It was very clean and staff friendly. The quality of the food is a different story. I had a tostado and the flavor of the beef was not very good. We were a group of five and were seated immediately. Service was good, drink order taken and delivered in a timely manner. Pricing on the menu seemed reasonable. Chips & salsa were brought to the table. I must admit I do like the small bottles of salsa delivered to the table. I did not care for the chips, too thin and broke easily. Two in the group order Fajita's - totally not impressed. They arrived in the typical skillet but obviously they were not sizzling as if they were just cooked rather they came out like they were warmed up. Another in the group requested extra cheese sauce and when the bill arrived I noticed that there was a $4.99 charge for the sauce. Seeing how it arrived in such a small dish I was rather surprised. Not that it mattered but it would have been nice to be aware of the up-charge! Two of us selected the Speedy Gonzalez and it was tasty. However, since it was a crispy taco that needed to be eaten first or moved to sit in the rice so it didn't get soggy. Overall it satisfied the lunch urge but to me it was all mediocre. read more

Restaurant was clean and tidy, however the service was not great, the food was nasty, I got the Birra Tacos they had no flavor and the rice was mush! My son wouldn't even eat the rice with cheese and chicken. Our family will never eat there again. Quite sad but save your time and money. There is a much better Mexican restaurant in Baxter down by the O'Reillys Part Store. If I could give Don Juan's zero stars I would. read more

We have been driving buy this place since we moved to the area and decided to try it coming from ca our Mexican food standards are pretty high we know this so we ordered a street taco plate and a fajita plate which was good tacos were pretty bland we also ordered a cheese enchilada the sauce was horrible it was sweet like it was based on a spaghetti sauce! We went to Don Juan's restaurant after they opened in their new location. They had a lot more space in the new location. There were 3 of us and we all ordered different entrees. All of the food was very good, The service was excellent. We didn't have any complaints with this restaurant. We will eat here again. read more

I just left Don Juan's with 4 separate orders, 7 meals for a total of $74.72!! They decided for those separate orders I only needed one bag of chips and salsa to somehow be divided. When the lady told me it's only one bag of chips and salsa per order I began to tell her I had 4 orders not 1. She says well it's complementary and something we do not have to do. I said that's fine but when your advertising on your window and over the phone that it's a bag of chips and salsa per meal not per order, you should honor that. I told the lady I have never been to a Mexican Restaurant to where only one salsa and chips were provided for that many orders/meals! She begins to tell me to go and spend my money someplace else and slams the window in my face!! I have had multiple issues with this restaurant constantly over charging, missing food or food not being correct and not once when I've let them know about it, did they do anything!! How this place is still in business for the way they handle customer relations is beyond me. The only reason we went to this rude joke of a Mexican restaurant was because the good Mexican restaurant which actually shows you respect and know how to cook (el Cabrito) was closed!
