The second time they gave false information to our current insurance provider, telling them that we had another insurance policy. This caused our current provider to reject coverage from every single healthcare provider since. We are on the hook for more than $1000 of care which was previously covered until Missoula Pediatric Dentistry's front desk misinformed our insurance provider. Not to mention the front desk is relentless in badgering my wife and I about whatever they need. Unless you pay 100% out of pocket I strongly recommend that you seek care from someone else.

Usually after checking in, we are called back within five minutes. The staff for the most part is friendly. There hav we been a couple dental assistants over the years who didn't seem like a children's dentist office was the right fit for them if you know what I mean. There are multiple dentists here but you can choose to have your child see the same one at every visit. The entire clinic is clean and spacious, with plenty of room for both parents to go back. The office is decorated in fun colors and characters. In each room there is a television above the chair so your child can watch while they are getting their check-up. They also give them sunglasses and headphones to wear during it. I definitely recommend them if you are looking for a dentist for your children. They really do have it all here and my kids have always looked forward to their appointments. They definitely cater towards kids and it shows!

The forms were minimal but comprehensive and I appreciated the low environmental impact of their intake forms. Michele was very friendly and very helpful with breaking down how my insurance is used. Paula was my next contact, she got me hooked up with x-rays and ready for my cleaning. Paula was friendly and engaging. I always get anxious going into the dentist, so having friendly staff goes a long way with me as it eases my anxiety. I had the pleasure of working with Dr. Austin Erler. A mayor procedure was planned, involving Dr. Olsen from Smile Missoula, as well as dental surgeon Dr. Holtzen and anesthesiologist Dr. Ochs both from the Cosmetic Arts Center, Missoula. I have epilepsy. All doctors involved were fully briefed and assured me their experience in working with people with epilepsy. Turned out that Dr. Ochs was absolutely not prepared to work with me. He refused anesthesia while I was sitting in the waiting room, all prepped for surgery. All was cancelled even though I had followed each and every step necessary to make the procedure a success. While the surgeon's office refunded the entire amount of my prepaid fees, Dr. Olsen thinks it's justified to keep part of my money for preparatory work. He charged me instead those responsible for the cancellation: Dr. Ochs! Dr. Holtzen! The Cosmetic Arts Center!
