I asked if we could sit on the porch and she just shrugged and walked off. This hotel needs a good cleaning. The porches which should have been inviting at this time of year were fifty. The carpet in our room was worn and dirty and our shower had mold in it. We stayed the entire weekend and had breakfast and supper there. The breakfast was really good and the suppers were okay but not what would expect at Red Boiling Springs. The other two historic hotels appeared to be much better. We did the entire spa which was one vibrating bed and one heat bed and a mineral bath in footed bathtubs. It was very pleasant and relaxing. After this the hosts were more polite and seemed to be happier than when we arrived. I do not recommend it.

If a nice, well thought out, and creatively presented breakfast is a must for you, you will definitely want to look elsewhere. We are here for 3 nights and the breakfast is always the same. You have your choice of up to 4 small waffles or 1 large waffle. You can then choose from Orange or Apple juice. At the next stop, you may choose between fruit loops cereal or Post Raisin Bran. You will then find a basket of red apples, with the store sticker still on them (indicating they have not been washed). For the last stop, the offerings are banana/strawberry or peach flavored yogurts. It's like Ground Hog day, the same offerings day after day. We chose not to utilize housekeeping (we just swapped out our towels), but the same guy running the breakfast is the housekeeper as well. One last thing about the room. There are no drawers, but any place you might put your clothes is open. There is a nice closet with nice looking doors for hanging pieces. They do have morning coffee in the lobby, and coffee shops are available nearby. All shopping needs are close by. Rooms have a microwave and small fridge. Check-in is available 24 hours/day.
