Spectacular service, my husband was interested in some whisky and the hostess/whisky expert/amazing woman came to ask what he likes and recommend something. He loved what he got, a local whisky made down the road. We had the special of the day: Pie and Pud. Mine was cheese and leek and his was venison. Delicious! The first dish we've had in Scotland where even the vegetables were seasoned. Perfect pastry and such savory flavors. We were almost too full for the pud! Almost. Toffee pudding and chocolate brownie were intensely sweet and yummy. After dessert, we were welcome to have tea in the parlor, but of course! Great views of the loch while having fresh loose leaf tea, homemade shortbread, and a crackling fireplace. We got a few 'local insights' to quite beaches we wouldn't have found without these suggestions. The food was incredible, making it hard to eat anywhere else at night. There are two options Seamus' Bar and the main restaurant in the hotel. Both are delicious with great vibes and well stocked bars! Definitely try the Misty Isle Gin and Cuillin beers (brewed on site!). The rooms are beautiful, a Scottish high end finish and super homely! When they could not fit…read moreour family in at the B&B Inn for our whole stay they suggested we take a family room in the bunk house for one of our nights. So having taken a family of four to both Ill give you some tips. They are both lovely ways to stay but if you want your kids close and safe while still having a door between you for alone time with your partner stay in the inn. If you plan to make your own meals to save money stay in the bunkhouse. But even if you choose the bunkhouse it's worth paying for a breakfast in the Inn.
