Tony provided impeccable service and explanations and Antonio, the chef, even came to the table multiple times to deliver his works of art cuisine. They do offer gluten free and vegetarian options but not together. There is a tasting option with 7 courses or à la carte. They do take a deposit of $120 per person 3 days before your reservation in case you cancel. The restaurant is centrally located and easy to get to. You have to ring the bell to enter. They take your coat after you sit at the table. The decorations are of the 12th century applied arts. I had to order à la carte due to being a vegetarian and GF but my friend ordered from the tasting menu. The food and service were wonderful. We both ordered a glass of wine - I had the moscato. They have GF bread that was brought to the table. It was also made with the bruschetta. For my courses, I had the omelette with broccoli, pumpkin GF pasta, buffalo cheese with tomato under lemon leaves, a palate cleanser of strawberry ice cream, and chocolate mousse. We even got to try their Michelin best dessert of 2026 which was the lemon soufflé. It was decadent and delicious. We even had a tour of the kitchen to see the artwork on the ceiling. My brother took it upon himself to order the huge seafood bisque...we also ordered a couple bottles of wine for the table and I had a Hugo Spritz. It was really amazing. The view was unbelievable. I would be blessed to come back to this restaurant. If you're coming off the beach in your swimming make sure to have a cover up. They may tell you to put your clothes on if not.

Up until this meal, every restaurant we had visited was excellent. This was, without question, the most disappointing dining experience of our trip. I have traveled extensively around the world and have enjoyed incredible food as well as meals that simply weren't my favorite. Even when I haven't loved a dish, I've usually finished it. This was different. I ordered the grilled seafood, which included king prawns and squid. I didn't eat either of them because the calamari was so tough that my knife could barely cut through it. If I couldn't cut through it with a knife, why would I subject my teeth (that years of orthodontics worked so hard to perfect) to chewing it? The dish was also incredibly bland. My friend's pasta wasn't even close to al dente. It was simply not enjoyable. The food was disappointing, but what made the experience truly unacceptable was the way I was treated. When I explained why I wasn't going to continue eating my meal, the host told me that I didn't know what fresh seafood tastes like and implied I didn't understand how fresh food should be prepared. I've eaten fresh seafood in many countries, and freshness does not excuse toughness or a complete lack of seasoning. Even Ratatouille himself would have jumped into the kitchen and added some seasoning. To then ask if I wanted to order something else after dismissing my concerns felt insincere. Why would I want more food after all of our food was disgusting and clearly I do not know what fresh seafood taste like? If there were a Michelin category for bland food and poor customer service, this place might finally earn a mention. Getting to the Amalfi Coast from the United States--or from almost anywhere--isn't a quick or inexpensive trip. People save, plan, and work hard for the opportunity to experience this beautiful destination. When you finally arrive, you hope for wonderful food, warm hospitality (insert sarcasm), and memorable experiences. Unfortunately, Lido Azzurro delivered none of those. The scenery around Amalfi is breathtaking, but this restaurant was the biggest disappointment of our visit.

The smokiness from the wood oven made it possibly the most delicious bread I can remember eating. No butter. No olive oil. Just delicious. We would have loved to have tried a few of the pasta dishes that looked delicious, so our recommendation for a couple is to get a pizza and a pasta and share them. The salads also looked fresh and large. As many places in Italy, there a fee to sit at the restaurant and be served. 8 euro for both of us. The next day when waiting for our ferry ride, we popped into a pizzeria and grabbed another pizza diavola to go...what a let down. The pizza at buca di bacco was within a euro or two in price and 100% better. If you haven't had a good pizza in Italy and find yourself in Capri, at least grab one or two of their pizzas to go and eat them near the ocean overlook. Don't forget the chili flakes You will be quite content.
