First off, this complaint isn't a singular experience as I read in other reviews He's done this with other patients as well, and I know this because he has a review online from a person who was treated exactly as I have been treated and left for weeks without her psychiatric medication because he just doesn't care to contact you back. He got rid of his voice mail and answering service because they were getting so many calls from unhappy patients. He then said he'd only be receiving TEXT messages from now on. Well that makes it hard for my PHARMACY to contact him every few months when he screws up my medications and they're waiting on a approval for something he's been filling for five years.
This past year (September in particular) was the worst month of my life, I lost my Grandfather suddenly and then my dog of 11 years exactly two weeks after my Grandfathers passing.
Don knew I was going through a very rough mental break and I told him I needed him to call the pharmacy because of another error he'd made. I explained exactly what was wrong. He'd filled two of the same prescription, but for two different mgs.
I said he just needed to tell them the right mg prescription and that's it. Instead, he finally answered my texts and called the CVS to ask them if it was an insurance issue?
When I called back after he texted me "ALL SET!" The pharmacy said he didn't fix the issue, only asked about approval from insurance and then hung up.
When I told him this, he insinuated I was lying and:
"Not so. Ask her to playback phone call.
It seems appropriate for you to seek another provider. You seem displeased with my service.

I WONDER WHY I am displeased with your services?! I've caught him in multiple lies through the years, had to seem like a crazy person for texting him and texting him to keep him ontop of my scheduling/medication/communication about changes in appointments etc.
He acts like a child in very emotional and rough moments and doesn't take any real accountability for the harm he does to his patients lives. We rely on psychiatric medication to get us through an already difficult world, and make it a little more bearable for us to get through the day.
But this last month sent my acceptance of this insurmountable amount of disregard for my well-being and psychiatric help into another atmosphere.
I was grieving so deeply with my losses and my already difficult life with multiple health issues (being disabled with Crohns and fibromyalgia and having PTSD and bipolar and anxiety disorder), I had gone into a deep depression.
I had to scramble and get my primary to fill my psychiatric medication (this is not the first time they've had to do this because of Don.) This was extremely stressful for me as well. Not knowing if I could get this all done in time to get my medicine I needed that night.
After Don told me I was lying about the pharmacist, she told me that he didn't seem very determined to fix the issue and that he didn't ask them about any other issues. She said it seemed weird knowing that I was so panicked about it.

FOURTEEN DAYS LATER. Two weeks.
To leave a panicked, grief stricken patient who was unsure he'd even fill her medications in the dark about ANYTHING. And luckily I called, and called, and called everywhere until I finally found a new place and Doctor.
When I tell anybody about this man, and his TEXT ONLY run business dealing with peoples psychiatric help and medicine prescribing, their only response is complete and utter shock. And can you blame them?
I just don't think this man should be practicing to be completely honest. He at least he needs to be reprimanded and take accountability about the fact that he is PLAYING WITH REAL, VULNERABLE lives, and their psychiatric states. read more
