I had a great experience with the service center. Donahoo did not sell me the Blazer, but when I called to ask for maintenance, they penciled me in no questions asked. On the day of my appointment, they took my car in immediately for service. They told me it would take about an hour and a half and they completed timely. When I went out to pick up my car, they had run it through the wash for me which I thought was super awesome! My service rep had a smile on his face and was super kind. I worked with one salesperson, told him I had my own financing, etc. He was not at the dealership the day I had planned with HIM on picking up my car. I was given a salesperson who looked me up in their system and started asking me for a down payment, asking me if I had completed the finance application, etc. He knew NOTHING about my dealings with the first salesperson. I was there to see the final paperwork, give them a check, and pick up my car. The first salesperson I worked with received the commission from my purchase and has yet to even thank me for my purchase or even reach out to make sure everything went ok. Also, this thing about making a deposit. They tell you it's a deposit, but what it is is a scam for them to take your cash. If you work with them on purchasing a vehicle and FOR WHATEVER REASON you choose not to or can't make the purchase, they charge you $500 for their time. Is that even legal? I have driven from atlanta and, over the past, 6 years, have bought 3 vehicles from Donohoo. The last one, a 2023 Chevrolet Trailboss has a faulty transmission light that comes on and off. I took it in for repair and was told it was a communication problem only and because the warning happened to go off on the way to the shop, he couldn't fix it. He said very difficult to pinpoint the problem. I grew fed up with it and contacted Donohoo. They had a know nothing salesperson call me, named Jamey. I had hoped recieve a discounted price on a trade in, to get rid of the lemon. He informed the before they would trade the vehicle they sold me, I would have to a garantee that is was repaired. WHAT? its under warranty, fix it after trade in. I expained that I needed it for work and was told by Chevrolet it would take time to pinpoint it. He said maybe I could drive 3 hours to drop it off and maybe they could fix it. I asked about a loner truck while they worked on it. He said he would have the service dept call me. That was 3-4 months ago. He texts me today to say: Franklin, this is Jamey with Donohoo. I know I was unable to earn your business but I wanted to see if you knew of anyone that might be in the market? Unless they make this right, I will never go there again. I recently initiated business with Donohoo Chevrolet. I requested a quote, speaking directly with the Service Manager (SH). The scope of work was a upgrade accessory, front bumper/grill guard. Entering in to the reason I chose Donohoo first? 1. wanted to support my local economy. 2. Chevrolet dealership would be the MOST professional choice. I had an expectation of a dealership meeting and/or exceeding any non-dealership service. 3. The computer system on my 2024 GMC 2500HD Sierra AT4. I found the quote to be a little low initially, but whom am I to question the professional. I made an assumption-they have a massive inventory and by all accounts, do thousands of accessory upgrades. I had the parts shipped directly to the dealership. I had asked for the receiving dept. to do a quality control review of delivery. Fortunately for me there wasn't any shipping damages, but at this moment, my eyebrow raised a bit on their lacking of good professional standards. In agreeing to the terms of the quote and one week timetable, I dropped off my vehicle at 0800 on the scheduled date for the work to begin. Initial work timetable was extended by double, and I hadn't called service department to inquire, I again assumed, the dealership was doing their best to provide me with the utmost in satisfaction. I clearly understand the cliché of assume. Yet, I have never assumed, I'd go to a dentist and end up having my big toe amputated. As I never made the assumption, that I would go to a certified Chevrolet Dealership Service Department to have my NEW vehicle butchered. Upon picking up my vehicle, I was in a rush and conducted a quick onceover. Found a few discrepancies that frustrated me, but I overlooked them and accepted without discussion. Then I drove to the local farm supply and loading goods in rear seating area, I raised the seat and found a softball size area if the carpet shredded. Then I started looking - Deficiencies are as follows: I wish I could post pictures. 1. Rodent shredded carpet under rear passenger seat. 2. Factory Bumper (NEW) Damaged when shoved into truck bed on bed liner surface 3. Factory Hardware - Individual nuts, bolts, screws, washers, etc. ALL thrown loosely into pickup bed. 4. Engine Bay - AIr intake baffle Damaged, Removed and never reinstalled. 5. Bumper Mounted 12,000 lb winch - Installed 180 degrees backwards 6. Rather than wiring fog lamps to factory fog lamp wiring and factory switch - drilled holes (uneven) on interior panel. 7. Cut wheel well fenders - 8 inches high - exposing engine bay & overall just looked like work was done by a hack. 8. Electrical wires not secured and turned around (running over) sharp edges and hardware. 9. Grill clip connectors - barely connected or not at all fastened as designed 10. Service Technicians leaving personnel belonging and tools on floor and wedged in leather seat crevices. 11. One of my main purposes of choosing certified dealership - parking sensors - Still not working. I had multiple conversation's, with low level management, about he deficiencies of the work and the damage. I requested to speak with the CEO or the GM. Both of whom declined any of my communication attempt's, nor had any interest in what I had to say anyway. I gave Donohoo a second chance to correct the listed deficiencies. Donohoo declined any and all responsibility for damages incurred while my vehicle was in their possession. This is where things enter into a certain level of character, both professionally and individually. Sure, Donohoo ordered and replaced the wheel well inner fender, interior console was replaced, fog lamps wired into where they should of been to begin with - into the FACTORY foglamp wire and switch. Mounted the winch around to its proper orientation - left wiring with hard bends and poor routing against damage and chaffing - as it was when Donohoo routed wired for incorrect placement. Didn't restore factory bumper to original condition. As a bonus: battery hold down bar was left off and laying in the windshield washer tray. Parking sensors no longer function - and adding on as well as side sensors. I left a voicemail for the General Manager to contact me about this... and that was 2 weeks ago and haven't had any response. Its not that mistake's were made, it's a matter of professional accountability and willingness to resolve problems with a consumer. It's clearly obvious that Donohoo Chevrolet will gladly smile and take money when things are easy, yet when the subject isn't so easy or savory, they'll avoid and ignore. I could go on and on with the conversations I had with lower management, service manager, service technician manager. Actions speak louder than words, pictures are worth a thousand words. I wouldn't allow Donohoo Chevrolet to as much as add windshield washing fluid to my vehicle. Buyers beware. read more

I recently purchased a vehicle from Donohoo Chevrolet. I saw it on Carfax and that led me to their site. The salespeople and staff answered my questions promptly. In their cooperation with Carfax, I was able to do all necessary research on this vehicle from home. I live in Georgia and they're located in Alabama, however, they delivered the vehicle to me and I was able to do all the paperwork in my driveway. I paid by check and as soon as my check cleared, they sent me the title and all necessary paperwork quickly via FedEx. Since this was an out of state purchase, the paperwork was a little different than that with which I was familiar. However, their business staff had all the paperwork assembled, labelled, and explained. This was one of the most efficient car purchases that I've made.....and I did it all from home thanks to Donohoo Chevrolet. read more

Terrible place to do business. They put a transmission in my son's car. Supposedly, it was new. My son paid for a new one but 2 months later, the transmission goes out. They did not stand by their work. They did not offer to even look at it. You would think it would have been under warranty, so be careful of what your signing at this place. Guess what didn't happen nearly 4 months later get a call from Jamey Carson said truck failed quality they had 700 that failed so he tells me to pick another truck sends me link to other trucks I pick one and a few weeks later I ask what's the estimate on the truck I sent him he text me back and says. From the internet search to signing the papers, by far, this was the easiest vehicle buying experience. I live in ATL, so I was a little skeptical venturing out to Alabama just to get nickel and dimed. Jamey Carson made sure that did not happen. Both Tahoes I showed interest in were parked out front, gassed up, and ready for me to take a solo test drive. I wasn't circled by the "sharks" when I arrived; everything was on my time, and I truly appreciated that since I'm pretty thorough. The price on the internet is the price I paid for my Tahoe, not including a few other discounts they threw in. I was given a fair trade in value for my explorer, and was able to get exceptional financing from Donohoo. Amber got me in and out signing paperwork which only took 5 min. Lastly, Aleshia was very thorough and helpful in guiding me through the OnStar process before I left the lot. She had a great personality and showed she loved her job. We found a car for our niece on the web site. I messaged about the price since we were trying to get as low as possible for our niece. I was told by Wesley that was bottom line. So I responded just to see if it was BOTTOM line since the car fax report showed it had TWO repairs done to the body with one being a rear end collision. I got no response. I called the dealership and was told Wesley was working from home, she would send him a message. Three hours later no response. I need to know something because the credit union was working on the loan for me. I could get all the information on the website that I needed except final pricing. So, I called the dealership and asked to speak to a sales person. The girl transferred me to JAMIE. Jamie was not at interested in helping me. He told me they sale 174 cars a month and that how they do business. I was so shocked. CRAP, what a idiot... I was in return not very nice. I said I under were stand this is not a big sale so he did not want to waste his time with me. I was PISSED at this point.My husband and I have looked at two separate vehicles with them and We ended up buying our Tahoe from Bob Hembree and our Z71 from Chevrolet of Boaz(both fabulous dealerships) and YES we checked out their used inventory FIRST!!!. The only reason we go to different dealerships is for sometimes they have the features we are looking for. I understand about pricing and how it's usually etched in stone, but on used cars no way. I did call and speak with the sales manger, a very nice lady. I forgot her name. She was nice and very apologetic. Jamie definitely does not need to be working with customers. Their vehicles are cosmetically appeasing however 24hrs after a friend of mine bought a used 2011 Chevy SUV with less than 100,000, the doors would lock and unlock (while driving) the windows attempted to roll down or they would not roll down and the motor was revving up RMPs without her accelerating. She called immediately and they asked if she could bring it back. She lives out of town so her next off day she made the trip back to the dealership. They informed her then that the transmission was going out and that it would cost her $1300.00 to fix. This dealership has not offered to repair the vehicle nor have they offered her another vehicle that is similar they are also refusing to do a payment plan with her (unknown expense) so that she can have the vehicle repaired and make the 3hr drive home safely. I would NOT recommend anyone buying a vehicle from this place. They do NOT stand behind the value (or lack thereof) of the vehicles they sale. Any vehicle you you purchase (especially a 2011) should be safe and driveable for more than a few hours after the sale. read more

My wife and I were shopping for a new Tahoe. We visited the dealership in Chattanooga where we bought our 2008 Tahoe and got a quote. I saw Donohoo Chevy online and the pricing appeared much better. I printed off three quotes and we drove down for a visit. We showed the salesman the quotes we had. They pulled those vehicles around and told us to take a drive in each. No salesman road with us which was nice. They could not have been more accommodating. We chose one of the cars and discussed the pricing and trade in. The final price was thousands of dollars less than we were quoted at home. We bought the vehicle. The general manager, business manager, the salesman and the woman who explained all the features were all excellent. ONE MONTH LATER, we got a letter from the dealership. Inside was what appeared to be a check, but we thought it was just a sales promotion. I called the business office to be sure. The woman told me that the $3,000 was a rebate that they found that we were eligible for!!! Unbelievable!!! We could not believe the treatment we received. I get my Tahoe serviced at Donohoo due to my new found loyalty. Service has been great too. We are in our 60's and have never had a car buying experience as great as we had at Donohoo Chevrolet. We spoke to someone by phone prior to coming in as we were coming in from out of town & making a long drive in. The salesman didn't really seem interested in selling us the car. He was overly matter of fact bordering on rude. The manager or finance manager never took the time to come out and say hello or try to earn our business. We are serious buyers with excellent credit and I felt as if we were talking about a video game and not a car. Granted we're perhaps spoiled with our superior service from our Mercedes & Infinity dealers, but this by far was the worse dealership we've visited.l ever. The attitude did not express any basic level of customer service we'd expect when buying a car. Don't waste your time here, especially if driving in from elsewhere. You won't even be offered a glass of water. We're not white - I'm not sure what was triggering his poor body language & poor attitude. I won't even try to guess on this one. read more
