I DID cancel, I would STILL have to pay for something "because the guy was working over time, away from his family, and only 10 minutes away." I was already frustrated because I had to miss work to wait for his guy to show, so since I was going to be forced to pay something anyway, I decided I wouldn't cancel. I'm sorry, I shouldn't have to make a choice to pay something for a service I would have never received if I choose to cancel, and I wanted to cancel. 60 dollars would have been 2 and a half tanks of gas for the car the guy showed up in. I watched him open my car the same way the police have opened my car in the pasted. Which *surprise* didn't harm my vehicle. Also, don't advertise your a 24 hour service of you're going to make ME, the customer, feel bad for calling and you're the one over working YOUR employee. "Well 23 hour service just sounds ridiculous." That was my response. Unprofessional and rude.

Roto-Rooter is all I'd ever heard of but mostly because of their commercials, not reviews. Looking at some online experiences, people were estimating $300-$400, my jaw dropped! Instead, I first called a local company who didn't give me the time of day and was very rude so I decided against them as well. (A little side note here, I can't stand when you tell someone that you just want an estimate and when they give you one, and you say, "I'm gonna call around and get some more, thank you" they go on the defensive and start bashing every other company in town. To me, that's just childish; tell me what sets you apart from other companies in the area and be dignified about it.) Ok, back on point now... I called A-1 a little past 10:00pm and the man I spoke to (I wish I remembered his name because he was great) gave me an estimate and explained what he thought might be the issue. He answered all my questions and said he could have someone out at 8:15am the next morning. I was surprised because the last place couldn't even get me in the next day. Morning came and Tyler from A-1 showed up on time, assessed the situation and within 5 minutes, was laying down drop cloth and rolling in his machine. About an hour later, he was done and now everything drains correctly. The best part, the price I was quoted, was the price I paid! I won't give specifics, but let's say it was probably a little less than half of what I would've paid with Roto-Rooter. Bottom line, a great local company that knows how to talk to customers on the phone, show up on time, and get the job done at the price that was quoted.
