Moms Music, also known as Milfs Music, well no, but if it was, it'd be funny, right. I've only performed in Louisville twice (if my memory serves me correctly), but when on my first visit, my cord crapped out (they do that), this is where I came. They were super generous and friendly. Prices aren't dirt cheap, but they're also not ripping you off with cheap crap to the same degree as Guitar Center would. Plus it's locally owned. And I've now used crap twice in the same review, oops, make that 3 times. Anyway, it's a Mom and Pop store (can you tell by the name), and it's cute and very Kentucky-looking while having tons of stuff and super duper friendly employees. This is my go to shop in Louisville. I have had 2 guitars repaired there and they came back better than before. It is a very inviting place to go in and just play everything. A few of the guys are musicians that play live and can recommend whatever you need. If they don't have it they can order it. Yeah I can save a buck going online and ordering stuff. And I do. Took my guitar, which has a floyd rose tremolo, for new strings, setup, and intonation. Called 2 times before I went was told would be done the day I brought it in. I live an hour away so that sounded good to me. Took it in was told it would take about 45mins. Looked around the store for bout an hour and a half asked about my guitar was told it wouldn't be done today too many jobs in front of me. Called 3days later still not done hadn't even got to it yet. Called 2 days later working on it having trouble with the tremolo. On the 7th day picked up my guitar took it out of the case strummed it, not even close to being in tune. Needless to say I'll not be taking another guitar there ever again. read more
