We made adjustments about a week before according to our RSVPs. They delivered everything and set up the tents the day before. Everything went off perfectly. Since they are closed Sundays (and didn't charge us for it because of this fact) they came back and picked up everything on Monday, after my wife and I had already gone back home. It could've been a real nightmare for us having this all happen without us being around, but RT&E was professional, helpful, and took care of everything we needed. We could not be happier with the whole event.

For the rate, i would recommend looking elsewhere. When we were leaving we were harassed by a homeless individual that caught us off guard due to not being able to see him walk towards us. Chairs uncomfortable and not sturdy if you have guests over 240#. Bathrooms were clean with supplies which is why i have it two stars. Very disappointed.

I was told I would receive the check-in information the night before the event but the morning of I still had nothing. We called and texted MANY times and had no response. Nobody answered until we reached out via social media and finally got a response 13 minutes before check-in time. 53 minutes later we finally got into the building because on top of everything (and trying to think of a plan B) the keypad battery was dead. We allotted for 2 hours of setup before the party started which would have been perfect timing but as guests arrived we were still working and super stressed. Guests who arrived on time even started helping us. At the end of everything we asked for a partial refund and there was no response. My family and I will not be renting this event house again and I wouldn't recommend it for anyone else.

The booking process was easy and completed via e-mail. This aspect was handy as I didn't have to leave the house or make a phone call on a busy day. The gentleman I spoke to answered all of my questions during the booking process. On the day of the party, we showed up a few minutes early to put up some decorations. A waitress and waiter came and greeted us right away. The owner even came by, promptly, and introduced himself to me. The kindess and professionalism was outstanding. Our waitress (I wish I remembered her name! I feel terribly that I can't provide it.) did an outstanding job! We were a big group of people and she took all of our orders, answered questions, and helped us with anything we needed. I hope it can be determined who worked that day so she can be given her kudos as she was lovely! Lastly, the kitchen staff did a great job getting our food out in a timely manner. I was impressed by their speed and the food was delicious. As the restaurant was busy, we didn't have a chance to say thank you one final time before we left. So, thank you again, Woody's! You guys made the party enjoyable and easy for us. We felt we could take a step back and enjoy our daughter's day! :)

The Sheraton Redding is a wonderful hotel in a great location. They are located near the…read moreSacramento River by the Sundial Bridge and next to the Turtle Bay Exploration Park. The McConnell Arboretum and Garden is a quick walk over the Sundial Bridge. Tickets are available to the events at the McConnell Arboretum. During the winter, they do have holiday lights. During our summer visits, they had lantern of various shapes. We made reservations for a 2 queen room. They gave us what we reserved. It had a view of the Turtle Bay Exploration Park (not much to see from our room). The queen beds were comfortable. The bathroom for our 2 queen room had a tub and shower. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash were the Sheraton special. It was good enough for a one night stay. They do have a fitness room with cardio equipment and weights. It is sufficient for getting a workout in. This hotel does have a lounge for Platinum and above members. Non-alcoholic beverages like soda and water are complimentary. Alcohol is available for a fee. Evening appetizers were typical of Sheraton's. They only had a cheese plate. No dinner like at Marriott's. Breakfast offerings were a little better than the evening appetizers with scrambled eggs and bacon. The Sheraton was a good hotel that gave me a good night sleep.

It was not large and should have been for the price. But it was super clean and very comfortable. Redding does not have a lot of choices and I think the Sheraton knows this and if you don't want to be in a 2 star hotel, you have little choice. The pool was great and it was a hot day so we used it. They have a 24 hour business center which is fine and I needed it. The eatery is just fine, not great. But you will find something you want. This silliness about no one use straws drives me nuts. I actually use a straw so get me one. They have valet or self parking for a fee. They have one nice bar and that is all one needs. I would not stay here for days, but for a couple of days it was fine, just too much money. The outside is super pretty and the lobby is great. I think this place is new and that is great.

From the first contact with the Stirring, Tim the venue manager was incredibly helpful, prompt in his replies and willing to do what ever was needed to make the space perfect for the event. During set up, Tim was there with his team hanging décor for us and making sure we had all the tables and chairs we needed. They were all very helpful and gracious to work with. Our caterer was thrilled with the kitchen access. The café area was the perfect place to hang out away from the loud music and dancing. The kids LOVED the way it looked and felt. It was a huge hit and is now the hottest new prom venue in town. From an event planners point of view, The Stirring is easy and fun to work with. I will be doing more events there in the future! So I told Gwen that I would be more comfortable just doing "day of" coordination. And she said "i really prefer to work with my brides from day one. I will do that anyway." and she gave me her price.. I almost choked. It was so affordable! And she was on EVERYTHING. Emailing me updates with all of my vendors, finding me vendors that I couldn't get to, just truly gave me sanity during such a crazy time. My wedding day was so smooth. Gwen was on top of everything. At no point did I get stressed out that anything was going wrong because I trusted that Gwen had handled it all. She has such a creative and aesthetic eye. I knew that once the wedding was over, I would miss working with Gwen. Gwen, thank you so much for making my big day so spectacular. All of my guests told me that my wedding looked and felt like a million bucks even though we were very price conscious!
