Great service, amazing food. Small establishment, it seats about 25 people. The kitchen is visible from the dinning room. All dishes were delicious, the simplicity and freshness of ingredients made this an unforgettable dinner. When in Salerno you must come by!

Very sweet dessert

Chose because other place we wanted to go wasn't open yet for lunch. Got fried shrimps and calamari to start. Calamari was great! Shrimp weren't peeled so didn't love them (maybe an American thing). After that had spaghetti alla carbonara after and it was a huge portion and was good. Asked for natural water and got a glass bottle from Ikea that looked like it had been filled from spout but tasted fine. Also got half litre of red wine and that was delicious. For dessert we asked the waitress to bring two of her favorites. Was way too sweet for me but the girl with me finished. Served complimentary lemomcello.

Now this is true Italian food! We happened upon this small, family-owned restaurant hidden in a beautiful alley while shopping, and thank goodness we did. The servers were wonderful, gracious, and prompt, and the pasta was to die for. It was fresh, al dente, and extremely flavorful. They also brought us red pepper oil! We haven't been able to find that anywhere. I got the trofie with pesto and clams, my mom got the paccheri with pumpkin flowers and shrimps, and my dad got orecchiette with courgette and shrimps. Every dish was exquisite! We finished the meal off with a wonderful tiramisu and pear and ricotta cake. The cake was a little sweet for me, but the tiramisu was truly perfect. We'll probably be back again tomorrow!

Top spot in Salerno! Simple menu but watch for creative combinations like trofie with pesto and clams. House wine served in half liter carafe. Don't leave without a slice of original recipe: sete vele (seven layer) Chocolate Cake. Sit in the little vicollo and listen to the accordianists who walk by.

Heads up! The stars are for the service, not so much the food! This was our first meal out in Salerno and had awesome reviews so we had to give it a try! This place is Lacoste's a little off the main strip in Salerno in a back alley, where the restaurant and its tables are found. The ambient lighting made it feel cozy even though we were outside. Our waitress was amazing. My boyfriend ordered an octopus appetizer, (I didn't eat it because I'm not a big fan) and found it hard to eat since it was cold and he wasn't expecting it. We ordered an asparagus pasta and a seafood pasta. We didn't really enjoy it, I think mostly due to the al dente nature of pasta. (We found out after this meal we don't like pasta cooked al dente. We like it cooked all the way.) we ate some of it but left a lot of it untouched. Our waitress came back and knew we didn't like it, asked if we did and we insisted that we were just full. If you like authentic, fresh and al dente pasta, this place is for you! Sadly, my boyfriend and I didn't like it; however it doesn't mean it's bad, it just didn't suit our taste. After the meal, she brought out a bottle of limoncello and cream meloncello on the House. It was so good! And a nice gesture after the whole meal. We had problems with our card working so she was patient while my boyfriend looked for an atm and was able to ring us up afterwards. The food wasn't great, but the service definitely made up for it. Not sure if I'd come back, but definitely give this place a try

I came here twice during my stay. Both times I was not disappointed. The tiramisu and melon-cello were homemade and deliciousness.

Not good. Lovely service but food wasn't good. Pasta covered in congealed oil and tuna from a can.

Underwhelming. Anglianico wine was great but food was just average. Plenty of other spots worth hitting.

Having been in Italy for a fortnight we were getting a bit tired of pizza & pasta & variations thereof, and were pleasantly surprised by the fish restaurant. The twist with the restaurant is that there is no menu & you are only served what they catch that morning. We had an appetiser menu consisting of marinated anchovies, octopus in a tomato sauce with polenta, seared tuna, croquette with octopus. It was fantastic. In regards to cost we also had two 1/2 Ltrs of house white wine (the choice is only red or white) & total cost was €50. I cannot recommend it enough, if you are a fish lover, go.

Very kind and sincere owner and waiter, which we appreciate very much. Accommodating with the kids…read morefinickyness. The gnocchi sorrentina was one of the best I've had while living in Italy. The house wine was ok but priced accordingly. They didnt have coffee available for the end of the meal which was surprising. The fish of the day and pasta were very good and not overpriced. My only complaint is that when we ordered the appetizer of the house (antipasti della casa) it is in the menu as "antipasti della casa (5 portions) 13euro" we ordered this, he asked how many portions 4?, 5? We repeated yes the 5. The appetizer was very nice, but when the bill came it was 65 euro for it. In other words they charged 13 euro per portion, not per appetizer, as it is written of course in the menu. This was pretty shocking as it was good but absolutely overpriced and very misleading, though I don't feel they were trying to be dishonest.
