Today's experience was just disappointing at this location. The person that welcomed me in was clearly unhappy to be helping me from the start. She asked what I was looking for and I told her a specific pair of jeans that I had been waiting to come back into stock. I had been notified by text they had them so when I told her that's what I was there for she rolled her eyes and walked away without another word. I feel the staff at this location are often less helpful if I look "less put together" when I shop here. It'd be nice to not feel judged by what I'm wearing/whether I am wearing make up etc.... I was just running errands and definitely regretted stopping by for a quick shop.

They carry…read moreLOTS of women's clothing in various sizes and styles and always have a large selection of jeans. Clothing is high quality so expect the price tag to reflect that. They also sell accessories like affordable jewelry from local artisans, unique scarves, shoes/boots/sandals and even an assortment of wonderful hand creams and candles that smell so good! I had to buy a pitchuli scented candle because it reminded me of my youth and I used up the one I bought two years ago. Like any store, some of the clothing works for me and some doesn't. We all have to know our own bodies and what fits best. What I really like about Adorn is that they have a variety of styles - they know women's bodies come in a variety of shapes and we can't all wear the same styles! In addition to cloths, they have shoes, sandals, hats, jewelry, candles, soaps & lotions and even a few handbags. Inventory is always changing and at the end of every season, they have fantastic sales, like 50% off. Because I've had good experiences, when I see an Adorn boutique in any of the Portland neighborhoods, I stop in.

She showed me how to style some of the pieces I chose & took the time to talk me through how to create a few different looks. Aiden (I hope I'm getting that right!) also helped me find THE perfect denim options, a real fit expert she even helped me find my true size! Both of these ladies were so lovely. I generally don't enjoy trying on clothes, but they really made it enjoyable. They gave me honest opinions on some looks, unlike most places that try to sell you on every single thing; they were focused on what worked best for me. Loved my time with these two & the pieces I left with. I know I'll wear everything, they won't just sit in my closet because I feel really comfortable & know how to style them. I was not able to view the size or price tags without having to fish for them and pull it out so I could see. I found it annoying when shopping since buying clothes is the main goal. It is not an art exhibit. Maybe they do not know what it is like to be short and not able to easily view the tags. It is amazing how are unaware people people are of size differences. Yes, you can set your store up however you want. Just not every one will find it user friendly.

I have bought 4 sweaters, 3 blouses, 2 bracelets, pair of tights, capris and 1 scarf. My husband did buy me some earrings but they weren't my style so nicely exchanged. All the store owner (Pat) did was say "sorry babe."…read more I got her number from a fellow store owner in the neighborhood and got Pat to open her store on on the day they were closed and she said my card wasn't anywhere, but when she opened the register and thought I wasn't looking, she reached in and took out my card, all surprised. Problem was, I saw that there were several other credit cards in the register as well, right next to mine. I haven't bought anything since. Now I get why she was so nonchalant about trying to help me get my card back. The only one I have, BTW. A lack of compassion and ethics. If you come here, don't use any cards.

I didn't see one that I wanted. I also noticed that there were a few items that might fit my brother's wife... but,... weren't in her desired style of dress (she wears career wear mostly). Maybe there's a person in your life who might enjoy the items for sale inside Rebelles. I walked here from a nearby location with Schmoopie. He's been back to this neighborhood a few times with other relatives of his... but, he didn't buy me anything. I was asked if I knew about the return policy for items. I replied if it's like the return policy at any of the women's boutiques in downtown then yes... I do know about it. There as a person who walked into this location when I walked out... but I didn't know about the theft in this neighborhood before. I have been walking in this neighborhood between about 2010 and 2014. So I probably stopped in between those years. Schmoopie said he likes that location. I did ask if there was another location further out in SE Portland, Oregon. I didn't know that there wasn't enough staff to keep the store open later in the evenings some afternoons. For the price point(s) everything inside seemed on par with the women's boutiques in the downtown core. I recommend you bring your friend who liked rings, or bohemian clothes.
