I love this place. I always stop by after work, usually tired and hungry. The food is amazing and tasty and they serve the food the quickest I've ever seen. I'm literally in and out in less than 30 minutes which is so convenient for me after a long day at work. Visited with my family on Easter and was surprised to find them open! Excellent service, all of the servers were wearing bunny ears which I thought was festive. Much like many other Mexican restaurants around, but some nice differences: The chips and salsa are also served with bean dip and a sweet ranch dip. Our food was plentiful and very filling. I just moved to Lenoir and was looking to try some Mexican food. The chips are nice and thick, and did not have any rancid smell from old oil, which is a problem I've had with several Mexican restaurants. The chips come with 2 salsas and a white creamy dip that I couldn't quite place, but it wasn't bad. I also ordered cheese dip and Guacamole Mexicano, which was prepared table-side. The ingredients were fresh and everything was in good proportion to the other ingredients. The cheese dip has good flavor. I ordered the chicken fajitas, which came with the usual beans, salad, tortillas, guac dip and sour cream. The chicken could have been a little more seasoned for my taste but it was all good. The staff was very friendly and attentive, and all of that food was under $25, which was surprising since I ordered way more than one person could eat. The entire place was very clean, and service was fast. You could easily get in and out in 30 minutes at lunch. read more

Another great meal at Dos Amigos! What really made this visit special was our server, Brandon. He stopped by several times to see if we needed anything; filled my water glass at least 4 times. So when my mother and I got there, it was super busy. We got in. We ordered our drinks and when the server came and took our order, we ordered two ACP's with some shrimp on it. I'm not lying when I say it literally took them maybe five minutes to bring out our food. I expected they probably had a bin of rice on heat table you know, but I know it takes longer than five minutes to cook chicken and shrimp. Nothing was hot. Honestly, it seemed like they just poured hot cheese on top to warm everything up. I mean it was clean there stuff but as far as the quality of the food, maybe next time if there is a next time, I'll just order something else. read more

Great that the menu is updated often. Keeps the choices fresh. I would say that the food here is very good. Some items are better than others. For example I ordered a fish dish just because I wanted something different. It was ok, but certainly not the best thing on the menu. The next day at lunch I returned and ordered a lunch special of a burrito, rice and beans. It was excellent. One visit you may get 1 sauce with your chips and the next you may get two different ones. Or upon refill of chips and sauce you may get a different one brought. Recommended and we will continue to visit often. read more

I ordered nacho supreme and live 5 mins away. I picked up my food in 10 minutes. I get there and it's cold to the touch. I open up the bag and it's the most plain nachos that didn't taste good. We were looking for good food in Lenoir and came across Dos Amigos. It was Tuesday, as in taco Tuesday so I said: why not? We were warmly welcomed by one of the servers and a guy who we are pretty sure is a manager with the words: welcome friends! We were seated immediately and shower with chips and salsas. Yes salsas as in plural, four of them, competing for which one was the most delicious. It was a tie. We love all of them. We ordered a California burrito and the steak was incredibly tasty. This burrito is huge! Also ordered the taquitos and they were amazing. Service was outstanding and prices are affordable. Highly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to go back to try more dishes! read more

If you are going alone, be prepared for bad service. I sat at the bar where the employee finished her text then kept checking it while she was trying to help. I was the only person there too. Then they tried telling me their POS system Only had one name for whiskey which is Hennessy. I said there is a huge price difference between cognac and whiskey but they stuck to the lie. Visiting from out of town, we looked at Yelp to see the top restaurants in Lenoir. Dos Amigos was high rated so we stopped in for lunch. We were immediately greeted and seated by a very friendly young lady. The restaurant was very modern, nice and clean with beautiful Mexican music filling the air. The menu was extensive, lots of choices but we decided on the Appetizer Sampler platter and one lunch combo. We love the cheese sauce instead of the red, they took the request without a problem. The salsa and bean dip were both great! The chips were very fresh, thin and light. It wasn't long before the order arrived and it tasted as good as it looked! The servers worked together and were very nice and helpful. We finished and the bill came; the platter, the lunch special, and a tea was $18.00, a great price! But if the food was mediocre it wouldn't be a good deal. But the food was great, the whole experience was as well. read more

Stopped by for some Mexican food while traveling in the area and it was awesome. From the chips with both salsa and bean dip that arrived at the table just after we set down to the entrees we had, all spot on. Can't recall the dishes names we tried, they were in the new items area of the menu, but Wow, what great flavor. So disappointed. Don't know if we just came on a bad night but there were 5 people, we sat down for a good 10 minutes before anyone came to take our drink order. He came back with our drinks and then disappeared for another 10 minutes. That waiter never even came back we had another waiter that took our order. Food was cold the ceveche was $12 for shrimp and tomato's basically. it was disgusting. I got the #27 the burrito was cold. Had to send it back.
