Not really sure what to rate this restaurant, so I went in the middle. It's an order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. The employees are very pleasant and nice. Place is very clean. I ordered the steak nachos, a cup of elote, the hubs ordered street tacos with Barbacoa. Nachos came to the table first. I'm a picky eater and at first thrown off by the little balls of steak and the liquid cheese. But I ate it and it's wasn't bad. The street tacos were brought next and hubs enjoyed them. The elote never showed up so before we left we asked about it and we immediately given our cup to go. My thoughts are maybe we will return and try something else. Who knows? read more

There was a dog in the back. My tummy hurts. The food did not taste fresh. But it was clean in the dining room.

Found this place and it became a regular place we'd go, at okay twice a week. After a couple of months, we took family to eat before Christmas. We'd talked about it so much and built it up. Only to be standing around a fairly empty dining room, without being greeted or acknowledged. Tables were dirty, so not even able to sit and wait. We finally gave up and went to Cowboy Chicken, which we enjoyed very much. So I guess if customer service doesn't matter, go wait and hopefully you find your favorite foods. Update* Ok so returned the next day at the owners suggestion and ordered the Rubi's fried tacos. 3 barbacoa and 1 chicken to try it. This time around it was really good. If a little bit of salt is added this is a solid meal with the consome. The consome reminds me of a lightly seasoned menudo style liquid which goes great with the fried tacos. These are definitely an eat in plate. To go, too long might take away from the taco texture making them soggy but eaten right away they have a great cheese pull, nice soft/crisp bite. I would recommend the fried tacos, barbacoa just not the street ones. The Salsas were on point again so I know those are consistent.* Original Review* Located at a corner in the Target parking lot they have a lot of parking. First impression was interesting as they still have their Christmas tree and Christmas decor up and we're a week into February and the place had not one soul in sight. I ended up looking a little closer and they had a Valentine's Day tree with hearts on it instead of Christmas ornaments lol. Non the less I was greeted with a warm hello from the very friendly staff. Walk up and order your food at the counter and sit. Food was extremely fast. To me the menus seemed a bit overpriced for its offerings but I figured the portions must make up for it. I decided on the 3 street tacos. One barbacoa, one Bistec and one Al pastor. Again, first impression was a little off when they brought out these tiny 2 bite single corn tortilla tacos. They are served with 3 different salsas. All topped with cilantro, white onion and shredded cabbage with 2 limes on the side. The barbacoa was more of a guisado wet style with a reddish tint to it. It did need salt and although it was tender, the flavor was somewhat bland. I will say texture was on point though and the corn tortilla was good. This one was edible with salsa and salt it did hit the spot. Bistec, don't waste your choice of meat on this one. No Flavor, like at all. Looks are definitely deceiving on this one because although it looks decent, you are better off asking for a topping taco and adding salsa. Al Pastor?? I'm normally not so blunt but this looked like red tinted soggy fried dog food. Took one bite and that was enough for me. It was cold, texture like a soggy fried piece of meat and just not "it" like at all. Paid $11.86 for 3 tacos a soda with $1.85 tip to leave hungry lol. I'm hoping it was just a bad kitchen day and this isn't a regular type of offering but price/portion wise, I don't think it worth it. Kudos for the 3 salsas they we're actually really good. I went to school in Oklahoma, where Taco (no) Bueno was the goto fast food (not)Mexican food available. I was hungry for tacos and not the fast food or TeX-Mex and this came very close. I had the Rubio's Fried taco with Barbacoa and they were delicious. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. I would recommend Dos Amigos Taqueria to anyone that is looking for Mexican food and Tex-Mex they come very close Will be back to try other items as well. read more

I wanna start this off by saying, I had gone to wash my hands in the restroom and when I went in it the toilet was clogged and it wasn't a pretty sight. I washed my hands (no soap in the soap dispenser and no paper towels) the toilet water was all over the floor... it was leaking out and barely going down the drain on the floor. I know sometimes things happen. But I'm sure I wasn't the only one to have noticed it and another lady had told them about the restroom. They then went and clean it up after it was already been mentioned by more than one person. It sent me personally a bad look for the business. Now the food, it tasted like fish, rice and beans? Fish, fries? Fish... as someone who's currently pregnant I'm hoping that the utensils were not crossed contaminated by fish for the sake of my baby... yes it was cooked but the fact it tasted like fish to begin with doesn't set right with me. I'm very disappointed in the food and the cleanliness that was lacking. I was told good things about this place and wanted to try it. read more

We love Dos Amigos, and I always recommend it to my friends. Our go to is typically the Rubys fried tacos (Quesabirria). In my opinion you won't find better Quesabirria tacos around here. The eloté is also really good. Definitely recommend anyone in Longview, surrounding area, or visiting to try this place out. read more
