I bought a house late last year, and it seems like every project I do, no matter how big or how small, turns in to a total cluster-you-know-what. Veteran home owner friends of mine smugly smile and say things like, "Isn't owning a house great?" a phrase I'm already tired of hearing. Last weekend my girlfriend and I figured we'd rip out the gnarly overgrown bushes in the front of my house and go to town with some fresh, modern, landscaping. Seems easy, right? Well, it was until we discovered the roots of these bushes, which were probably as old as the house itself, turned out to be like something out of a sci-fi horror movie. I tried everything I could find on Google to get rid of them, including going out and buying an axe... which merely bounced off the remaining root structures. You could almost hear the bushes laughing at me. I actually found Dos Tree Service on Craigslist, and after giving them a call Fernando came out right away and helped me out. With a real stump grinder, he made quick work of all five stumps, cleaned up after himself, filled all the holes, and then walked around my property with me telling me about the trees I have and what kind of maintenance I should be doing on them- A totally unexpected bonus. I'm not sure I've got a full tree trimming in the budget for this year, but I'll totally be calling them when I do next year. Tree trimming services.... I utilized their services for a number of years. My only disappointment was a couple of years ago that I tried and called numerous times and no one ever returned my call. At one point I spoke to one of the brothers and he told me that they would call back. But that never occurred so I had to reach out to another service which also did a fine job. At the time I was utilizing their service services for our HOA, I also referred their services to the community next to us which they two utilize them. So it's confusing to me why they never returned my calls. I'm only getting four stars because of the situation of them not returning my calls. But the work they provided was always excellent when I felt that they were more responsible in calling back. read more

The five star reviews are what led us to go with DOS Tree Service, and they did not disappoint! It was a 6 hour job at our place and they were phenomenal! All the guys on the team wore extensive protective gear and were really responsible. They came back and ground down some stumps so our crazy growing bushes wouldn't keep coming back. They cleaned up all the debris from our driveways, sidewalks, etc. and put down wood if they had to drive their equipment onto our lawn. Super respectful of our property. I can't recommend Dos Tree Service enough. When other companies were scared away by the mother of all Karens of a neighbor (i.e. taking pictures of people's license plates in the street, calling the police for "trespassing"), who was trying to prevent us from trimming her tree branches that were overhanging our property, Dos Tree Service took on the job. They were nothing but professional, even when Karen called the police and city code enforcement on them when they arrived on site, and able to complete the work, all while staying on our side of our property line using their spider lift. They are true arborists, also mentioning that we shouldn't trim one of the elm trees until next winter when the tree is dormant, so we can't wait to have them out again. 1000% recommend. Hired Dos Tree Service to trim 5 trees around our property. Some had tree branches extending over the roof and one tree had dead branches in really in a difficult/high places. Dos Tree Services promptly responded to quote request, showed up to the house and listened to all my requests. They provided good advice on what needed to be done and what was not needed. Quote was reasonable taken into consideration the large crew and the work and care they put when they arrived. Everything was done with safety in mind for the house and for the crew, they were organized and left the place as if they had never been here (except that the trees were looking perfect afterwards). Ed and the crew spent several days at my house removing a HUGE cottonwood tree. They quoted me a good price and came out before they started to check on equipment access to the tree. The machine they used was very cool. It was a big red bucket man lift with four long legs to stabilize it while being used. It was able to get through a narrow gate but also reach very high up into my tall tree over the top of my garage. Every branch they cut was expertly tied off first and lowered to the ground carefully. During the several days of work they did no damage. They ground out the massive stump below the ground and cleaned up everything as they worked, so when they left there was only some sawdust mulch where the stump was. They worked very well as a team, were neat and polite and professional. Great job on the tree, guys! read more

This company exemplifies just how WELL a business can be managed. Your call goes to voice mail and is returned in the early evening. Fernando did a thorough quote in writing with pictures. He even discovered a more menacing tree issue that we hadn't even noticed. The price was VERY competitive. When the crew showed up it included The Tree Whisperer. This man could read a tree's needs and heathfully and beautifully trimmed our massive maples. They were fast, efficient, observed safety practices and cleaned up as if it had never even happened. Eduardo and his team did a great job! We had about 12 quick-fire hydrangeas around our house that needed some serious pruning. They also trimmed some bushes in the back. Eduardo was meticulous and has a good eye for shaping plants. His crew was also careful to clean all of the extra branches and leaves, and there was a lot! When he was finished, he had me take a look to make sure everything was how I wanted. I had a few changes and he took care of those as requested. Two thumbs way up for Eduardo and his team! Fernando and his crew made my trees look beautiful! He was very easy to work with and gave me a quote the same day I called. Compared to other companies I called, he was the most responsive and easiest to work with. His pricing was very fair as well. They removed one tree which hung over the house and took extreme precaution to avoid any damage. One thing that stood out was that they laid down boards to avoid any damage to my grass.
