I collect art with some pieces $100k+ with some from the baroque era and some that survived the world wars, so I know what I'm talking about. When I went in it was rudeness like they couldn't be bothered. Since I have many collections I started asking questions and the person working said they had no clue nor the did other people... they have zero knowledge of real art, nor do they care if they sale anything, so why even bother to have a place if you have no clue? In the end their art is completely worthless almost like a students art work, its pictures of dogs and bears and nothing of any value. It's more like they went to goodwill or a Ross store.

My son was delivering a paint to a show in Blue Ridge, GA. When he dropped it off, the show would not allow it because I used the wrong frame (my fault completely). There was a very narrow window (2 hours) to change the frame or lose the opportunity to be in the Georgia Watercolor Society National show for 2023. 4elementsart came to the rescue and reframed the piece in less than 1 hour. The team saved the day and did it with great humor and skill. I want to thank them all.

We checked this place out after returning from the scenic railroad excursion around 2 p.m. It is…read morelocated facing the railroad tracks about 2 blocks south of the train depot. It is beyond the new county courthouse building it what appears to be the prior courthouse. Admission is free, though donations are encouraged. Given that Blue Ridge is a fairly small town, the scope of their arts building was quite impressive. When we visited, they had a gallery exhibit that took up the entrance hallways plus what was the main courtroom. Many of the paintings were very good. My impression was that they host rotating exhibits like this periodically. There are certainly towns much larger than Blue Ridge that have nothing like this facility for their arts communities. In addition to this main exhibit, they also had an arts supply store in the building, as well as a kiln in the basement for pottery (including classes). They also offered classes in upstairs rooms, on various arts-related topics. I believe the town also hosts arts events a few times a year (like plein air sessions and festivals). If we make it back to Blue Ridge in the future, we'll likely return here to see what new exhibits are on display. I'm giving it a 5-rating due to it exceeding expectations by a wide margin.

The women in this store aren't hear to just ring up your purchase, they actually do a wonderful job of presenting the artist and discussing their work. That's how you sell art and it is definitely a feature that sets them apart from the other stores. My husband and I were interested in this huge handcrafted piece and the sales person provided great information about the artist's, (now deceased), history and work. The gallery is beautiful and showcases various art objects from local artists. They had sculpted items, pottery, jewelry, paintings and more. You are asked not to take photos due to copyright concerns and this is quite understandable. When in town, don't forget to stop by the Turning Leaf!

When someone says can I ask a question...the appropriate response isn't "maybe" followed by more rude attitude. How about greet a customer with kindness? Sitting there on your phone not paying attention and seeming annoyed by a customer is not a way to sell products. As a rock collector I was excited to add to my collection especially since I drove two hours to visit this particular store and am extremely let down by the experience I just had. You never know what someone is going through or how they might have just been looking forward to visiting your shop then to be treated so poorly just really messes up the whole day. In the back, there's a beautiful gallery featuring stunning photos of North Georgia available for purchase. The candles and soaps all smell amazing; it was tough to choose just one.
