A more recent update of my visit to a place I remember visiting way long time ago. It happened to cross my mind so I thought, "why not take a trip?" I first heard of Donuts Mama through social media. It's very nostalgic since this was about 5 years ago from my first visit. What I recalled was the warm donuts and offerings on the menu. But with that, also came a warm and friendly attitude from the owner. I can say after that time has passed, I still feel that same way. This is definitely your local spot for a quick bite or to go. Drive thru is available too. I picked the simple options: glazed donuts, donut holes and a sausage cheese kolache. The sausage kolache has the right amount of dough, sausage and cheese ratio. There was a little space to make sure the sausage had room in the dough. The donut holes and glazed donuts are just right as well. Light in texture, a light glaze on top and every bite is soft with a tiny bit of chewiness. I am pretty sure my review will be similar to how I seen it 5 years back. It is a little ways of a drive from area but I gladly stop in when I can if I am looking for local bites. Great as always and a nice visit that brought me some nostalgia when I was a student on a donut run before class. read more

Local donut shop with a vast menu. Drive thru service available. Customer service was great. We got a variety of items. Glazed donuts, sausage/cheese kolache, sausage/jalapeno and cheese kolache, apple fritters, cinnamon roll, cinnamon twist and Vietnamese coffee. Vietnamese coffee was delicious! This is actually my second trip to donuts mama. Today I got a jalapeño sausage kolache and what I thought was a cheese danish with an orange juice. Well I want to start off by saying the lady that was serving me was so sweet! She made small talk and she even threw in some donut holes. Now onto the truth.... the kolache bread was nice and soft and the sausage inside was a decent size but I didn't taste any jalapeño there was the slightest spice in the background so if you want a regular kolache get the regular one. The danish was not what I was expecting. I thought it was a cream cheese danish. I got it because they are my favorite, but the center tasted like some vanilla icing or just some powdered sugar sauce. Very disappointed. I trashed it honestly and I try not to waste food. The donut holes were good though so that saved my sweet tooth. So in the future I will definitely leave the danishes alone and stick to the breakfast sandwich's', possibly the kolaches and the regular glazed like my previous visit. If you're coming from HCC Missouri City, drive down to Donuts Mama. Sweet lady! Ordered a few things, which were all great. My favorites were the vietnamese iced coffee and sausage & cheese kolache. She happily recommended a different donut when the one I originally asked was sold out. Glad she did because it was yummy. I wish I remembered what it was called. I will be back! The owner was charging me for food that I didn't ask for. She said she wanted us to try it and she was giving it to us for free, but we later found out by a new girl that started working there that the owner was over charging us every time. I have never had kolaches like this. The service was amazing as the owner served us personally. She was also kind enough to stay open 5 minutes later because we were not going to make it on time! It was all worth the drive. I you like boudin Kolaches they are the best. The boudin is a large portion without the skin. That's my wife's favorite. This place is so delicious. My family and i came in about two weeks ago, and my experience was so pleasant im still thinking about it.
