We were pretty happy with this hotel- the price was right, because we were able to bargain with the front desk staff. Actually, she bargained with us- we were about to leave, and she basically asked us how much we were looking to spend.
We got a great price, and were put in a room with a view of the river. The rooms was clean, well kept, had all the amenities we needed, and was pretty spacious for a European hotel in that class (it is a three star hotel, I think...).
The location is really what it's all about - were were close to the city center, shopping, a historical cathedral ruin, etc. I wouldn't have picked another location in Waterford.
The breakfast was absolutely amazing! It's served in the historical wood paneled pub, and was the best full Irish breakfast we had, hands down. I was completely full, and then realized they were still bringing out delicious food for us.
Our only complaint was that the internet didn't go through to the rooms, and the pay-by the-minute internet kiosk in the main entry was down. read more
