We are driving across the country with our RV on our way home to Nevada and had a flat tire on the trailer, about an hour outside of Abilene. We spent the night in Abilene and first thing in the morning pulled into Don's Tire Shop to replace the tire. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes, great service at a reasonable price. I commute 30 miles each way for my job, and I spend a fair amount of each work day driving; I put my car and tires through quite a rough life. In the spirit of shopping local I chose Don's tire. At a cost of over $240/tire, when I was not offered I mistakenly assumed it was included. After a large piece of metal ruined a tire with plenty of life left I was not happy to learn that I would be paying full price for a replacement. When I asked Don if it is company policy to NOT offer road hazard he informed me that I could have asked and he spoke down to me in a misogynist tone, I have rarely received such demeaning treatment. I will happily take my business to large corporate dealerships where I receive better, respectful treatment. read more

These guys way over charge. Went in to get some lugs tightened (took maybe a minute) and was charged over $20. Never again.

Recently blew a tire on I-70, And contacted Don's Tires for roadside assistance. Dakota, came within 15 minutes and was very knowledgeable and professional. While traveling cross country, I wore out my front brakes. I called this business while on the road and explained my situation. I told them I would be spending the night in Abilene and asked if they could help first thing in the morning. They asked if I could be there at 8am. They had me back on the road in an hour. We took our tag-axle RV here on the recommendation of a man in Chapman, KS. He was so right, this was the place! We thought our inside driver-side tire was dead. These guys quickly removed the outer tire and determined that the inner tire was nearly empty. Best place to get either vehicle or farm tires purchased or repaired. Many farmers from out the area deal here they are better than others who might be closer. Staff both in office and service are great and know their stuff. read more
