It was surprisingly quiet inside and that combined with the cool blue lighting created a peaceful respite from the glaring sun. All of the clientele were speaking French, but as we struggled in our French, the gracious bartender addressed us fluently in English. Tapis Vert has a huge room with about 50 pool tables, another huge room with lots of card tables, and a third huge room with a dozen dartboards.
