I brought a bow to be rehaired here last spring. The owner seemed knowledgeble-ish and his "shop"…read moreon Broadway was littered with violin parts as well as a ton of other mess. I wasn't even sure if I had gotten to the right place till he opened the door. Anyway, my bows were wrecked so I left him one for rehairing. He said it would be done in a couple weeks. After a couple weeks I heard nothing so called and left a message, and called again and again and again.... finally left a PAPER note on the door of his "shop" - looks like an old Broadway house in the middle of renovation. I think then his voice mail stopped working and no reply at all, this after a couple of months. Not even a call to say hey I'm too busy to get to your bow. I remembered that he had mentioned he recently had gotten married, the only way I tracked this guy down was googling his name and "marry", finding out who he married, and somehow google told me where her house was. So to get my bow, I drove to that house, knocked on the door........ no answer even though it looked like people were home. As I was driving away, I saw the guy walk out the side door, so I stopped my car, went back and asked him about my bow. He finally gave it to me, I am not sure if it was even rehaired or what, but I paid him and got out of there. Mr Mize needs to take some classes in how to run a business or realize when he can't do something, to call the customer and let them know he is too busy to get the work done.
