Business owner has no intention of honoring the lifetime warranty. My rear windshield starting wrinkling 15 months after install, in that time my windows have never come into contact with ammonia based products. Despite this, the owner insisted that ammonia was used on the window and that he would not honor the lifetime warranty. My guess would be that the film Dope Tintings uses is too cheap to be used on windows with a defroster. According to other reviews this is not an isolated incident. Dope Tintings advertises a lifetime warranty that they have no intention of honoring. Take your business somewhere else! read more

Owner is rude when you have questions about the warranty. I asked him to look at my tints because at the top of the window, there was line streaks. I dropped my car off and then he called me back in a demeaning tone and said nothing he can do, it's normal and basically get over it. When I asked him the reason for his tone, he blamed it on me but he's the owner so he should have professionalism. Had a parking permit sticker on a back window, easy peel easy stick, they peel it off to do tint but forgot to stick it back in place so I woke up to a heavy parking ticket. Got a call midday from Dope tinting saying "hey come get you pass we forgot to stick it" but when I went to pick it up I asked for help in paying my parking ticket and got a rude "NO"... Just a story adopt me paying full price, leaving tips but then stealing more time out of my day to deal with aftermath and paying another 100$ for a ticket, all that could've been avoided... Got my windows tinted here 2 years ago decided to write a review since they are still up to no good. There was a promo that caught my eye online, so I decided to call and spoke to the owner Rico (a chump) he said to stop in and inquire. I asked about to different shades of tint for the front and back. He stated he would not honor the deal since it was two shades. I still decided to go with this worthless POS owner's establishment anyway to give some local business my hard earned money, mistakes were made by me... I get my vehicle back from being tinted at the establishment, after 1 week I noticed some bubbles and hair on my front windows. I know bubbles are normal since I've gotten tints before but hair.. no way! I went back and approached the owner and asked for my receipt for the "Lifetime" warranty. He began to give me an attitude and yelled this is normal for hair to be in it.. I'm like what? Redo this window and he became aggressive and finally decided to take my car. I got my car back and wrote my gas mileage down at 172 miles left in the tank, I got my car back and there was 104 left in the tank. I believe that this man left my car on the whole time when completing his mistakes or revved my engine to purposefully to damage my car.. hey chump owner Rico I hope you got carbon dioxide poisoning you POS. The hair in the tints were still in the window. The lifetime warranty will never get honored because the owner will come up with any excuse not to honor it. I saw a post today about someone that had the same issue and unfortunately it was too late for me. I never use window cleaner to clean my windows since the owner told me when I picked up the car not to. I always clean my windows even if I take it to a car wash I tell then not to clean my windows. My back window started bubbling this year after 7 years since the original job so when I called the owner he refused to believe me that I never use window cleaner and insist that me or someone else had to apply something on the window to cause it to bubble. The owner told me that the best he could do for me is not charge me for the removal and charge me $100 to replace the tint. Save yourself the aggravation and money and go somewhere else. Very disappointed with this company. I had my car windows tinted when this company was known as 215 Motoring in 2014. I held on to my receipt because of the lifetime warranty. It is now 2020 and the company has changed their name to Dope Tintings, but they are still the same original company but in a different location. I reached out to the company through their website for a warranty issue and new business quote (added another car to our household) and never got a response. I gave it about a week and called and was told that they never got an email and gave me the email address again and asked me to send pictures. Before hanging up, Ricco (spelling?) had asked me questions about cleaning the window and was more or less saying I used something to make it bubble. I rarely clean that window because of it being the back and the angle, but only used ammonia free products when it was cleaned. So I send another email with pictures of the windows, the glass cleaner we use and a picture of my receipt. Never got a response and after a week, I called again. Spoke with Ricco and he said he got the email and proceeded to tell me that my tint was not going to be covered under the warranty because the window was cleaned with something to make it bubble. He said it could be a car wash I took it to??? I wash my car and on occasion run it through a wash, but no one is in my car. I tell him this, I tell him what I use on all my cars windows that have tint and he still tells me that I or someone else is the cause of the bubbling and he will remove the tint at no cost, but I will be charged to replace it. He told me my other windows will eventually bubble too. It has been 6 years and the other windows are perfect. I nicely told him that he is saying I did something that I did not do and he is not standing by his work or warranty and that I will go somewhere else. So because of those reasons, I will take my business for my new car elsewhere, leave this review here and any other place I can find, tell everyone I know about my experience, and notify the BBB. It is unfortunate for me that I expect people to be like me and do what is right... causes disappointment and trust issues with companies that provide a service. I believe I've written a review on this business before. I had inquired about tint on my car about a year ago. My experience was not the best to say the least. And that review has vanished. LOL. So that was the past, this is the present, so I will talk about my newest experience! I only came back to this business because of the pricing. Tint elsewhere is priced at about $100 dollars more. They had moved locations, and I did call before I went just to see if the pricing had changed. It did go up by $20, which to me was still a great price. I talked to the owner, and gave him my car information. I asked if he has openings the same day, and he told me yes. He indeed took my car that day. I've seen all types of tint. When I was finally able to put my windows down and inspect his work... Excuse my language but he did a damn good job. There are no gaps. the tint goes all the way to the edge of the windows. I see no bubbles, or anything of that sort. I will definitely suggest this place to my friends. read more

wow most unprofessional business I've ever encountered. We had a schedule mix up and when I tried to get my deposit back or reschedule the appointment the guy working totally lost his mind. Wow, steer clear of this place! Terrible service and sloppy work. I took my brand new car to this guy (mike) because I live nearby and heard he did a good job at a reasonable price. The lady at the desk (britney) was nice but uninformed. She chain smokes while booking your appt and promises the tint will be factory perfect. Instead, my tint had bubbles everywhere, lint/fuzz trapped under the tint, jagged edges along the edge of my window, and noticeable scuff marks along the top of my driver's side window (that i have to look at every day). I had the unfortunate experience today of communicating with someone who works there or almost the place. He is very disrespectful and unprofessional. When I came into the building I waited for approximately two to three minutes for someone to come to the front which no one did. Since the door to the shop was open I yelled hello into the shop. This brood human being just motioned to me to go back out of the shop. He then comes to the front saying that I should have just waited for him to come up to the front as he was finishing tinting windows on a car. I responded saying then maybe you should have a bell or some kind of way for customers to know that you're aware that they are in your waiting room. He then said he could see me on his camera but matter of fact just have a nice day. He and I exchanged more words ending with me saying to him as a customer you should not speak to me in that . And you should have another system in place so that customers know that you are aware that they are in the waiting room. is why we as black people cannot move forward because we deal with each other in this disrespectful way. He responds well I'm not black even though he and I are the exact same skin tone. Rather he is black or not is really not the issue the point of professionalism is. Very upset with this "business." About a month ago I paid $159 four my car to get tinted with Suntek standard pro film. After viewing a video the owner just posted about film cost, I did some research. Turns out the film he used for my car cost $196 for a full roll! On his video he stated he can do 10 cars with 1 roll. The job looks ok. My biggest concern is that he did to me and many others the same thing that he talks crap about in his video that he just posted for all of us, his clients, to see.
