Orlando Appliance Repair was one of those companies. Upon calling, the customer service rep put me in touch with their field-rep, Igor. I described the problem and he planned to show withing two hours or less ... on a Sunday afternoon! My refrigerator came back online and I contacted Igor to make him aware and cancel my appointment. He understood and just simply cancelled my appointment without fuss or cost. It has been very frustrating dealing with this company. I purchased a part for my Viking range hood…read moreback in January, and because it was on backorder, the repair process has dragged on for almost four months. Unfortunately, communication throughout this experience has been very unclear. At one point, I was told the range hood would need to be repaired outside of the countertop area to avoid damaging the quartz counters during reinstallation. I repeatedly called to check on the status of the parts, only to later learn that one of the parts had actually been lost in the office and needed to be reordered, creating even more delays. On the morning of the scheduled service appointment (between 8:30-10:30 AM), the technician called and asked whether the hood had already been uninstalled. This was surprising because based on previous conversations with customer service, I believed the issue was reinstalling it safely, not removing it. I had already arranged for someone to help reinstall it because I understood they could not handle that portion due to insurance restrictions. It seems there are many aspects of the repair they will not handle, which means I now have to pay separately for someone to uninstall and reinstall the hood. At this point, I'm questioning what level of service I'm actually receiving beyond reconnecting the motherboard and components. I believe there are companies with more comprehensive service capabilities that could manage the entire project from start to finish. They are supposed to return once I coordinate timing with my handyman. I have voiced my concerns and hope this situation will finally be resolved soon. I will update my review once everything is completed.
