The chubby girl was not. So I left. After running an errand I came back to to see if I could schedule an appointment with another dentist since Dr. Lam had already wasted enough of my time. The chubby girl proceeded to speak to me in a condescending tone. She tried to say that sometimes appointments run over and blah blah...I attempted to relay the above she was not interested in hearing my position and kept cutting me off. See then continued on in her condescending tone saying that there may be fees involved as most dentists, in the process of consulting, would need to look at my teeth. I assured her I knew the difference between a consult and an exam and I was here for the free consultation that was advertised in the window. I was not here for an exam. I know what dental work I need. I was seeking specific advice and costs. She continued repeating her sales pitch in her negative holier that thou tone. Visiting a dentist can be hard enough. I recommend you find a business that at least understands the basics of tone and respect. After all they'll be drilling into your face. Personally I'm taking my money elsewhere.

NOT RECOMMENDED My…read moreentire family and I had been going for over 5 years and we were dedicated to them exclusively. We even recommended them to everyone we knew becuase we were so pleased. However, they have just switched owners / changed dentists and DIDN'T TELL ME prior to my appointment. So after my appointment I was hit with a massive bill, no where near what I normally used to pay. I was in complete shock! It is due to two reasons 1) they have increased their prices significantly and 2) they no longer give small discounts for people without dental insurance. I have called over 5 dentists in the area and all of them give discounts to people without insurance. In fact, I was told it is common practice to do that in Toronto! The new owners have just obtained a great customer base from the previous dentists and this is how they treat us? Welcome to your new dentist, now I'm going to screw you, open wide! The services I received were exactly the same as I had received preivously in the past, just at a much higher price tag. I won't go again and will be contacting all of my family, friends and neighbours I recommended them to so they know what has happened.
